Here is an awesome Jeep that is going to make the lucky winner of this auction very happy.

This Jeep comes equipped with a 304 V8 with an Edelbrock Carb. The 304 has just under 12,000 on a total rebuild. It has a 3 speed T150 transmission with Dana 20 transfer case. The Jeep has a 4:10 gear ratio. The Dana 30 front axle and AMC 20 axles are equipped with Powertrax Lock Right Lockers. The AMC 20 is also equipped with One piece Alloy USA axles.

It sits on a 2 1/2" suspension lift along with a 1/2" shackle lift. It also has 31x10.50 tires that are in good shape. I also installed new brakes (drums, shoes and hardware) front and rear.

The Jeep has its original steel tub that is in absolutely remarkable shape. The frame likewise is in incredible shape with no rust through in the normal spots. The inside of the tub has had herculiner applied

for ease of cleaning. The jeep has all new seats front and rear. The Jeep has a bikini top with half doors and roll bar pad. There is a lot of other things that have been replaced such as a new starter, the fan belt and power steering belt were replaced.

This Jeep drives straight as arrow down the highway and is excellent off road. It runs great, shifts great, and is an absolute blast to drive.

FCA plants skipping summer shutdown to keep up with demand

Hopefully, some FCA US factory employees don't have big plans for the usual summer shutdown, because the automaker is keeping several plants running this year. Demand is so high that the company wants to keep models rolling off the assembly lines. Four FCA US assembly plants, all the engine factories, and some locations that build transmissions are staying open throughout the summer, according to the Detroit Free Press. Usually, these sites would see a two-week shutdown for the company to retool and perform repairs. This year, factories are staying open for FCA to support its strong sales. The lines that remaining humming through the summer show an inclination toward the automaker's popular SUV's and crossovers. They include the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Michigan that builds the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango; Saltillo Van Assembly in Mexico that constructs the Ram ProMaster; Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio that produces the Cherokee and Wrangler; and Toluca Assembly in Mexico that makes the Dodge Journey and Fiat 500. 2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo

The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.

Watch this Jeep Willys return to its birthplace after 70 years

Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.
