1995 Jaguar Xjs 6 4.0l Coupe 74k Miles British Racing Green!! on 2040-cars
Chicago, Illinois, United States
My 1995 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Coupe in British Racing Green is in beautiful condition inside and out, fully sorted and up to date on ALL maintenance. 75,XXX miles. This car has had the poly bushings installed in the steering column as well as the suspension arms. Car has had the front sway bar installed, I have not had time to install the rear sway bar but the car will be sold with it as well. I also have the original wheels/tires that will also ship with the car. It is a non-smoker’s car. I have always kept the Jaguar in the garage and to my knowledge the previous owners took very good care of the car as well, I also have exclusively ONLY used Howard Orloff Jaguar to service the car while I've owned it . Only 364 of these 1995 6 cylinder 4.0 Liter coupes were imported, and I can guarantee you that there are only a handful still around that look this good. The paint is original, HOWEVER, there has been paintwork done to the car prior to my ownership. I'm guessing for repair to scratches, dings and rock chips that come with a 19yr old car. This car comes with A CLEAN CARFAX, no accidents and true mileage. The car comes with all the standard factory features, and everything works, all switches, original radio, windows, sport mode switches, A/C blows cold and the heat is great. Interior is in really nice condition, I even put in a brand new headliner. Drivers seat has the usual wear in the leather on the lower bout. I have all the manuals, and a ton of previous records on the car, all of the documentation will be shipped with the car. Tires are only a couple months old, wheels are from a 98/99 XJR that I had. Im a Jaguar guy, have been diving XJ8/XJRs as my daily driver for as long as I can remember. But I live downtown Chicago, and I only have so much room, so I don't need a coupe just sitting in the garage of my condo building. My loss, your gain. Any questions or additional pics, call (312-203-4600) or message me on Ebay. Jaguar gives us our best look yet at the XF Sportbrake wagon
Wed, May 17 2017Not quite a month after the first official teaser, Jaguar has provided a much clearer look at the new XF Sportbrake. Instead of the overhead shot, we get to see front and sides almost completely unobscured. Almost. The official reveal isn't until June 14, so the car is still covered in camouflage. Since Jaguar will be the vehicle supplier for Wimbledon, and Andy Murray will reveal the car, Jaguar fitted a tennis-ball vinyl wrap. Despite the vinyl wrap, we can still get a pretty clear look at the car. Unsurprisingly, from the B-pillar forward, the XF Sportbrake is identical to its sedan counterpart. From the rear-door back, the roof is obviously extended, and the rear window's rounded corners lead us to believe the previous model's blacked-out D-Pillar has been ditched. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Jaguar also released a video about driving the XF to a remote Scottish tennis court. We don't particularly care about that, but the video does provide some brief glimpses of the Sportbrake's backside. From the looks of it, the taillights are the same between the sedan and the wagon. The rear bumper and exhaust treatment look very similar, too. As previously mentioned, the Sportbrake will be completely revealed on June 14, and the car will be available later this year – and in the US, as a Jaguar representative confirmed to Autoblog. So if you've been eying an F-Pace, maybe wait just a little longer to try out an XF wagon. Related Video:
UK car output falls 14% in March, may get worse with no-deal Brexit
Tue, Apr 30 2019LONDON — British car output fell for the 10th month in a row in March, hit by a slowdown in key foreign markets, and the sector stands to suffer a lot more if the country leaves the European Union without a deal, an industry body said on Tuesday. Output tumbled by an annual 14.4 percent to 126,195 cars in March, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said. Exports, which account for nearly four out of every five cars made in Britain, were down by 13.4 percent. The SMMT said analysis it had commissioned predicted output would fall this year to 1.36 million units from 1.52 million in 2018, assuming London can secure a transition deal with the EU. If Britain has to rely instead on World Trade Organization rules for its trade with the bloc, which include import tariffs, output is forecast to fall by around 30 percent to 1.07 million units in 2021, returning to mid-1980s levels, the SMMT said. The forecasts were produced for SMMT by AutoAnalysis, a consultancy. Prime Minister Theresa May has secured a delay to the Brexit deadline until Oct. 31, giving her more time to try to break an impasse in parliament over the terms of Britain's departure from the EU. Foreign minister Jeremy Hunt traveled to Japan earlier this month to try to persuade the Japanese government and Toyota, which has a big presence in Britain, that London was determined to avoid a no-deal Brexit. "Just a few years ago, industry was on track to produce 2 million cars by 2020 — a target now impossible with Britain's reputation as stable and attractive business environment undermined," SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said. "All parties must find a compromise urgently so we can set about repairing the damage and diverting energy and investment to the technological challenges that will define the future of the global industry." Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.
In the video, the XKE sits in front of two heavily modded XK120s and another '63 XKE, but Leno said all he's done - and all he plans to do - is clean it up and put on a modern set of wire wheels for safety.
He's not on any junket and there are no guests, it's just a guy talking about an object dear to his heart. If you need a refresher on the excellent genes of the new F-Type, check out the video below.
