1975 Jeep Cj5 Base Sport Utility 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
1975 Jeep CJ 5 Levis Edition This Jeep is in good condition everything works. It had an off frame restoration about three years ago. There are a couple spots where the rust is starting to pop up on the front fender. This Jeep has been Rhino Lined on the inside and the underside. New upholstery, new fuel tank, stainless steel fuel lines, new carb, new distributor, new brakes, wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines and stainless steel fasteners were installed when the restoration was done. Also has a leather head liner and lockable stereo box. The after market hard top is called a TankTop and as you can see in the picture it has suicide doors. Now you can run with the doors open and still have the door to lock it up while at the store. You can also remove the top. It has the original 304 V-8 that came out in it from the factory. I have been told the 49535 miles that show on the odometer are original miles. If this looks like a fun vehicle you guys would like to have. If you would like more pictures or info let me know. It might surprise you but you should look this up on NADA Classic cars. 1975 Jeep CJ5 with the 304 V-8 this could be your diamond in the ruff. If you would like more Pictures please contact me. Next Jeep Wrangler to keep solid axles
Mon, Feb 16 2015Jeep fans, you're not out of the woods yet, but the latest news is good: Automotive News reports that the next-generation Wrangler will stick with floating solid axles front and rear. Fiat-Chrysler wouldn't comment on the report, but the theory is that the combination of cost, capability, and ease of modification were deciding factors. We're sure the multibillion dollar aftermarket industry is also pleased. Remember, Jeep showed off the lifted Cherokee Dakar Concept at the Easter Jeep Safari last year, but the first ingredient in the recipe for jacking up its independent suspension was, "a whole new suspension." Above that there will be an aluminum body that's smaller than the current one, which Allpar says could be done with a narrower track and tighter gaps. It will sport a fixed windshield with increased rake to improve aero efficiency, and while there are rumors of a diesel-engined version that we'll finally get in the US, there's been no reliable info as of yet to back that up. Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.
