1979 Jeep Cj7 Classic Antique Convertible With Plow Four Wheel Drive 4 X 4 on 2040-cars
Kent, Ohio, United States
1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade 4 X 4 with plow. Very dependable great running 6 cylinder engine with 3 speed floor shift and good big tires. Has a new radiator, muffler and tailpipe, gas tank and skid plate. Body has some rust but extra body patch panels to use if desired are included. Frame is very good. Nice interior. Lights, wipers, heater, defroster, horn, gauges all work except we forgot to connect the ground wire to the new gas tank. Sale includes skid plates and plow lights that should work, but I never used them. Comes with removable hard top & doors with roll up windows. There is no soft top. Myers plow is only working up and down. The left and right quit working but rather than repair it, I bought a spare pump that I was told was re-built and goes with the Jeep and should be an easy swap. Includes $240 Optima battery. Plow all winter and take the roof off and play all summer. I bought the Jeep 2 winters ago just to plow my driveway and recently needed a pickup truck. The one I bought came with a plow, so I no longer have a use for the Jeep. Call Jack at 330/389-0456 or use eBay messaging with any questions or to arrange a personal inspection. Do NOT text. I will ignore texting. If you have less than 3 positive feedback you MUST CALL first before bidding or I may cancel your bid. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of auction end with balance received within 7 calendar days of end of auction. Bank wire transfer or cash will get immediate possession of clear title and vehicle. |

Jeep Wrangler likely to get aluminum body, will stay in Toledo
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Perhaps more than any other vehicle currently for sale in the United States, the Jeep Wrangler is viewed by purist fans as a vehicle that simply must maintain the status quo. In this case, that means a body-on-frame design, solid axles, a relatively large engine sitting up front and a removable top. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
Maybe.
According to the most recent reports, the next-generation Jeep will continue to soldier forth with a full steel chassis underneath its stamped bodywork. The biggest change, reports Automotive News, will be that said panels will be hewn from aluminum instead of steel, a seismic shift of a transition not unlike what's happened with the new Ford F-150. Because it won't be a unibody, the SUV will likely continue to be assembled in Toledo, OH as it (almost) always has been - the latter has been a source of heartburn in recent weeks for the Northwestern city in the Buckeye State.
FCA plants skipping summer shutdown to keep up with demand
Thu, May 14 2015Hopefully, some FCA US factory employees don't have big plans for the usual summer shutdown, because the automaker is keeping several plants running this year. Demand is so high that the company wants to keep models rolling off the assembly lines. Four FCA US assembly plants, all the engine factories, and some locations that build transmissions are staying open throughout the summer, according to the Detroit Free Press. Usually, these sites would see a two-week shutdown for the company to retool and perform repairs. This year, factories are staying open for FCA to support its strong sales. The lines that remaining humming through the summer show an inclination toward the automaker's popular SUV's and crossovers. They include the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Michigan that builds the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango; Saltillo Van Assembly in Mexico that constructs the Ram ProMaster; Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio that produces the Cherokee and Wrangler; and Toluca Assembly in Mexico that makes the Dodge Journey and Fiat 500.
