Selling 1977 Jeep CJ 5 GOLDEN EAGLE "LIMITED EDITION". NOTE ; Jeep only made the "Limited Edition" Golden Eagle
for one year 1977. They made the Golden eagle from 1977 to 1980 but only the (Limited Edition model in 1977) This
is a California and west coast desert Jeep that has a rust free body, rust free floor pans, rust free frame,
original paint and original decals all still very respectable today 39 years later.. The Jeep Golden Eagle LIMITED
EDITION only came in dark green and dark brown in 1977. The original body, most the original paint and original
decals still looked good and cleaned up nice for it's age " I did not have the heart to re paint this CJ. It's
Jeep History at it's best ". The original gold steel wheel removed many years ago. Today it's fitted with newer
style black 15 inch steel wheels fitted with 33 tall 12.5 On and Off Road tires. Jeep also fitted with Full Roll
Cage, New high back bucket seats and 4 point shoulder and lap belts for added driver and passenger safety.
Locking center console. Mild 3 inch suspension lift for better ground clearance off road. No tire fender rub!
Rancho 9,000 adjustable shocks fitted for better ride quality on or off road. Off road skid plate under
transmission. Rear end fitted with rock guard cover. New tie rods and joints. Custom front off road style bumper
with new 8,000 lb Warn power winch. ( To pull your friends out). High lift Jack if you get a flat. Custom rear
bumper with tow hitch. Swing out spare tire rack with extra Gas and Water cans mounted on rear. Large rear locking
"storage box" to keep everything safe inside. Box removes if you want to add in a rear seat for extra passengers to
ride with you. CB and Tac mounted to upper Roll Cage "looks cool" The Jeep factory Tac also works mounted in dash.
New Heater box installed in Jeep 25,000 btu will cook you out of cab if on the high setting! Bikini top and 1/2
doors will keep the hot sun and wind off of you. NOTE; Any aftermarket full top / full doors will fit on this Jeep
from 1977 to mid 80. If you want to install full top and doors at a later time. I'm a true 40 plus year Jeep guy =
NO top - No doors is what I like! The motor has 5,000 proven driven reliable miles on it. Nice running , Great
sounding, 304 V8 Motor fitted with Aluminum intake, 4 bbl carb, Headers with side exhaust, Mallory spark box, 8 mm
wires, HV Oil pump, HF water pump. 3 angle valve cut. Aluminum valve covers, K&N Air filter. The Motor runs
outstanding and sounds like a true classic V8 should = SEE VIDEO. Jeep has a manual transmission that shifts and
down shifts very nice. "Nice clutch" No axle rap or clutch chatter. Front end is Jeep Dana 30 fitted with HD
axles and Warn locking hubs. The 4 by 4 transfer case is Jeep Dana = works great. The rear end is Jeep Dana 20 HD
axles and the rear end is fitted with Jeep True lock = "POSI' track. Jeep has factory Power steering - Factory

FCA is setting a five-year strategy: Here's how the last one played out

We're slightly more than four years removed from Sergio Marchionne last five-year plan for FCA, a tell-all where the Italian-American automaker divulged its plans for the 2014 through 2018 model years. It was a grand affair, where Sergio told FCA investors that all was right in Auburn Hills, Alfa Romeo and Maserati were making comebacks, and the fifth-gen Dodge Viper received a mid-cycle refresh. You can read every last one of those past predictions right here. We're on our way to Europe to see Sergio's sequel, coming out Friday straight from FCA's Italian headquarters. (Bloomberg reports a plan to expand Jeep and Ram globally, combine Alfa Romeo and Maserati into a single division for an eventual spinoff, and downsizing Fiat and Chrysler. Also, EVs.) But before we arrive in Italy and find out exactly what Marchionne has planned for 2019 through 2023 as his last act as CEO, let's take a minute to tally up the results of his last term based on the same scoresheet we used in 2014. Now, we're only five months into 2018, so much of this — including vehicles like the Ram HD and Jeep Grand Wagoneer Â— could still debut this year. For those, we'll mark things TBD. We're not going to draw any conclusions or make any objectionable remarks. We're simply going to let the stats speak for themselves.

NHTSA closes investigation into Jeep Liberty fires

The investigation that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened into the Jeep Liberty in October 2013 has been closed. NHTSA received two (!) complaints about fires starting in the driver's door, thought to be caused by the master power window switch. The initial estimate was that 80,000 Libertys could be roped into a possible recall, but according to a report in the Detroit News the agency examined records for 425,000 Chrysler products that used the same window switch, including the Dodge Nitro and Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
After canvassing 265 warranty claims related to the master switches, NHTSA concluded that the rate of fires compared to the "large population of vehicles" was rather low, and that there was no trend pattern behind the few issues it did find. Perhaps with that, and the closure of the trailer hitch investigation, the Liberty can finally rest in peace.

Jeep team takes a field trip to Wagonmaster; researching next Grand Wagoneer?

They have the very best intentions of rolling out a seven-passenger vehicle.
Wagonmaster has made a name for itself restoring and selling factory-perfect Jeep Grand Wagoneer models, bridging the gap between when the last production machine rolled off the line in 1991 and present day. The company's efforts haven't gone unnoticed. The entire Jeep product planning team took a little field trip to the company's facility in Kerrville, Texas back in December, and they weren't just there to take in the sights. According to owner Leon Miller's son, Chip Miller, the Jeep team was there to do research for the successor to the Grand Wagoneer throne.
