2003 Jaguar XK8 Convertible
British Racing Green with Saddle Interior 2 Owner Clean Car Fax Fully loaded Heated front seats Everything works Always garaged Brand new tires with less than 500 miles 2003 Jaguar XK8 4.2 liter with six speed automatic transmission. I purchased this car from a Mercedes Dealership and I am the second owner. I only drove this car on weekends during the Spring, Summer and Fall storing it during the winter months. The car is in great shape in and out with only some minor fading on the convertible top in two small areas. The top itself is in great shape. The interior has no rips, tears or cracks. The real wood dash is in great shape and all accessories work as they should. The leather seats are in great shape with the leather being soft a subtle. (My Wife says its the most comfortable car she has ever driven in) The car sits on four Nexen Summer performance tires installed this past spring. There are only a few very very minor scuffs on the edges of some of the rims but nothing that you would not expect from a used car and you really have to look for these very minor flaws. The car runs great, shifts smooth with no issues. The car has the factory windscreen which is a very nice option. This is a beautiful car. If you are in the market for a Jaguar XK8 I will tell you some things that you should know. The first generation of these cars up to model year 2002 were equipped with the 4.0 liter engine. This engine had some inherent internal engine flaws that needed attention. The timing chain guides were made from plastic and prone to premature failure resulting in blown engines. The repair was to change these guides with metal but this job is not covered by Jaguar and unless you are an experienced mechanic is very expensive. The thermostat was also made from plastic and again its an expensive fix and can be catastrophic if not done prior to failure. In 2003 Jaguar replaced the 4.0 liter engine with the 4.2 liter and matted it with a better preforming six speed transmission. The 4.2 has none of the issues that the 4.0 had and this is what led me to purchase this 2003 model year. I encourage all interested parties to come and see the car. The car is being sold AS IS with no warranties. The reserve has been set at a very reasonable price which was based on what recent listings have been bid up to regardless if these listings resulted in a sale. Car is for sale locally I reserve the right to end the auction anytime for any reason. Thanks for looking. |

Jaguar's first-ever Super Bowl ad to feature F-Type Coupe
Sun, 10 Nov 2013Patrons of this year's Los Angeles Auto Show will be able to get their first glimpse at the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe, but the new hardtop sports car will be shown off to an even greater audience in early February. No, we aren't talking about the Chicago Auto Show - we're referring to the Super Bowl. Jaguar will debut its first-ever Super Bowl ad during the second half of the big game on February 2, 2014, and the sleek new F-Type Coupe will be the star.
According to Jaguar, the ad campaign will pose the question, "Have you ever noticed how in Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?" And for all you social media mavens out there, Jaguar will launch a specific hashtag to go with this marketing: #GoodToBeBad.
British director Tom Hooper is responsible for the ad, which is being filmed in London. Americans will get their first glimpse at the campaign this weekend in the first spot, called Disruptor, but the big F-Type Coupe spot will not air until Super Bowl XLVIII in February.
2016 Jaguar XE is ready to stalk the competition
Mon, 08 Sep 2014
The XE wears some of the best styling elements from Jaguar's current litter.
Big sedans and sports cars. Jaguar has been known for those two things since the company's name was birthed in 1945. Stylish saloons like the Mark 2 and performance machines like the E-Type make up the brand's heritage, but the compact sedan market is one where the British marque has lacked great product.
2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 Supercharged
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Generally speaking, I don't get too upset about the growing need to replace displacement in modern cars. Sure, there are exceptions (don't you touch my 6.2-liter AMG V8), but honestly, the industry's new forced induction powertrains are all lovely, and their gains in fuel economy - when they actually make good on them - can make up for the ever-so-slight losses in performance or driving character.
But I'm having a hard time keeping my chin up with this Jaguar XF. For the 2013 model year, Jaguar has killed off the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 and fitted a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic in its place (and even offers a turbocharged four-cylinder engine below that). That all sounds perfectly well and good, but a week behind the wheel of this British Racing Green sedan just left me missing that V8. And then some.
