1995 Jaguar Xjs 6 4.0l Coupe 74k Miles British Racing Green!! on 2040-cars
Chicago, Illinois, United States
My 1995 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Coupe in British Racing Green is in beautiful condition inside and out, fully sorted and up to date on ALL maintenance. 75,XXX miles. This car has had the poly bushings installed in the steering column as well as the suspension arms. Car has had the front sway bar installed, I have not had time to install the rear sway bar but the car will be sold with it as well. I also have the original wheels/tires that will also ship with the car. It is a non-smoker’s car. I have always kept the Jaguar in the garage and to my knowledge the previous owners took very good care of the car as well, I also have exclusively ONLY used Howard Orloff Jaguar to service the car while I've owned it . Only 364 of these 1995 6 cylinder 4.0 Liter coupes were imported, and I can guarantee you that there are only a handful still around that look this good. The paint is original, HOWEVER, there has been paintwork done to the car prior to my ownership. I'm guessing for repair to scratches, dings and rock chips that come with a 19yr old car. This car comes with A CLEAN CARFAX, no accidents and true mileage. The car comes with all the standard factory features, and everything works, all switches, original radio, windows, sport mode switches, A/C blows cold and the heat is great. Interior is in really nice condition, I even put in a brand new headliner. Drivers seat has the usual wear in the leather on the lower bout. I have all the manuals, and a ton of previous records on the car, all of the documentation will be shipped with the car. Tires are only a couple months old, wheels are from a 98/99 XJR that I had. Im a Jaguar guy, have been diving XJ8/XJRs as my daily driver for as long as I can remember. But I live downtown Chicago, and I only have so much room, so I don't need a coupe just sitting in the garage of my condo building. My loss, your gain. Any questions or additional pics, call (312-203-4600) or message me on Ebay. Vehicle Pickup: It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange for the pick-up and transport of this vehicle at buyer’s expense. |

2014 Jaguar XFR-S is the power and the fury
Thu, 29 Nov 2012If there's something wrong about a sedan with a 550-horsepower supercharged V8, we don't want to hear about it. Instead, we want to marvel at the car in person, which is fortuitous because Jaguar has officially unveiled the 2014 XFR-S at the 2012 LA Auto Show. That blown 5.0-liter V8 dishes up a full 502 pound-feet of torque, which is good enough to shuttle the four-door to 60 mph in a scant 4.4 seconds. And, thanks to a start stop system and a few other fuel-saving tricks, the 2014 XFR-S gets away without being hit by the gas guzzler tax.
That's all good news, but we're just as excited about the fact that engineers managed to crank up the vehicle's chassis stiffness by a ludicrous 30 percent. Stiffer dampers and springs also give the car a little more poise, and a wide-open exhaust lets the whole world know you're kicking down their door. You know, in case the electric blue paint and wild body work didn't tip your hand. Check out the full gallery above for a closer look.
Is the Jaguar XFR-S really worth $17k more than the XFR? [w/poll]
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Adding performance to a car is rarely cheap - whether you're looking to do it yourself or rely on the factory to do it for you. In the case of the new Jaguar XFR-S, the cost differential over an already-impressive (and somewhat expensive) XFR is a stout $16,800. Auto Express recently got a hold of both cars to see whether that price pays off on the track.
For that price, Jaguar gives the XFR-S an extra 40 horsepower and 41 pound-feet of torque - for a total of 550 hp and 502 lb-ft - to go with a stiffer suspension, beefed-up differential and, of course, meaner styling. We don't want to ruin the results of the AE video, but right off the bat, the host says that you can feel the extra power of the XFR-S, but that it's not a "night-and-day difference."
Scroll down to see what happens when two high-powered Jags go head-to-head on a track. And then be sure to let us know whether or not you think the added money is worth it for the XFR-S in the completely informal poll below.
Evil Brits star in Jaguar's first-ever Super Bowl commercial
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Chrysler's Imported from Detroit commercial from Super Bowl XLV is one of the most powerful car commercials in recent memory, and Jaguar is taking a similar approach - albeit with a more villainous spin - for its first-ever Super Bowl spot titled Rendezvous. While Chrysler and Eminem focused on hometown cheerleading, Jaguar is using its $8 million (the going rate for a 60-second commercial in this year's game) to play up the Hollywood tradition of typecasting a Brit as the bad guy.
In the spot highlighting the all-new F-Type Coupe, Jaguar looked to director Tom Hooper (the man behind movies like The King's Speech and 2012's Les Misérables), who filmed on location in London with British bad guy actors Mark Strong, Ben Kingsley and Tom Hiddleston. As the commercial implies, Brits make perfect bad guys with their style, sound and power, which are all traits evident in the F-Type.
The commercial will air in the fourth quarter of this Sunday's game, but you can watch it now in the video posted below. Jaguar has also included a press release as well as a second behind-the-scenes video showing how the ad was made.
