Location:

Albany, Kentucky, United States

Albany, Kentucky, United States

It has a 1989 Jeep YJ frame whch is stronger than the original CJ frames and best of all gives you an extra 3.5" inside the frame rails for engine and exhaust mods and better handling. NO DAMAGE RUST OR ROT

The tub itself is also a 1989 YJ Wrangler tub. The tub and front fenders have been rhino lined inside and underside.

The engine is a 1995 350 LT1 fuel injected motor from a wrecked 95 Camaro it had 30000 miles on it when it was pulled and placed in the jeep.

Both front and rear ends are Dana 44 Axles from a International Scout. Front has disc brakes and we just recently put new rear lockers with disc brakes, they are 4:10 geared. The front end has been cut and turned the steering knuckles to give it the right amount of Caster for the Jeep as opposed to the Scout and considering driveline angles.

Tires are 35x14.50x15 Super Swamper Radial SSR mounted on 15x12 Eagle 589 Polished aluminum wheels.

The lift is a spring over conversion using new springs and also a shackle reversal kit in the front to enhance the ride quality of the Jeep. The Jeep has a very nice tough stance.

The Jeep has a hard top and full doors and also comes with matching hard factory half doors that are painted to match also. Very nice for Summer time with the top off.

All the hinges are stainless steel as are the differential covers. The dash also is beautiful stainless steel. Has all the CJ Leather wrapped Laredo interior as well as the correct Automatic Shift column.

Has dual Flowmaster 40s which sound awesome!

Has the larger 20 gallon plastic fuel tank so no worries of a rotten tank which is going to start leaking.

Under the dash sits the ALDL diagnostic port that the 1995 Camaro had in it and you can still plug in read codes and get all the same info. Fully functional.

Has a Aluminum Be cool radiator.

Jeep aslo has stereo with 2 6x9 MTX speakers on fender wells, 2 5" in the dash and 2 10" MTX subs in box behind the rear seat. Has a 200 Watt Clarion High end Amp and a 600 Watt Coustic Sub amp.

Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler

Fri, 07 Mar 2014

Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.

Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."

Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
