1990 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE WITH 63,608 ACTUAL MILES.THE CAR SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN NEVADA,SO IT IS A VERY DRY RUST FREE CAR.NEVER HAD ANY PATCH PANELS OR RUST REPAIR.THE BLACK PAINT IS IN IN GOOD CONDITON WITH ONLY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS.IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED A COUPLE YEARS BACK,BUT DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAINT IN ALL THE INNER AREAS LIKE THE DOOR,TRUNK,AND HOOD JAMBS.THE CAR HAS A BEAUTIFUL SHINE WITH NO FADING.NUMBER'S MATCHING CAR WITH THE ORIGINAL LOW MILE ENGINE.ALL THE ORIGINAL SERIAL NUMBER TAGS ARE INTACT.I HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL MANUALS,MAINTENACE BOOKLET,PROMOTIONAL CASSETTE TAPE,AND EVEN THE ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER FROM 1990(COST $57,500 BRAND NEW).THE CAR STILL HAS THE UNUSED SPARE TIRE AND TOOL KIT PACKAGE.THE TAN CANVAS CONVERTIBLE TOP IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.NO RIPS ANYWHERE.IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL REAR GLASS WINDOW.THE TOP HEADLINER IN ALSO IN EXCELLENT SHAPE.THE BOOT COVER IS IN NEW CONDITION WITH THE ORIGINAL JACKET COVER.THE LEATHER INTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IN GREAT SHAPE.THE SEATS HAVE NO RIPS.NICE CONSOLE WOOD.ORIGINAL CLEAN CARPETS.VERY NICE FOR THE AGE OF THE CAR.NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN.TRUNK COMPARTMENT WAS RARELY USED.THE POWER TOP FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY.THE ORIGINAL JAGUAR CASSETTE AM/FM RADIO WORKS FINE.THE CAR HAS NEWER PIRELLI P-600 TIRES AND THE ORIGINAL JAGUAR HONEYCOMB WHEELS ARE PRETTY CLOSE TO BLEMISH FREE.THE V-12 ENGINE IS IN EXCELLENT RUNNING SHAPE.THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES DOWN THE ROAD QUITE WELL.NO OVERHEATING.MAINTAINS A PERFECT TEMPERATURE AND RESTARTS EASILY EVEN AFTER A LONG HARD DRIVE.NICE BRAKES.ALL THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS OPERATE WELL.THE A/C MAY NEED MINOR SERVICING TO BLOW ICE COLD,BUT ALL THE COMPONENTS ARE UNTAMPERED WITH.THE CAR IS A GREAT DRIVER AND VERY ROADWORTHY.THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST TIMELESS CLASSIC BODY STYLES EVER MADE. |

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.

Jaguar Land Rover and Chery investing in Chinese plant
Sat, 24 Nov 2012While the European auto market for Jaguar and Land Rover is waning, Chinese car buyers can't get enough of the British marques. To meet that demand, Tata Motors, parent company of Jag and Land Rover, is partnering with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co.
The two announced plans to invest $1.75 billion to build a new plant and create a new, China-focused brand. 2014 is the target for completion of the factory. Jaguars and Land Rovers built at the facility will be the first ever produced outside the UK according to the Associated Press. The JV will be called Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company Ltd.
The announcement comes less than a month after JLR announced it would open a design studio in China. It's not clear from the reports whether the two announcements are part of the same JV or two separate plans.
Aston and Jag from James Bond Spectre have at it
Sun, May 3 2015Daniel Craig hasn't made a bad James Bond film yet. Spectre is his next step into the iconic role that's due to hit theaters on November 6, and it doesn't look likely to ruin his streak. Still, that's a long wait for such an exciting movie. If you're willing to possibly spoil just a little for yourself, a new featurette shows part of one of the big car chases right now. From what we've seen so far, the chase through Rome in Spectre has earned a good amount of screen time. While the reason for it in the plot is a mystery, that doesn't really matter anyway. What's important is that the scene stars Bond in the Aston Martin DB10 and a villain played by Dave Bautista in the now supercharged V8-powered version of the Jaguar C-X75 racing around the Italian capital's tight streets at night. This clip gives a glimpse at some of the work necessary to get the difficult filming completed. We've seen some of that effort before, though, when footage of the preparation for one shot leaked out. Craig reportedly sustained a pretty bad bump on the head during the shooting, and an earlier rumor also suggested that Bond might get behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 at some point in the scene.
