It looks like a CJ 7 but the tub is a CJ 5. He wrapped the tub in 18 gaugesteel. He widened the door openings so bigger people like myself could fit inside the vehicle.I am 6' 240 and I can easily fit in and out of the vehicle without a problem. I drove this vehicle as a daily driver. This vehicle will go 80- miles an hour easily and hold a straight line. It needs NOTHING! No top or doors for this vehicle, but CJ7 top and doors do fit. It is a summer blast! The doors overlap an 1/8 of an inch. Never been on the beach. The wheel base is 72 inches wide taken from a chevy blazer completely rebuilt front and and rear axles. It has a manual 3 speed in it, and it has a custom paint job. Zoom in on posted photos to check out the gun mental metallic color. Any questions please call (516) 851-7697 and ask for Jack,. 2014 Jeep Cherokee gets official in a hurry

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Automakers work very, very hard to keep their new vehicles under wraps until they can present them in exactly the way they want it - typically choreographed under the bright lights of an auto show, or perhaps with photos or video in an idyllic location. Spy shooters and leaks, in other words, keep executives and public-relations types up at night.
This is likely to be one of the most polarizing designs to come out in 2014.
Take today, for instance, when the team over at Jalopnik got a big scoop - the first undisguised shots of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, a model whose name wasn't even officially confirmed yet. The clandestine images taken inside of a factory were blurry and didn't exactly show off the crossover's radical new contours in the same sort of flattering light that Jeep probably would've wished for its product reveal. So the Auburn Hills automaker has wisely reacted by spilling at least some of the beans on the new model, giving us these four photos and confirming the Liberty replacement's name, Cherokee.

Chrysler delays 2014 Jeep Cherokee media launch

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Chrysler is making the unusual move of delaying the first media drives of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which were slated to start next week in Seattle. And while something like this is a rare occurrence, and one that most of the Autoblog staff can't recall happening this publicly or so close to the event itself, it won't effect the actual on-sale date of the new Cherokee, which is set to hit showrooms in September.
"Over the last couple of weeks during final quality and durability testing, we have discovered the opportunity to further improve powertrain calibration," Chrysler told Automotive News. This marks the second notable delay in the Cherokee's short life, after production was delayed for roughly a month earlier this summer.
Still, we'd rather Chrysler make sure the Cherokee is ready for primetime before flying media in from around the country. It shows a willingness to get things right the first time, rather than offering media drives and then tweaking the car after the fact.

Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.
