This listing is for a beautiful 1999 Jaguar XK8 Coupe in opalescent topaz over biscuit leather and rich dark walnut. I purchased this vehicle last year and have enjoyed driving back and forth to work, never any issues and a really nice place to be. The car has been well cared for and garaged, so no fading or sun-damage. It has around 115K miles on it and is a very nice driver, but will likely change as I commute with it every day and go on frequent road trips. Everything works except for the passenger side mirror movement, it sticks. In my experience, the car has been very trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to take it cross-country. I just sold my other XK8 and still have my XJ-S V12...I just really want something Italian with a manual transmission.

As with any 14-year-old car, there are flaws here and there as well as signs of being driven, this is not a perfect car. I have made this a no-reserve auction because of cosmetic issues, it has slapped-on paint and there has been some body work to the passenger door area and the front bumper area. As can be seen on the history report, the car ran on an embankment and got stuck in the mud, and the police were called for a car off the road. (that's why it says state agency reported, insurance was never called) The cosmetic damage was to the front bumper cover area and the passenger-side door area. Because I know someone will ask, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the frame, it was only light body damage. In any case, the car is very presentable, needs absolutely nothing for a great driver, and I have driven it with no issues ever since. It has a clear title. I have been very pleased with it and for commuting purposes, XK8's are very hard to beat! There is no rust or corrosion and the interior is just lovely.

I have done a few things recently to make it a trusty driver, such as new: fuel pump and filter (very big job on these cars), new Hankook tires, battery, alignment, fluids, engine mounts, and full transmission service. It is also fully equipped with an installed XM radio setup if desired. (regular radio works too!)

To drive it is to be admired, and the coupe has gorgeous lines. The car comes with all books, a spare door key, a driver's key, and power-lock key fob. On the whole, this is a car for someone who needs an excellent trustworthy commuter car that is upscale and very nice, but does not want a show car.

Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type

Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.
In the video, the XKE sits in front of two heavily modded XK120s and another '63 XKE, but Leno said all he's done - and all he plans to do - is clean it up and put on a modern set of wire wheels for safety.
He's not on any junket and there are no guests, it's just a guy talking about an object dear to his heart. If you need a refresher on the excellent genes of the new F-Type, check out the video below.

Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]

Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.

Jaguar producing short film starring Damian Lewis from Homeland [w/video]

Jaguar is working up a short film to coincide with the US debut of the company's new F-Type. Desire will feature actor Damian Lewis in the lead role opposite Jordi Molla as the main villain in the story. The whole of the action will take place against the picturesque backdrop of the Chilean desert with filming starting early next month. According to Jaguar, the story will follow Lewis as he plays Clark, a man who delivers cars for living. Things get exciting when he crosses paths with a young woman played by Shannyn Sossamon.
With music by Lana Del Rey and some serious production value, Desire sounds keen to take its place among great automotive advertising short films like the BMW Driver series. Jaguar has released a quick teaser, which you can check out by heading over to the F-Type site. You may also take a peek at the full press release below for more information. Expect to see the film debut early next year.
