Jaguar F-Pace SVR to debut this week at New York Auto Show

It should come as no surprise that the folks back in England have been working on a hot new version of the Jaguar F-Pace. Today, just ahead of the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the British automaker confirmed that the Jaguar F-Pace SVR will debut this week. The new Jaguar I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe will make their North American debuts alongside the F-Pace. All we know about the F-Pace SVR is that it will be the fastest and most powerful version of Jaguar's best-selling product. We don't even have a teaser photo, as Jaguar Land Rover loves to play things close to the vest, so we're sharing some spy photos that we think might be the new model. Expect some version of JLR's 5.0-liter supercharged V8. We're hoping it's the 575 horsepower variant from the refreshed Range Rover Sport SVR. Expect 0-60 mph times in the low-4-second range and a top speed of at least 155 mph. The I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe both debuted earlier this month at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The I-Pace is an all-electric crossover with an estimated 240 miles of range. The SV Coupe is a limited-production two-door variant of the full-size Range Rover. Jaguar's first-ever Super Bowl ad to feature F-Type Coupe

Patrons of this year's Los Angeles Auto Show will be able to get their first glimpse at the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe, but the new hardtop sports car will be shown off to an even greater audience in early February. No, we aren't talking about the Chicago Auto Show - we're referring to the Super Bowl. Jaguar will debut its first-ever Super Bowl ad during the second half of the big game on February 2, 2014, and the sleek new F-Type Coupe will be the star.
According to Jaguar, the ad campaign will pose the question, "Have you ever noticed how in Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?" And for all you social media mavens out there, Jaguar will launch a specific hashtag to go with this marketing: #GoodToBeBad.
British director Tom Hooper is responsible for the ad, which is being filmed in London. Americans will get their first glimpse at the campaign this weekend in the first spot, called Disruptor, but the big F-Type Coupe spot will not air until Super Bowl XLVIII in February.

Jaguar producing short film starring Damian Lewis from Homeland [w/video]

Jaguar is working up a short film to coincide with the US debut of the company's new F-Type. Desire will feature actor Damian Lewis in the lead role opposite Jordi Molla as the main villain in the story. The whole of the action will take place against the picturesque backdrop of the Chilean desert with filming starting early next month. According to Jaguar, the story will follow Lewis as he plays Clark, a man who delivers cars for living. Things get exciting when he crosses paths with a young woman played by Shannyn Sossamon.
With music by Lana Del Rey and some serious production value, Desire sounds keen to take its place among great automotive advertising short films like the BMW Driver series.
