At the time of purchase, this was a one owner car from a dealership in Florida and it's been registered in Saskatchewan for over 5 years now.
This Jaguar is in exceptional condition for its year, inside and out both
in appearance and mechanical. The engine, transmission and rear-end perform
perfectly and they have never required any repairs in the 5 1/2 years I’ve owned
it and there is no service records indicating any such repairs were done by the
previous owner. My wife drove it to Dallas TX (changing the oil prior to
returning ) and the engine oil didn’t require topping up. That is a one way trip
of 2,225 km. In fact I’ve never had to top up between oil changes ever.
Where possible, I’ve maintained the car myself (with assistance of Jaguar
savvy folks at www.jag-lovers.org ) and
have driven it for 60,000 memorable kms. Regular oil and filter changes and
general maintenance was very strictly adhered to. I really hate to part with
it, but I’ve lost winter storage for it (only drive it in summer) and I have a
1972 Jaguar XJ6 project car to work on so something has to go. It’s my hope
that it will find a good home!
Small items of concern are: very small chip in
passenger side tail light, typical wear on leather of driver seat from
getting in and out. The safety
neutral switch requires adjustment (working on it) so it only starts when placed
in neutral.
Items I can remember doing:
> front shocks in 2008
> front suspension bushings replaced 2008
> all four wheels aligned 2008 --- this was really important because
the tires were worn unevenly and needed to be replaced.
> four new tires in 2008
> all four wheels refinished to remove minor curb rash, etc.
2010
> all four oxygen sensors on exhaust system replaced new in
2010
> complete paint job 2011 > true dual exhaust from cat back 2011
> new front bumper (including lower air foil and grill) 2013
> new windshield September 6, 2013 |

Jaguar XJ facelift suggests that if it ain't broke...
Tue, Dec 16 2014Jaguar is preparing what looks to be a very modest upgrade for its long-serving XJ, now heading into its fifth year in production. The fullsize luxury sedan's changes are so limited it seems like a stretch to even refer to these changes as a proper update. New front and rear lights represent the big changes, although the XJ's front grille looks to get a tiny bit of tweaking. Beyond that, though, we can't see too much changing for Jag's flagship luxury car. That said, there could be some tweaks below the sheetmetal and within the cabin that these images don't really show. Take a look at our gallery of spy photos, at the top of the page, and let us know what you think Jag is up to with this particular XJ.
Jaguar F-Pace snapped inside and out
Tue, Apr 28 2015We've seen the Jaguar F-Pace undergoing testing before: at the Nurburgring, in the snow, and wearing a variety of different bodywork as development has progressed. But we've never seen it this close, and we've never seen it inside, until now. This latest batch of spy shots shows Coventry's new crossover out on the road undergoing warm-weather testing in what looks like Spain. It's tellingly parked in between a Jaguar XE and Range Rover Evoque, the gap between which the F-Pace is expected to bridge. It's still wearing heavy camouflage, of course, but this is our first glimpse inside the cockpit. The cabin rather similar to the one on the new XF sedan – and hardly any more upright, either, which tells us a bit about the handling character Jaguar is going after with the F-Pace. Expect to see the finished product at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming fall – the same show where it unveiled the C-X17 concept two years ago to preview its arrival. Related Video:
Jaguar to follow up with larger J-Pace crossover
Mon, Jun 1 2015Jaguar is about to launch its first foray into the crossover market (that's the C-X17 Concept you see above) with the upcoming debut of the F-Pace, but that won't be its last. According to the UK's Car magazine, plans are already underway to launch a bigger J-Pace crossover as well. Just as the F-Pace is set to serve as the high-riding counterpart to the XF sedan, so too would the J-Pace align itself with the upcoming new XJ – in a strategy not unlike what Mercedes is taking with its crossovers, aligning the GLE (nee M-Class) with the E-Class, the upcoming GLS (GL-Class) to the S-Class and so on. That would make the J-Pace a rival to the likes of the aforementioned GLS and Audi Q7. Tipped to launch in 2019, the Jaguar J-Pace is expected to borrow its aluminum underpinnings from the flagship Range Rover, but take a sportier, more dynamic approach than the top-of-the-line Landie. Expect V6 and V8 engines to be offered, alongside diesel and hybrid powertrain options. The J-Pace has reportedly won out over other proposals to expand the XJ family with coupe, convertible and wagon variants, as the crossover is expected to drive higher sales. Here's hoping those revenues could be poured back into those back-burnered projects, too. Related Video:
