Summary: the previous owner died, and the car was left in her garage for 14 years. As a result, it has low mileage and is in good condition. This car is my daily driver during the summer. It runs and drives quite well. A favorite with friends, family, and fellow enthusiasts.

I bought it from an individual in Wethersfield, CT, just across the river. The woman who previously owned it passed away 14 years ago, and the car sat undriven in her garage until her elderly husband decided to sell it. I bought the car with a frozen odometer, showing 74,143 miles. I can't say for sure that was the actual mileage. The seller was not aware that the odometer was frozen. My theory is that it probably froze up at some point during the 14-year garaged period, but again, I can't say for sure. In any case, I would estimate that I've put between 3,000 and 4,000 miles on it since then, which is why I am listing it with 78,143 miles. I have done the following work on the car to restore it to it's origninal condition: - New exhaust (pipes, mufflers, resonators, all mounting hardware), stainless steel mufflers - New Michelin Defender 205/70R15 tires, balanced wheels - New radiator, coolant - Air Conditioning conversion to R134A (modern) coolant - New spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, distributor cap, and rotor - New cold start fuel injector, cleaned out all fuel injectors - Throttle body cleaning, idle tuning, timing adjustment - New coolant temp sensor, oxygen sensor, K&N air filter, fuel filter - New oil & filter, brake fluid, differential fluid - New front shock bushings, new right front shock absorber - New rear brake pads, headlamp bulbs, wiper blades - New BOSS Audio radio (takes iPod / mp3 input), two 10" subwoofers, 2000-Watt Pyle amp Engine is running great. The frame is very solid and mostly rust-free; it looks like it was spray-coated at some point before I bought it. The paint is in pretty good condition: no haze, but some small chips behind the tires. Chrome is nice all around, wire wheels are very eye-catching. The interior is also in good condition - wood, leather, and carpets look great. There are no stains whatsoever. This car has been washed, waxed, and vacuumed every other weekend for the entirety of my ownership. The car runs and drives great, and has the traditional "growler" engine sound and very smooth ride of a classic Jaguar. I can personally attest that this car is a great daily driver. Unfortunately I am at college and cannot bring the car with me, and so I would rather sell this car to an appreciative owner than keep it in storage while I'm gone. Comes with original radio, jack, lug wrench, and user manual. The previous owner passed all the car's documentation over to me along with the car. I have a 1-inch thick folder of work orders and receipts. There's also a picture of the car where it was garaged. I am selling the car for cash only, and I have a clean title. 2016 Jaguar F-Type ups warranty, adds standard equipment
Mon, Mar 23 2015The 2016 Jaguar F-Type is getting all-wheel-drive and an optional six-speed manual gearbox. That, of course, has been the big news surrounding the British brand's stylish two-seat coupe and cabrio since it was announced back in November. For 2016, though, Jag has done a lot more than just update the F-Type's powertrain – it's made life easier for the car's future owners. Jaguar has generously upped the complimentary service period for the 2016 F-Type, going from covering the first service only, to handing out five years or 60,000 miles of free maintenance to owners of the 2016 F-Type. That is, frankly, stupendous. That new plan is paired with an extended warranty, which has been expanded from five years or 50,000 miles to match the new complimentary service period. Coventry has also significantly added to the list of standard equipment for 2016, offering a 770-watt Meridian stereo, SiriusXM satellite radio, a SmartKey, 14-way power seats and on the hardtop models, a glass roof. Again, that's all standard equipment now. S models now get the standard dynamic mode, flat-bottomed wheel and active exhaust system. R models, as we said back in November, get all-wheel drive as standard. Most remarkable about all of this, though, is how little the new standard equipment has impacted the F-Type's price. The manual-trans Coupe matches last year's $65,000 starting price, while adding an eight-speed automatic kicks the price up $1,300. The S Coupe is slightly pricier than last year's $77,000 mid-grade model, starting at $77,300 for the manual and $78,800 for the automatic. The all-wheel-drive S Coupe starts at $84,800. The R, which as we said, enjoys standard all-wheel-drive, is getting the biggest price bump, with the Coupe model going from $99,000 to $103,600. The all-new Jaguar F-Type R Convertible starts at $106,450. Beyond that, if you want an F-Type with a canvas roof, add $3,100 to the prices shown above. So there we have it – a longer warranty, five years of free maintenance more standard equipment and a negligible increase in price. Um, why can't all model year updates be so nice? Wacky Jaguar crossover mule is a mind-blowing mashup
Tue, 03 Dec 2013As Jaguar prepares to introduce its first-ever utility vehicle, our spy shooters have captured this jacked-up XF mule out testing. While a production Jaguar crossover will surely resemble something closer to the recent C-X17 Concept, we can't help but think that the automaker could sell at least a few of these lifted, four-wheel-drive sedans.
Other than proving that Jaguar is hard at work developing this new model using a cobbled-together body, there are some details we can put together about this luxury CUV. For one it's about the same length as an XF, while the ride height is obviously taller and the tire track wider. We're not sure what the rig on top of this mule is for, but the whole car has us reminiscing about the old sedan versions of the Subaru Outback and the AMC Eagle (with a luxury spin, of course).

Tue, 19 Nov 2013Forget Tawny Kitaen. If you want to make a Jaguar XJ rock, just do what this guy did: stuff a heavily modified and turbocharged General Motors V8 under the hood, and take it to the track.
The video calls this Series 1 XJ a sleeper, but with its open exhaust and obvious turbo whistle, the once-gentlemanly sedan is anything but. The owner says that the engine is GM LQ9 V8 that has been stroked to 402 cubic inches putting out around 720 horsepower with 12 pounds of boost (in standard form, this 6.0-liter V8 was used in the second-gen Cadillac Escalade).
