This 47' Willys Jeep is even more good looking in person than what you can see in the photos. Runs great! I purchased the Jeep from a man in Oklahoma who did the original restoration work, and then I just paid a fortune to have it finished off since I am neither a mechanic or have the skills required to do any auto restoration work. Not quite the complete frame off but very close. The Jeep is still registered in Oklahoma, although it is presently in Carlsbad, California ( San Diego) I am the legal owner with Clear Title. There is no warrenty because the repair warrenty itself is not tranferable to anyone. So sold as is. I will except, Bank wire transfer, cash, bank check. The engine, transmission has been rebuilt by previous owner. I just had the rear end rebuilt, new bearing, 4 new wheels/ paint, new seat belts, new Jerry can/ jerry can carrier, new wind shield wiper, new turn signal and hook up, new steering wheel column, new steering wheel, new horn, new oil pump, new wiring for engine, new battery, new tow rope on front bumper, new seat upholstery and foam, new rubber matt to protect the trunk section, tow package. I have 8 pages of things done to the Jeep so I cannot list them all, but new owner will receive all my receipts/ descriptions of work and parts. I welcome an inspection. Never needs a smog. Is California legal. I will be out of town between May 8 - 15 may or may not have access to a computer during this time period. Thanks, Thomas

Jeep and Alfa Romeo join the already exotic Italian police force
Mon, Dec 12 2016Police departments in Italy are blessed with some of the most iconic cop cars on the planet. Where else will you see a pale blue Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 emblazoned with "Polizia" on the road? FCA decided they couldn't let Lamborghini steal the show and have handed over the first Jeep Renegade and Alfa Romeo Giulietta to the Police Academy in Rome. FCA is also loaning two Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloces that will join the two Giulia Quadrifoglios medical cars that are already in service. The Renegade is an four-wheel drive Italian-spec model with a 2.0-liter, 120 horsepower inline four-cylinder engine that we don't get in the United States. The current Giulietta is a small-hatchback that isn't sold in America. On the other hand, the new Giulia and its 280 horsepower turbocharged inline-four and the Q4 all-wheel drive system goes on sale next month. In polizia guise, it's one of the most formidable and beautiful pursuit vehicles on the road. FCA is no stranger to police cars and supplies Dodge Charger Pursuits to fleets all across the US. Airbag fault on 1M recalled Jeeps getting second look from NHTSA [UPDATE]
Mon, 02 Jun 2014UPDATE: Here is the statement we received from Chrysler regarding NHTSA's query: "Chrysler Group LLC advised the National Highway Traffic Administration of the six reports and, in accordance with the Company's long-standing practice, is cooperating fully with the resulting investigation. Customer safety is paramount at Chrysler Group. Customers who are concerned may call 1-800-853-1403."
It appears that Jeep's repairs for nearly one million Grand Cherokees from 2002-2004 and Liberty models from 2002-2003 might not be over yet. The vehicles were first recalled in November 2012 because the front airbags could suddenly deploy without being in an accident. Now, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a recall query into them because of reports of inadvertent activation on some already corrected vehicles.
The original problem affected over 919,000 vehicles worldwide, including 744,822 in the US, and was caused by a degrading circuit in the wires that control the airbags. In some cases the airbag warning light would come on just before the premature activation, but in other cases it would just happen. The automaker installed an "in-line jumper harness with an integrated electrical filter" meant to eliminate the power spikes believed to be the cause.
