You are viewing my 1979 Jeep CJ7 V8. Vehicle is an unmolested CJ7 with 60,000 original miles on it. Originally a South Dakota vehicle, the CJ came to the southern state of North Carolina - both locations with no Salt used on the roads ...
Vehicle has undergone new paint, decal work and new tires & wheels. We started with a VERY SOLID BODY. Recent mechanicals include Water and fuel pumps as well as brakes and battery, The 304 V8 runs well and does not burn any oil. An Edlebrock 4bl card was added. The 4WD system is sound- vehicle does have the lock out hubs.As you can see vehicle has the factory hardtop. ALL rubber / weatherstripping has beed replaced ( not cheap). A bikini top and 1/2 doors also come with the vehicle. A new windshield was also installed. Vehicle does have AC however during the restoration the under dash mount unit grew legs and dissapeared. However everything else is in tact. Vehicle received a new quartz clock during the sertoration as well.
New seats have been installed. I have a brand new carpet kit to be installed. Vehicle has a respectable Kenwood sound system (removable face).
New Chrome Valve covers to be installed this weekend
The CJ7 runs great - everything on her is in working order. No expense has been spared. I will miss this vehicle. Its fun in the summer and a great vehicle to count on in cold weather.

Jeep gunning to build 250,000 Cherokees a year
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Contrary to what a certain politician may have said last year about Jeep moving to China, the automaker is in fact doing the opposite, with plans to greatly increase the production capacity at its Toledo North Assembly plant in Ohio. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that there are big plans for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Toledo North, as a local union president has informed the newspaper that Chrysler is planning to produce around 250,000 examples of the new midsize utility per year.
To put this number into context, 250,000 units is more than what Jeep Liberty sales totaled here over the last three years combined. Even taking into consideration that the 250,000 units will be distributed beyond US borders, that's an ambitious volume figure full-stop - and that's without taking into consideration the new Cherokee's love/hate design. In its favor, though, Jeep is making remarkable inroads globally as of late, and the Cherokee's size could work well in emerging markets. To get that kind of output from Toledo's Cherokee assembly line, Chrysler will reportedly hire 1,105 new workers - that's in addition to the 200 workers already being hired to build the popular Jeep Wrangler, which is itself expected to top 220,000 units this year.
Watch this R/C Jeep Wrangler plow snow
Mon, 06 Jan 2014There's no denying the fact that the Jeep Wrangler is one tough and rugged vehicle, and there is apparently little lost when the SUV is shrunk down for a 1:10th scale radio-controlled version. Proving that the Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler is not your run-of-the-mill R/C car, YouTube user Andrew Dykiel posted a pair of videos showing it clear about an inch of snow from his sidewalk and driveway during a snow storm last month.
Starting at $379.99, the Axial SCX10 costs more than most budget snowblowers, but other than paying a neighbor kid to shovel your snow, this might be the best way for a car guy to clear snow without the need for hot chocolate and ibuprofen. Better yet, it's electric, so it's zero-emission answer to snow removal! Scroll down to see how this R/C Jeep can help "shovel" snow from the warmth of your sofa. We've also thrown in a bonus video showing the mini Jeep negotiating the Rubicon Trail.
First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
