If you don't know what the XJR 100 is please google 'Jaguar XJR100' and educate yourself. If you are a Jaguar aficionado and know these cars, then you will also know how rare the '100' is. These cars command a premium over the 'standard' XJR, will undoubtedly start to increase in value now and deservedly so. Just look at it!

Jaguar marked the centenary of the company's creator, Sir William Lyons, with limited editions of its XJR performance sedan. Named the XJR 100, it combines the sporting and the luxurious in the tradition that Sir William established as Jaguar's hallmark.

Just 500 examples of the XJR 100 were sold worldwide.They all sold new for at or above list. All the cars have sleek black metallic paintwork, leather interiors and luxury specifications. In addition, their performance credentials are highlighted with a series of brand new additions to Jaguar's growing range of R Performance Options, which were initially exclusive to the limited edition cars.

XJR 100 Sporty R Performance features has it sitting on exclusive to the 100, factory 19'' BBS Montreal aluminum rims. The front tires are new. The rears around 70%,

Double Red stitching also features on the leather of the center console and door trims, as well as the designs of R Performance leather-covered sports steering wheel and Momo gear knob. The grey-stained bird's-eye maple veneer on the dashboard subtly carries the Jaguar XJR 100 name on the passenger side, and the car is also equipped with unique XJR 100 tread plates front and rear.

Other standard interior features on the XJR 100 include a DVD navigation system, a premium sound audio system w?th CD changer and nine speakers, automatic climate control, power memory steering column, electro chromatic rear view mirror, trip computer and convenient audio and phone controls mounted on the steering wheel.

The XJR 100 is fitted with Jaguar's 370 bhp supercharged and intercooled 4.0-litre AJ-V8 engine, which is matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. Confidence-inspiring road holding and high-speed stability are delivered by the microprocessor-controlled adaptive damping of Jaguar's sports-oriented Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS). Like the standard XJR, the XJR 100 limited edition is equipped with cruise control, stability control, traction control, and front and side airbags.

ALL Systems are fully Operational on this car. Both Mechanically and electrically . ALL SYSTEMS! No dash lights! This Body styles build quality is known to be superior.

Performance?! Zero to 60 arrives in a little over 5 seconds and stomps effortlessly on to a speed limited 155mph. All done with a style and grace that only THIS body style can exude. This actual car feels particularly fast from experience and if I were a betting man, I would say that this one has had at the very least, the supercharger pulley upgrade! (Spools up the 'Blower' much faster and gives around 400 horsepower.)

This is one of 500 for the world market, (only 240 made it to the USA). The superb, desirable and arguably the prettiest (or most handsome!) X308 Body style, 4.0 liter V8 supercharged motor and 5 Speed drive train configuration pumping out 370 Horsepower and 381 ft. lbs. of Torque. Fabulous!

I had the pleasure of personally owning one of the other 240 US examples from 2006 to 2008 when I worked for Aston Martin Jaguar until going solo in '07. It is why my eBay member ID is and has been since '06 'JonnyXJR100'. It was the best personal car I ever owned! I absolutely loved owning it. The feel, the speed, the admiring glances! Just a pleasure! This one is the only other example I have seen 'in the flesh' during that ownership and since! (and Jaguar's are really all I sell!) So this fact alone speaks volumes of its Rarity!

Stepping Into The Lion's Den With A Big-Hearted Cat
If you're like me - and our demographics suggests you are - you've probably never seen a new Jaguar sportscar at your local showroom. I'm 36, and it hasn't happened in my lifetime... and not by a little bit. Oh, there have been a string of XK coupes and convertibles, and as of late, there have even been some genuine high-performance specials - namely the R, R-S and R-S GT models - but their basis has always been the 2+2 grand tourer shell, not a lighter and smaller footprint with more intrinsic sporting intent. The truth is that it's been a half-century since Jaguar introduced a proper new sportscar. Today, most people know the brand strictly as a purveyor of wood- and hide-lined luxury sedans.
In fact, if you're not an enthusiast with some appreciation for the marque's history, it's a bit odd to hear Jaguar executives proclaim that they are a sportscar company and always have been. By their reckoning, the 2014 F-Type seen here is in fact a return to form, a Rip Van Winkled brand pillar reanimated and reimagined to take center stage. It's a sentiment that must be particularly odd for car shoppers in developing markets like China, where Jaguar hasn't even been selling cars for very long. Yet because the original 1961 E-Type is perhaps the most gorgeous car ever to lay ply on the world's roads, we're prepared to cut them some slack.

Generally speaking, I don't get too upset about the growing need to replace displacement in modern cars. Sure, there are exceptions (don't you touch my 6.2-liter AMG V8), but honestly, the industry's new forced induction powertrains are all lovely, and their gains in fuel economy - when they actually make good on them - can make up for the ever-so-slight losses in performance or driving character.
But I'm having a hard time keeping my chin up with this Jaguar XF. For the 2013 model year, Jaguar has killed off the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 and fitted a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic in its place (and even offers a turbocharged four-cylinder engine below that). That all sounds perfectly well and good, but a week behind the wheel of this British Racing Green sedan just left me missing that V8. And then some.

The Jaguar D-Type was, for its time, a cutting-edge race car. It was also a car that could, theoretically, drive from Jaguar's Browns Lane factory to the race in France and back. This was an era in which top-tier race cars weren't all that different from their road-going counterparts. You couldn't really do the same in an Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro, now could you? The XKSS was a D-Type with the barest nod to road-going conveniences, like proper wind protection. With some unsold D-Type racers cluttering up the shop after three successive Le Mans wins, Jaguar converted 16 into XKSS spec, and had more in the works. It wasn't a comprehensive transformation, really. A windshield and a passenger door were added; a cabin partition and the striking fin behind the driver were removed. Otherwise, it wasn't much different than the all-conquering Le Mans-winners. And then tragedy struck. A fire destroyed nine of the cars, and the company never picked up where it left off after the mess was cleaned up. Hence Jaguar aficionados, and the company itself, keenly felt the absence of the "lost" cars. After the success of the continuation E-Type lightweights built by the Jaguar Classic division of Special Operations, the company will finish the run. Nine cars will be hand-crafted for a select group of customers and collectors, much as the company did for the lightweights. Jaguar expects the cars to fetch more than $1.5 million each. Considering the mystique of these "lost" cars, and the fact that Steve McQueen is heavily associated with the XKSS, they may trade hands for considerably more after the initial owners part with them.
