1983 Jaguar Xjs,v12, 2-door Hardtop Coupe,barn Find, Project Car,rust-free on 2040-cars
New Tazewell, Tennessee, United States
It is currently in a barn. It is a 2-door hardtop, coupe. The body is very strait and needs only minor paint work to the hood and trunk lid. It is not eaten up with rust like most. It still needs some paint work due to sitting in storage. all the glass is in good condition. It is the V12, fuel injected engine and it is a monster with power-steering, automatic tranny, shifter is on the floor. The interior is in pretty nice, usable condition.Has a sun roof and does not appear to have leaked. Most options work, to the best of my knowledge. The car does not ever appeared to have been in an accident. It has set in dry storage for many years as part of a collection . The owner passed away and all his collectable cars were later sold off at auction.I do have a good , clean, title for the car .Please look at the enclosed photos carefully. I will answer all questions about the car, that I have an answer for. I'm open to reasonable offers. email me, or call (765)413-4411, you never know.
My reserve is very modest. Please bid to own. This vehicle is for sale locally and will be removed if sold thru other outlets. I reserve the right to remove this listing for any reason. This car would make an easy fixer-uppr for the novice or die-hard auto restorer and would be be a fun car to drive. It still has that sexy Jaguar look that they seem to have lost in recent years. It can be yours for a very modest price. Give me a call, lets talk about it.But please, serious buyers only! |

Jaguar F-Type Coupe is here, will debut on stage in LA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013When Jaguar previewed its new sportscar two years ago with the C-X16 concept, it showed a coupe form. But when the car hit production as the F-Type, it rolled out in roadster form only. Not that we're complaining, but we all knew it wouldn't be long before Coventry revealed the production coupe, and that's just what it's doing at this month's LA Auto Show.
Jaguar hasn't given us much to go on yet - just a single shot of the vehicle from above and nothing in the way of technical details - but we all know the drill. The F-Type Coupe will essentially be the same as the existing roadster, only with a fixed roof - with a large glass panel, mind you, to let plenty of light in and keep the cabin from feeling markedly more claustrophobic than the open-top version.
That ought to make it a little lighter (though not much) and a little stiffer, but otherwise we can expect more or less the same specs as the convertible. We'll have to wait until the evening of November 19 to know for sure, though, so watch this space for more.
Chinese patent filing shows what could be next Royal Limo from Jaguar
Fri, 10 May 2013Someone filed a patent application in China for the Jaguar XJ limousine seen above, but no one's sure who filed it or what the car is for. One camp thinks it's a State limo for UK royals like the Bentley State Limousine, another camp thinks it's the work of aftermarket coachbuilders.
One thing's for sure: Assuming it ever gets made, anyone who buys it wants an XJ in name only; the modifications have removed almost all of the grace of the standard sedan. Estimated to be more than three feet longer than an XJ, the stretched rear doors are backed by an even more stretched rear section that, in losing the trademark XJ C-pillar (the D-pillar on this car), adds all sorts of ungainliness to its backside. What's more, the roof rises from front to rear, we can only assume to make room for people with large hats. Or the NBA player that the Chinese call "Sweet Melon."
Head over to AutoSohu for more photos from the application, if you're sure that's what you really want.
Jaguar F-Type US order guide loose online
Fri, 08 Feb 2013
An alleged US order guide for the 2014 Jaguar F-Type has made its way online courtesy of the good people at F-TypeClub.com, documenting everything from wheel color options to special equipment packages. From the looks of things, buyers will be able to choose from a total of eight wheel designs in sizes ranging from 18 inches on the base model all the way up to 20 inches. While most of those rollers are available in either silver or black finishes, the 20-inch blade-style wheels are not only forged, but come with carbon-fiber trim. Fancy.
Depending on trim, F-Type buyers will get to choose between two types of seat, including a set of performance-style 14-way power adjustable thrones, complete with seat belts in black, red or tan. Other fun tricks include available power folding side view mirrors and a 770-watt, 14-speaker Meridian sound system.
