1987 JAGUAR XJS Bought this car from a family friend that had it sitting for a few years in there garage after there father passed away. I towed it back to my house put a new battery in it and changed the oil and put some fresh gas in it, started right up and sounded awesome. Ive got alot of projects and Im selling off a few now. In no way is the car perfect or 100% road worthy but it does run and drive with out over heating or any check engine lights, trans shifts great. Great interior. Great oil pressure. It does have some spots of rust one is pictured, upper control arm mount has rust, the drivers side power window regulator needs replacing. Brakes feel spongy. Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."

Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.
