1972 Jaguar Xj6 Series 1 Documented on 2040-cars
Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, United States
Its not everyday you see a documented from new Series 1 XJ6 for sale. In rare "Faded primrose" she is probably one of the nicest examples left today. For the true enthusiast this is the jag for you!
This series one came from California and found its way to the classic car collection of our local barber, who unfortunately passed away. He was meticulous about his cars as evident in this gorgeous Series 1. After his passing i purchased this XJ6 from the estate. Since then we have gone through the fuel system front to back including cleaning the fuel tanks, new fuel pumps, cleaned entire system , and professionally rebuilt the original carburetors. We serviced and flushed the cooling system, and did a complete tune up including spark plugs and wires, filters, oil change, etc... She floats down the highway as if on a cloud, as they were meant to be. She has only 93k+ original miles and documentation back to newat he dealership in 72'. The 4.2L I6 and 3sp auto are as strong as when new. Everything seems to be in great original working order except the clock, temp gauge, and front passenger window motor. The original woodgrain and leather are in remarkable shape for a car this age. The original "Faded primrose" was resprayed in the early 1990's and is absolutely stunning. She turns heads everywhere she is driven, just as I'm sure she did 40+ years ago. This Jag needs to go to a true enthusiast who will ensure here love and care through the years, thanks for checking out this listing, i will answer all questions best i can, and will hold the car up to 6 weeks after paid in full to work with shippers. Jaguar F-Pace prototype goes to work at the Nurburgring
Wed, Apr 15 2015Jaguar is hard at work again, testing its upcoming F-Pace crossover. And here's our latest look at the prototype testing at the Nurburgring. The tester spotted here appears the same as the one we recently saw undergoing cold-weather development, only this time it's wearing summer rubber on fullsize wheels instead of winter tires on smaller ones. It's also missing the old prototype's auxiliary lights, and a bit more camouflage covering the quarter panels. The fact that it was seen on the Nordschleife, however, bodes well for the F-Pace and speaks to its orientation: Jaguar's first crossover promises to be geared towards performance, a sort of on-road counterpart to the off-road prowess of the SUVs offered by its sister brand Land Rover. We're looking forward to seeing the finished product at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall, but in the meantime you can scope out the spy shots in the slideshow above.
Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee season 2 opens with Sarah Silverman and Jag E-Type
Sat, 15 Jun 2013Season Two of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicked this week in style. How much more style is there to be had than in a 1969 Jaguar XKE, after all? This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration. Scroll down to watch Seinfeld and Silverman exchange banter with the Jag's beauty as a happy backdrop.
Jaguar F-Type Coupe patent images exposed, 4-cyl coming?
Fri, 03 May 2013Last year, Jaguar told us that "if you get a convertible right, it's easy to do a coupe" in reference to a coupe version of the Jaguar F-Type, and now we might be seeing our first unofficial look at a hardtop version of the convertible. The German publication Auto Motor und Sport has dug up what it is reporting to be patent images filed by Jaguar showing the lines of the new coupe.
If these are actually patent drawings, they have definitely been enhanced with color and shadowing compared to what we usually see from OEM patent filings. We wouldn't be surprised if they are just altered images of Jaguar's C-X16 Concept, but either way, it's going to be a sharp car. On top of the new coupe, the article also says that the F-Type could be getting the same 240-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is currently used in the Jaguar XF, as well as the Land Rover LR2 and Range Rover Evoque.
