Description and Other Information | Never damaged, never wrecked, never abused. Low miles! What are you waiting for? I’m the third owner. The second owner bought the car on December 17, 2002 with 3,947 miles and kept it until his death in June, 2013. I purchased the car from his widow. I’m not a dealer, but I am a car enthusiast! This is my personal vehicle. I’m owner of this vehicle with title in hand. I’ve owned it about 6 months. It had 36,900 miles on it & now has 37,650 miles. I’ve been an E-Bayer since 1996 and am a conscientious, honest and diligent buyer and seller. This 2001 Jaguar XK8 is simply a marvelous vehicle. I’m always hesitant when I see vehicles listed on E-Bay with little or no information, leaving you to make a decision based on limited or no history or maintenance information and only a few photos. It’s almost like they’re trying to hide the bad stuff by not saying anything about their car. I’m proud of this vehicle and will tell you everything about it, good and bad! Fortunately for you, there’s not much bad. So, let’s get the bad out of the way. Front passenger seat motor doesn’t work. I took this seat motor off of the passenger side and put it on the drivers side because it wasn’t working. I doubt that you’ll care about fixing it as my mechanic put it in a comfortable position. But, if you want to do so, used seat motors can be bought for about $100 with $100 installation. Headrests - I’m told that the headrests are supposed to operate electronically. They don’t. Small Ding - There is a small ding in one of the wheel wells. It looks like someone hit the wheel well with a door. I took the car to a paintless dent removal company and they did a great job at reducing this. You can miss it pretty easily, but again, 100% transparency and honesty. Tires – Will need replacement in about 6,000 to 8,000 miles. Wheel Rashes – 2 of the wheels have small curb rashes. Not bad at all, but they are there! See the photos. CD Player doesn’t work. The head shows it’s trying to find a CD, but won’t. $75 on E-Bay and easy self installation. I have taken immaculate care of this vehicle and had all 4 brake pads replaced. I always wonder why people are selling their vehicles. When I bought this great vehicle in July, 2013, my thought was that I would keep it for 5-10 years. However, I only drove the vehicle about 800 miles all summer. So, while I thought I would drive and enjoy it, I just have not done so. The car deserves to be owned by someone that will drive and enjoy this fabulous vehicle. The big V-8 purrs and gets right with it when you want to! All books and manuals come with this car. Every original piece of documentation comes with the car. This car has great power, lots of room for two, almost no room for four, and a short turning radius. The interior is in great condition with just the normal wear and patina on the console area & front seat. Paint – The paint is in fabulous condition. The vehicle has never been wrecked, damaged or had paint work. The original owner was a physician in his late 50’s and I am 62 years old. This is the most fun car I’ve owned in years and has never been abused. The interior is in excellent with normal wear for a 13 year old car with 37,600 miles. There are no tears in the leather seats and the he door panels are perfect. It is my second car and is driven ONLY on weekends to the golf course or to go out to dinner. This is one great automobile that is ready to be driven & enjoyed for years and years to come. Buyer to send $500 via PayPal within 48 hours. This will hold the vehicle for 10 days, whereupon the balance of purchasing price shall be paid. You are responsible for picking up the car. If this vehicle isn’t everything I’ve said, I’ll refund your deposit. But it is everything and more!

This is a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Coupe. Enzo Ferrari, Il Commendatore himself, called it "the most beautiful car ever made." It can count among its owners Steve McQueen, Brigitte Bardot and a number of other celebrities from the 1960s. It remains one of the prettiest and coolest cars ever. While we don't normally prescribe to modifying classics like the E-Type, cars that are used for vintage racing, like this particular example, are certainly the exception. It's owned by Jason Len and is the subject of the latest video from the team at Petrolicious. Len's 1964 E-Type has been fashioned to look like one of the rare Lightweight E-Types from 1963 and 1964. The aluminum-bodied E-Types, of which only a dozen were built, were all intended exclusively for racing, much like Len's heavily modified example. While it retains the 3.8-liter straight-six, its engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and body have been extensively tweaked and fettled to allow this classic Jag to compete with a field of V8s.

There is principal among the persecuted to embrace insults and turn them around. That's how the gay community turned "queer" from a pejorative term into a badge of pride. Now Jaguar has done the same with "footballer's car." While this has been generally seen as the UK equivalent of a "rapper's car," generally a big four-wheel-drive such as a Range Rover, blinged up so as to make it unusable off-road, Jaguar has taken the curious step of deliberately putting a footballer in the new F-Pace. Before you can even buy a Jaguar F-Pace, the company has taken ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho to Northern Sweden to drive a prototype on ice. And there is not an ounce of bling about the event. It was run on 60 km (37 miles) of frozen lake at Jaguar Land Rover's extreme testing facility in Arjeplog, Sweden, which is 40 miles from the Arctic Circle. And it's not just JLR engineers who get to do this. Jaguar sells the "Jaguar Ice Drive Experience," while Porsche has something similar and if you really want to go for it there is a company that does it in Porsches, Maseratis, and the wonderful Alfa 4C. But those are not footballers' cars. Jag quotes Mourinho as saying, "The experience was magnificent. For people in my world, I think a few days in a place like this is magnificent." However even if you read it in a Spanish accent it still sounds like it was written by a PR man. Ditto the quote "I am always learning. Even in football, which is an area that obviously I feel that I'm an expert, I'm never perfect and I always learn." What Jaguar gets out of the association is some quotes about Mourinho's plans – he's going to stay in the UK – which means the major UK papers might pick it up. They probably will and then ignore all the cool ice driving stuff. What we get as car nuts is some awesome footage of the car power-sliding with rooster tails of snow. It's a good looking car; I've seen some testing on the roads around Jaguar's home of Coventry and did a double take. It's a little Macan-like but better looking. I've driven the F-Type with both the 375-HP V6 used in the Mourinho F-Pace piece and the 550-hp supercharged V8, and the V6 is plenty. Until you drive the V8, which blows your mind way. Indeed I have the letter on my desk pleading guilty to the fixed penalty (62 in a 50) that I picked up in the F-Type. What you can't tell from the video is how good the V6 sounds. How it does a nice little wake-the-neighbours blip when you switch it on.

In addition to the XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S GT models Jaguar is bringing to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, the manufacturer announced that the F-Type-based, D-Type-inspired Project 7 design study will make its "dynamic" debut at the festival, with driving duties assigned to Mike Cross, Jaguar's chief engineer of vehicle integrity. Here's the cool part: With Jaguar's Director of Design, Ian Callum, leading the team responsible for Project 7, it went from the drawing board to track testing in only four months, Jaguar states, with a claimed 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 186 miles per hour. Project 7, which was named in honor of Jaguar's seven wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be making runs up the hill at Goodwood over all three days of the festival, which starts at the Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, this Friday. Far from a fragile concept car, Jaguar says, the single-seat Project 7 is a fully functional sports car. It uses the all-aluminum chassis and body of the F-Type, retains that car's 550-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and eight-speed automatic transmission but features lots of bespoke carbon fiber aerodynamic bits, some of which were inspired by the Le Mans-winning D-Type of the 1950s. The most obvious nod to that classic is the rear fairing with integrated rollover hoop - the F-Type's convertible top is gone. The windshield was also lowered, giving the roadster a more rakish silhouette as it sits on 20-inch forged-alloy wheels with carbon fiber inserts.
