Hi, You are looking at my 1998 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas designer series sedan with a PERFECT CARFAX. For years I have wanted a rust/rot free Jag V/8 and have found myself with too many cars and am going to sell the car. The car lived it's life between Texas and Louisiana. The former owner in Louisiana purchased it after KATRINA and migrated to Massachusetts and sold the car to my friend the Jaguar mechanic. This car is not a Katrina car. The car has a signed Louisiana title and was never registered in Massachusetts. It still has a Louisiana inspection sticker on the window good until the end of 2012. This car is rust free and rot free. I got to meet with the prior owner and he informed be the engine was replaced by Jaguar as mentioned below and he had the transmission done while at Jaguar. Anyone with a hook in Jaguar can verify that work. The prior owner also told me when he purchased the car, the paint was faded a bit from the southern sun and he had the car repainted. The paint job and body are beautiful. It is finished in British racing Green on a perfect rust free Southern body. It has a custom VP designer leather interior, With wooden accents and rear tea&crumpet tables. The drivers seat shows little wear. This vehicle was serviced and garaged when not used. My Friend is a Jaguar mechanic and gave me a huge thumbs up to buy the car! All related issues with the XJ have been corrected. It has a replacement 80k engine with no timing chain problems. It has a updated aluminum thermostat housing with all rubbers. It has 4 new struts, brake service, cold AC. Transmission serviced. There are 4 new tires on factory Crown style alloys. The list goes on. It is a great highway cruiser getting very good mileage. The car looks like new and drives wonderfully! The headliner inside is sagging a bit in the rear but is intact and not cut or rotted. I do not want to mess with it as this should be done by a pro. This car has the Jaguar alarm system and power sliding sun roof. Everything in this car works and no stories exist. Please look beyond the miles if you want a perfect rust/rot free vehicle. My name is Marty and I can answer any question you might have.

2016 Jaguar F-Type R at Monticello | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 27 2016

This week we indulged in a bit of fun. We took one of our favorite sports cars, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type to Monticello Motor Club north of New York. Senior Editor Greg Migliore selected the 550-horsepower R variant and pushed this Jag to the limit at one of North America's prettiest tracks. He reveled in the supercharged V8's power and sound as he embraced Monticello's curves and long straightaways. Meanwhile, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski had a similar experience. Kind of. He lapped Monticello in the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and then went off-roading at a challenging course nearby. It's the best of both worlds. He gets to soak in the blown V8 – but also gets to splatter a little mud. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Jaguar Land Rover Driving Off-Road Vehicles Videos VR Original Video virtual reality 360video

Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience throws you the keys to the museum

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

As automotive journalists, we get to drive a lot of really cool, high-performance vehicles. It really is the single best thing about this job. However, our access to vehicles is generally limited to the newest offerings on the market. That means, much like the general public, we don't really get access to vintage iron.
Jaguar is trying to rectify that issue for journalist and enthusiast alike, with a new program called the Heritage Driving Experience. It allows British enthusiasts to pop into the brand's Warwickshire testing site, drop anywhere from 100 to 300 pounds ($160 to $480) and go for a spin in some of the brand's most legendary offerings. That includes the more typical classics, like the Mark 2 saloon and the E-Type sports car, but you can also pay for access to stunners like the XK150, XKSS and the race-spec D-Type. In addition to the classics, most of the tests include time in their modern successors. So an hour with the Mark II can be split with time in an XFR-S, while the E-Type is complemented by its spiritual successor, the F-Type.
Most of the events are limited to 30 or 60-minute sessions, although the brand does offer a half-day and full-day event. The former, the Jaguar Le Mans Experience, includes time in the C-Type, D-Type, XKSS and F-Type R. The full-day Grace and Pace Pack, meanwhile, gives you access to nine vehicles, covering a huge gamut. That means time in the C-, D- and E-Type, XK150, Mark II, XKR-S GT and F-Type R, among others. Not surprisingly, prices aren't listed for the half- and full-day pack. Much like Jag's finest cars, if you have to ask, you probably can't afford them.

Jaguar C-X17 Concept teased before Frankfurt

Sun, 01 Sep 2013

Just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins September 10, Jaguar is teasing the reveal of a design study to introduce its new advanced vehicle architecture. Dubbed the C-X17, the mysterious concept "illustrates the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using this architecture, which underpins the innovative future of the Jaguar brand."
While it's not entirely clear what this architecture involves or what type of vehicle the C-X17 may be, this reveal is reminiscent of Jaguar's decision to unveil the C-X16 concept, a hybrid electric sports car, in Frankfurt in 2011. From the looks of the teaser image Jaguar released (click above to enlarge), we're guessing the C-X17 will be something between a low-slung crossover and a sporty wagon. But we won't have to wait too long to find out - Jaguar is streaming the live pre-show reveal to invited guests on its Facebook page on Monday, Sept. 9.
In addition to the C-X17, Jaguar be showing off the performance-oriented XJR and XFR-S, and, of course, the F-Type convertible. Scroll down for the official press release.
