Here we have offered a beautiful 1954 Jaguar XK 120 SE ready for show or just to drive.  It has been in our collection for the past 20 years and has been restored for the past 12 years.  The car still shows as nice as the day it rolled out of our shop.  The car is a very classy driver and will turn heads at every show you go to.  It recently did an add in two magazines which you can see in the pictures section.   It is a very rare Southern California car ready for a new home.
I will break the car down to its parts to make it easier and to show all the work that has been done to this stunning Jaguar.

Paint and Body:  When we started to restore this car it came to use from dry storage out of Palmdale, CA.  It was complete but needed alot of attention.  We have a picture book of when it arrived all the way through paint to show the metal work and paint process we went through.  The book will be included with the sale.  The car was completely striped down the bare metal.  The only damage that needed repair was the drivers side front fender which was pounded out and metal finished before primer was applied.  The whole car was sprayed a gloss coat of black and block sanded down to make sure it was smooth as silk.  The two stage Urethane red metallic was then applied and cut and buffed to a glossy shine.  Over the years it was gotten a few bumps and nicks on edges but nothing even minor or that hasnt been brush touched.  At the time of restoration all the chrome was replated.  and original hardware was restored and replaced.

Interior:  The interior in this car is a thing of beauty! It received a full english tan leather interior that one concours judge quoted as just flawless.  The bently wool carpet to match was run over the floor and continues into the trunk area.  The dash was wrapped in the same leather with all the gauges being restored and fully functional.  The car also had a complete new wiring harness installed along with new cables as well.  The steering wheel was repainted a gloss black and new turn signal assembly.  There is a fully restored top that does come with the car but we have never had it installed.  It was fitted and trimmed before the car was painted.  I do not have the side curtins but they are  available from Jag parts people.  The lights all Work as do the turn signals.  The horn does not work but everything is there and the same goes for the windshield wipers.

Engine and drivetrain:  The Engine is a later XKE 3.8 Litter inline 6 engine that was completely rebuilt and installed with the 3.4 correct intake, carbs and exhaust manifold.  It is better motor for the car but is it not correct.  We do have the numbers matching motor but it would need a full overhaul and that is something I can work out with the new owner.  The motor runs perfectly and idles like a dream.  It curently has 86 miles on it since being restored .  The car does have Stainless dual exhaust that sings down the road.  The Original numbers matching Moss 4 speed transmission and rear end were both left in the car and had their fluids changed.

Wheels and Tires: Being a SE (special edition) car it was a factory item to have wire wheels.  We opted to have the chrome wire wheels with chrome knock offs to set this car apart.  They are wrapped up in new Bias ply tires that actually hold this car to the road very well.  The brakes were also completely gone through and because of that it now stops on a dime!

Any extras:  The car does have some small flaws but in no way detracts from the over all beauty of it.  When your behind the wheel of this Jaguar all your problems will disappear and you will have a huge smile on your face.  I always tell people when you are on the freeway and hit 4th gear and hear the note of the exhaust and the wind blowing over the wind screen.... it takes you to another place.

Im very impressed with this car.  It shows well.  It drives even better.  I truely hate to part with it but the time has come where you have to let a new owner enjoy it as much as you have.  If you have any questions feel free to email me.  I can also send you my contact number.  I welcome anyone to come inspect the car also before auctions end.  I do have it listed locally so the auction could come to an end before.

Jaguar Land Rover may buy Silverstone racetrack for new HQ

Thu, Dec 3 2015

Jaguar Land Rover might add another chapter to its venerable motorsports legacy by purchasing the revered UK racetrack Silverstone to use as its new company headquarters. JLR could reportedly offer 22.7 million pounds ($34.1 million at current rates) to buy the circuit, according to Automotive News Europe, which cites several British media sources. The British automaker would then invest the equivalent of $78 million to turn the historic track into a celebration of the brand, including a museum, experience center, and hotel. The company would also construct space for its marketing team and engineers, Automotive News Europe reports. Motorsports would still continue there, too, which means the course's Formula One legacy is safe. Neither JLR nor the British Racing Drivers' Club, which leases the track, have confirmed the rumors. The BRDC only suggested that it received several confidential offers to purchase the circuit. Silverstone has a motorsports history that goes back to the late 1940s and is often the home to the Formula One British Grand Prix. The track's organizers have a long-term deal to continue hosting the F1 race, too. Today, the course also features major events from MotoGP and the FIA World Endurance Championship. In November, Jaguar released a video that celebrated some of its legacy at Silverstone by bringing the modern XJR and Le Mans-winning XJ-R9 LM at the track. If the company's purchase happens, you can expect to see a lot more Jags and probably some Land Rovers lapping the course. Related Video:

David Brown Speedback GT marks US debut at The Quail

Sun, Aug 16 2015

The British invasion has officially deployed another expeditionary force to these American shores with the arrival of the David Brown Speedback GT. The classically styled English grand tourer debuted nearly a year and a half ago, and has been racking up orders from discerning customers in the UK and across continental Europe. As promised, it has now made its American debut at the swanky Monterey event known as The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The Speedback GT is a coachbuilt grand touring coupe made by British startup David Brown Automotive. It's based on a Jaguar XKR, but reskinned inside and out to give it the look and feel of a classic Aston Martin – little wonder given the name it shares with the former Aston chief whose initials still adorn the DB model line. Underneath the retro bodywork lies Jaguar's celebrated 5.0-titer supercharged V8, giving the Speedback thoroughly modern levels of muscle with 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. The resulting 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds and top speed of 155 miles per hour are suitably quick – not quite time-warping, but the performance is certainly nowhere near as old-school as the design would lead you to believe. Call it the best of both worlds, then, if you dig the styling. But don't expect everyone to be jumping on this particular gentlemanly bandwagon. At nearly half a million pounds sterling – over $750k at current exchange rates – it's sure to keep out the riffraff of which "the rest of us" are most certainly part. 'New' continuation Jaguar XKSS to debut in November in LA

Wed, Jul 6 2016

Jaguar announced on Tuesday two important debuts for Jaguar Classic's continuation models, the Lightweight Jaguar E-Type and the new XKSS. In November, the Jaguar XKSS continuation model will make its debut in California to coincide with this year's LA Auto Show. The company revealed the plan to build nine of these cars a few months ago in order to complete the original production run. That run began in 1957 when Jaguar began building road legal versions of unsold D-Type race cars. However, production stopped short when a fire at the Browns Lane factory destroyed the remaining cars. Jaguar explained that the company will use what they learned from developing the Lightweight E-Type continuation series, and Jaguar Classic employees will build these XKSS models to the original specifications. If you had your heart set on ordering one to fulfill your Steve McQueen fantasy, you're out of luck. All nine have already been sold. View 46 Photos In addition to the XKSS public reveal, the 2015 Jaguar Lightweight E-Type will soon make its competition debut. The car in particular is chassis number 15, one of the six continuation cars, and it will compete in the Jaguar Classic Challenge race on July 9 at this year's Le Mans Classic. Another automotive icon will be behind the wheel of this iconic sports car. Top Gear presenter and automotive journalist Chris Harris will pilot the E-Type at Circuit de la Sarthe alongside an array of other vintage Jaguar race cars. Like the XKSS continuation cars, the Lightweight E-Types were also built to finish their respective production run. And although these continuation cars are only a couple of years old, they are identical to the originals and are thus FIA compliant for historic racing. Related Video:
