1947 Jeep Willys Cj2a on 2040-cars
Norcross, Georgia, United States
This 1947 Jeep has been in my family for 67 years. My cousin bought it new and I bought it from him on Labor Day 2013. The photos showing the black jeep with top is what it looked like when I got it. Took the top and doors off, you see the stripped black jeep. There are only 39,384 actual miles on the Jeep. Obviously the OD is what it looks like now. I have tried to keep it as much original as possible. Still a 6 volt system. Has the floor push button start. I took the windshield wipers motors off (but still have them). All the tires, are brand new 7.00 x 16; the 4 wheels on the ground are brand new. The seat frames are all original (in the black topless photo you can see the original seat covers - still have those with the springs) however I put new cushions and seat covers on this Jeep. New Paint job was done in November 2013 The tail lights were added on by my cousin, and I left them, for safety reasons when driving on the roadway. There are no seat belts installed (as original), however I purchased new OD seat belts and never installed them (however you can have them) New windshield glass and frame, new bumperettes in rear. This Jeep runs and will make a perfect parade vehicle. There is no hard or soft top with the jeep. The hard top seen on the Black photo is available for additional price (and it comes with 2 metal doors with windows) Like all CJ2A's, it likes to pop out of second gear periodically. Again, in my family for 67 years. If you have any questions. feel free to ask. Down payment of $500. will confirm your purchase, and the remainder will be paid prior to pick up in person. Retired LEO here with plenty of local banks in the area. I have a copy of the original title and registration to prove family owed.

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
Jeep brings quartet of concepts to Beijing to show its Chinese style
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Jeep is making a big play for the Chinese crossover market at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. It has a quartet styling concepts for the Renegade, Cherokee and Wrangler that are inspired by Chinese culture at the show.
Among them is the newest member of the Jeep lineup - the Renegade. Its Zi You Xia concept (pictured above) comes from the Mandarin for "rebel," and it's painted in Warm Chocolate Gray with Dark Anodized Bronze trim, including the 20-inch wheels. The roof, grille surround, and mirror caps are done in a complimentary Dark Charcoal color as an accent. The interior is a mix of dark brown leather and Anodized Copper trim. This is one swanky compact crossover.
The Cherokee Sageland and Urbane concepts are meant to show to different sides of Chinese style. With inspiration from the Shangri-La Region, the Sageland has Ivory Pearl tri-coat paint with bronze trim on the outside, and the interior is covered in Gray Nappa leather with red and blue stitching. The Urbane's look comes from the nightlife in the country's cities. The exterior is a color called Maximum Steel with Hyper Black trim. Inside, it combines Piano Black trim with dark red leather seats.
Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.
