2007 Jaguar Xk Base Convertible 2-door 4.2l No Reserve on 2040-cars

Year:2007 Mileage:69692 Color: of car is in very decent shape
Location:

United States

United States

No Reserve Auction. Salvage Title Convertible. Needs work. Prior accident and/or damage unknown.

I got a local mechanic to get it to start with a jump and doing something else but not stay running and won't start by just a normal turn of a key.  Exterior of car is in very decent shape. Missing some parts for front driving lights. Misc. unknown electrical / sensor issues. I don't have a mechanic here in South Texas that's good for a Jag. My loss is your gain.

I paid $15,500 at auction for it but I'm willing to take a major loss as I don't have the time/expertise to make this car right. This car is being sold AS IS WHERE IS. You are buying a car with known problems and a salvage title. The car does roll/steer/etc. Parts are worth my asking price. Underhood some misc. parts seem to be missing but I honestly just don't know. Inspect prior if questions/email but I'm no mechanic. NON supercharged. Interior is in near perfect condition excepting these back panels by the small rear windows panels need recover.  Tires are at 70% tread.

NADA book rough is $20k. Retail is $28k. Kelly Blue Book is even higher. Someone can have a killer car if they have a Jag expert or are one themselves or make some money. Please - don't email/call with questions like "so it just needs a battery?" This doesn't need a minor repair. This needs an expert to figure things out.

This is a No Reserve Auction - this vehicle WILL SELL.

Jaguar I-Pace named World Car of the Year

Wed, Apr 17 2019

NEW YORK — The Jaguar I-Pace has been named World Car of the Year, an award meant to honor the most significant new car introduction and conferred by an international jury of automotive journalist judges. The group announced the winners of additional awards at the New York Auto Show, with the Audi A7 named World Luxury Car of the Year, the McLaren 720S recognized as World Performance Car of the Year, and the Suzuki Jimny named World Urban Car. The I-Pace additionally took home two other awards: World Car Design of the Year and World Green Car of the Year. The WCOTY team of 86 jurors hail from 24 countries, and the organization is independent and not tied to any publication. This is the 15th year for the awards. For this year's World Car of the Year award the top three finalists were the I-Pace, the Audi E-Tron, and the Volvo S60/V60. Previous WCOTY winners were the Volvo XC60 in 2018 and the Jaguar F-Pace in 2017. View 74 Photos

First Ride: 2014 Jaguar F-Type [w/video]

Shotgun In Coventry's First Sports Car In Decades
For every car, there is a passionate group of fans who love it, and the F-Type already has a few million rabid followers. These are fabulous things, sports cars, and we're very happy that Jaguar is making one again. Finally. (Before you start relishing the prospect of correcting us, the XK is really a grand tourer, not a sports car.)
The main question, however, will be whether someone in a position to buy a lifestyle-enhancing yet impractical F-Type will do so in the face of more established competitors from Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW. The last time Jaguar built a true two-seater sports car (1974 E-Type; the last of the XJ220 limited run in 1994 doesn't count in this league), most of today's new buyers were too young or may not yet have been born. At any rate, the F-Type has a lot of work to do for the brand beyond just selling itself.

Jaguar F-Type gets even more British with Design Edition

Wed, Jan 6 2016

Short of maybe driving a Morgan while wearing tweed and smoking a pipe, automobiles don't come much more quintessentially British than a Jaguar. But now the F-Type is going to be even more so with the launch of the new British Design Edition. It's based on the six-cylinder F-Type S, but upgrades with a series of special touches to set it apart. Red, white, and blue are the dominant colors from which buyers will be able to choose both the exterior color and that of the interior contrast stitching. The leather interior comes in black, and those less patriotically inclined can spec the outside to match. The British Design Edition also features 20-inch wheels in dark gray satin finish, packing upgraded brakes with red calipers. The Design package comes standard with upgraded aero, as does the 12-speaker Meridian sound system. And naturally there are special insignia inside and out. Buyers will be able to choose between coupe or convertible and rear- or all-wheel drive, but either way motivation comes in the form of JLR's 3.0-liter supercharged V6, driving 380 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Only 300 units will be coming to the United States, with prices starting at $92,100 (plus a $995 destination charge) – representing a substantial $14.8k premium over the $77,300 price of entry for an F-Type S Coupe. Spec one out with similar options and you'd be looking at $86,250, which makes the privilege (and resale value) of acquiring the limited edition a $5,850 proposition. Any way you cut it, though, the elbow patches cost extra.
