 Hello,

I have 3 years labor, and over $11,000 in verified cash receipts in this jeep.  I only put about 5000 miles on this since the complete build. Be the first to take it in the mud!!  I have too much time and money in this jeep to get it muddy.  I took it to the dunes once and it did great. Here are the specs:

Short Fender style tub with later model frame/ dash & windshield frame. (The good Electric wipers, defrost, etc)

Engine:

350 ci. Fresh rebuild

New Oil pump, timing set, rings, bearings, water pump, ps pump, alternator, etc.

Comp Cams 292 grind cam. .501 lift, 292 duration

Custom built headers

3hp mini-starter

Aluminum radiator/ electric fan. (runs cool)

Victor Jr. aluminum intake w/ 1” spacer

Summit 750cfm Holley copy carb w/ elec. Choke.

Starts easy even when cold.

Has very wicked idle, sounds mean.

(Have all receipts and machine shop itemization)

Heads:

Aluminum L98 Corvette heads Built at Speed shop in Tigard.

58cc chamber, flat top pistons, runs great on premium pump gas

Z28 springs, retainers, guide plates, vitan seals, Ported, flow tested. Huge runners

Stainless valves, 1.94/1.50

Chromoly pushrods, high-energy poly lock rocker nuts

Roller rockers

$900 invested

(Have all receipts)

Transmission:

GM Hydramatic TH-400

Bullet-proof Built by Shop in Roseburg

Upgraded high energy frictions

4L80E Direct Drum

NewSpiral lock rings, 34 element sprag, instead of weaker 16 element.

Transgo shift kit. (The good one that is also the “reprogramming kit”)

Small stall converter, I think it is a 1700 if I remember correctly, just enough to keep it from tugging hard at idle at the stop lights.

(Have all receipts)

Drive train etc:

Dana model 20 transfer case. New seals

Scout II Dana 44 front and rear

Disc brake front

New lift springs/ bushings

New Front brakes, calipers, etc.

New Ball joints

Crossover Power steering with all new larger than stock tie rods/ ends.

Drop pitman arm

We gave this 4 degrees of positive caster when setting up the front end, so it drives amazingly well. Better than a lot of stock- height jeeps I have owned.

Steering gear box is a Gm Saginaw box, Frame fish-plated for strength.

All driveshaft u-joints are  new

Rear driveshaft is a double- carden style that is setup correctly(no vibrations)

Dropped engine/ trans down approx. 4” and tilted tailshaft down to correct driveshaft angle. Gives jeep a really nice low center of gravity.

This is not a jeep that will “eat” u-joints once a year. It is setup right.

The rear end has been moved back approx. 2”

Dual gas tanks..10 gal under front seat, 14 gal under rear seat.

Switchable fuel guage .

Full roll cage w/ padding near head area.

Bed-lined inside of tub

New seats./ full seat belts front and rear

Heater works great, and yes it has defrost (no need to carry a towel)

8000lb Warn Winch. Looks and works like new.

Bestop top/ doors in great shape. Windows clear, very few scratches.

New Cragar Black wheels.

New 38x15.50-15 Nitto Mud Grappler tires with less than 500 miles. Still have “nipples” on tread.

Exhaust all new with flowmaster style stainless mufflers.

B&M floor shift

New motor mounts, fuel lines, etc.

Tilt Column

Tachometer

Speedometer, signals/indicators, wipers, heater blower, lights, KC lights, horn, etc all work great.

All white face manual gauges are new.

Body is not perfect, but not bad by any means. Floor pans look like they have been replaced and are in perfect shape. Paint is not perfect, but looks good.  Front fenders are fiberglass, everything else is steel. I have included pics of all blemishes on body. The only dent in the body is on hood where it appears someone threw the hood open hard at some point and creased it against windshield frame.

This jeep is huge and puts all others to shame in this area. Everybody looks when this monster comes rumbling down the road.  Approx 12” of lift, but drives good. Even at 75mph on the freeway.

I can deliver this to an auto shipper in any town within 2 hours from here if you buy this. I know there is one in Medford and probably one in Eugene. Call me with other questions, 541-580-1975. Thanks and happy bidding.

FCA cuts powertrain warranties to 60k miles

Fri, May 29 2015

FCA US is cutting back the mileage of its powertrain warranty on some 2016 model year vehicles. Rather than the current five years/100,000 miles of coverage, the new amount is five years/60,000 miles for gasoline-fueled models from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram. In March 2015, General Motors made a similar switch to five-years/60,000-miles of coverage for Chevrolet and GMC, and FCA US seems to be citing this as part of the reason for the shift. "Following changes already made by competitors, FCA US is adjusting powertrain warranty coverage for 2016 model year vehicles to be more consistent with industry practices," the automaker said in a portion of its statement. The bumper-to-bumper warranty for these vehicles is unchanged at three years/36,000 miles. According to Automotive News, Fiat's warranty is remaining at four years/50,000 miles. When it changed the mileage limit, GM also halved the number of free service visits for Chevy, GMC, and Buick to two from the previous four. The automaker claimed that the reason for the adjustments to its coverage was that a long warranty was seldom a reason for customers to buy a vehicle. For 2016MY, Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Ram Truck vehicles with gasoline engines will be covered by a 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. The basic coverage, also known as "bumper to bumper," remains at 3 years/36,000 miles. # # # News Source: FCA US, Automotive News - sub. req.Image Credit: Mark Ralston / AFP / Getty Images Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Car Buying Maintenance Ownership FCA warranty fca us powertrain

Drive like a prince: Join us for a walk through Monaco's car collection

Fri, Dec 29 2023

Small, crowded, and a royal pain in the trunk lid to drive into during rush hour, Monaco sounds like an improbable location for a huge car museum. And yet, this tiny city-state has been closely linked to car culture for over a century. It hosts two major racing events every year, many of its residents would qualify for a frequent shopper card if Rolls-Royce issued one, and Prince Rainier III began assembling a collection of cars in the late 1950s. He opened his collection to the public in 1993 and the museum quickly turned into a popular tourist attraction. The collection continued to grow after his death in April 2005; it moved to a new facility located right on Hercules Port in July 2022. Monaco being Monaco, you'd expect to walk into a room full of the latest, shiniest, and most powerful supercars ever to shred a tire. That's not the case: while there is no shortage of high-horsepower machines, the first cars you see after paying ˆ10 (approximately $11) to get in are pre-war models. In that era, the template for the car as we know it in 2023 hadn't been created, so an eclectic assortment of expensive and dauntingly experimental machines roamed whatever roads were available to them. One is the Leyat Helica, which was built in France in 1921 with a 1.2-liter air-cooled flat-twin sourced from the world of aviation. Fittingly, the two-cylinder spun a massive, plane-like propeller. Government vehicles get a special spot in the museum. They range from a Cadillac Series 6700 with an amusing blend of period-correct French-market yellow headlights and massive fins to a 2011 Lexus LS 600h with a custom-made transparent roof panel that was built by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet for Prince Albert II's wedding. Here's where it all gets a little weird: you've got a 1952 Austin FX3, a Ghia-bodied 1959 Fiat 500 Jolly, a 1960 BMW Isetta, and a 1971 Lotus Seven. That has to be someone's idea of a perfect four-car garage.  One of the most significant cars in the collection lurks in the far corner of the main hall, which is located a level below the entrance. At first glance, it's a kitted-out Renault 4CV with auxiliary lights, a racing number on the front end, and a period-correct registration number issued in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France. It doesn't look all that different than the later, unmodified 4CV parked right next to it. Here's what's special about it: this is one of the small handful of Type 1063 models built by Renault for competition.

Fiat Centro Stile sells design sketches to support kids in Italy

Sun, Jun 21 2020

Fiat's Centro Stile design studio in Europe has kicked off a project called stART Again to support the global charity Save the Children. The studio put 136 high-resolution sketches of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, and Lancia vehicles for download online at just ˆ20 a pop — about $22. The proceeds from all sales will be donated to a charity founded in England 101 years ago "to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts." Save the Children will use the funds to provide supplies, teaching materials, and support for studies for more than 100,000 children in the most disadvantaged areas of Italy who have been additionally harmed by the coronavirus and its effects. There are a heap of knockout drawings available. The selection at the Alfa Romeo store ranges from a 1958 Alfetta 158 racer to the coming Giulia GTA, classics in between including the immortal GTV 6 and the left-field 75 1.8 Turbo TCC racer. The Fiat marketplace contains wares from Abarth, Fiat, and Fiat Professional, with a massive emphasis on the new 500, but the hardcore 1972 Abarth 124 Spyder and oddball 900E van get slots in there (the 900E looks like a Volkswagen Vanagon, but the 900E came first). The Jeep shop is all business and big tires, save for the 1942 Willys MB, but someone needs to take the 1956 Jeep Forward Control sketch off the page and into reality. And the Lancia store has more to offer than the Stratos and Delta Integrale, an ominous Aurelia B20 GT and a Fulvia GT part of the five-model lineup. For some reason, Maserati got left out of the graphic bonanza, as did Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler, which is a shame. That still leaves 136 good reasons to click through and help the kiddies.
