2006 Jaguar Xj on 2040-cars
Gilbert, Arizona, United States
Please contact me at : xuanxmmonsky@uktraders.com .Up for sale is my 2006 Jaguar Vanden Plas Super V8. Its ONLY GOT 38k miles. This
car was $96,000 new. Its Jaguars top of the top. This is not a prettied up ford,
this car is a work of art. It May be The most elegant car you ever drive. Plus,
its supercharged. 0-60 in 5 seconds. 400 horses. A hot rod luxury family car.
Covers every base with the wife;) Full entertainment package, dvd, navigation,
headrest monitors, and airline style burled maple trays for rear passengers.
EVERY option you can get this car has it. Also its like new. Recently had the
30k checkup, and new rotors and pads all the way around. Also i just replaced
the Air struts. Any vehicle with air ride, this is a big expense, and its
already been done, good for another 7 years or so. Other than a couple small
blemishes, and one small dent on the trunk which is hard to see, and a couple of
the rims have road rash ( previous owner did this), it looks showroom. I dont
even think the back seat had been sat in before i bought it. Im only selling
because i need a truck now for work and find myself in situations that require a
truck or SUV. So unfortunately i have to sell it. If your looking at the BMW,
Mercedes, or others in the luxury sedan class, please come see this last, it
will blow you away how much nicer the jaguar is. It also has assisted cruise
control. Drives for you on the freeway, keeps you a desired distance behind
traffic. If they slow, the car slows, if they speed up the car automatically
speeds up to the set speed. I recently drove to LA and didnt touch the break
once on the freeway...sweet.
If you google issues or maintenance on these cars youll find they are quite
robust and bulletproof. Only costly stuff that goes out is the Air ride
suspension, and brakes. Ive recently replaced both, brembo brakes, and brand new
air struts. This car will need nothing for several years. The battery is in the
trunk away from the hot motor so it wont die like a typical battery in
Arizona.
Asking $25900. Needs nothing, all services up to date, no issues. The dealers
sell this car for quite a bit more usually, and no tax or other dealer fees
here.
NOTE*** If your pricing these cars make sure you note the car is Supercharged.
Its a totally different model. The price for a supercharged jag is about 10k
more than
one thats not.

2017 Jaguar XE 20d Quick Spin
Mon, May 4 2015Base models rarely get their due in the press. Big-engine, high-horsepower variants get all the headlines, but the junior version is what sells in volume. We're just as guilty here at Autoblog, with both a first and second drive of the Jaguar XE in supercharged V6 guise, and barely a mention of the entry-level, 2.0-liter diesel. So, in Perd Hapley style, the Jaguar XE diesel is the model of the Jaguar XE we're going to discuss. Yes, the volume model of the Jaguar XE is a diesel, at least for now. A turbocharged 2.0-liter gas engine, wearing the 25t badge, will arrive after the XE's early 2016 on-sale date. Oil-burners and volume are not a thing in the United States, except for heavy-duty pickup trucks. Despite that apparent contradiction, the XE 20d could find some converts. Driving Notes The biggest clue to the engine's fuel source is the tachometer, which only counts to 6,000. But you wouldn't know from the fast throttle response or the way revs climb when you mash the accelerator. All 180 peak horsepower come at 4,000 rpm, and the 317 pound-feet of torque are available from 1750 to 2500 rpm. Really, this engine is smooth. Credit the low 15.1:1 compression ratio, which also helps make the engine's aluminum construction possible. The surge of power from the turbo builds steadily instead of kicking in all at once. Jaguar's engineers focused on friction reduction with a fanatical devotion, all in the name of efficiency. One key feature is the offset crankshaft. That is, the crankshaft is located to the side of the cylinder centerline. This reduces the side load forces during the firing cycle. In the manual transmission the gears are cupped to reduce mass. A pump sprays oil directly on the cogs, which cuts back on the total amount of fluid and cuts back on friction loss due to windage. No, the manual transmission isn't coming to the US. And yes, it's really good. Not just in the cliche journalist love for the diesel-manual combo, but objectively good. That smooth responsive nature of the engine is amplified when you get to choose your own gears. So we make due with the eight-speed automatic, the 8HP45 version of the ubiquious ZF box. The coolest trick here is a pendulum-style damper in the torque converter instead of a typical spring damper. When the torque converter is locked up this cuts down on torsional vibration between the engine and transmission. And that enables low-rpm cruising and higher mpg.
Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.
Jaguar C-X17 rides high into Frankfurt
Tue, 10 Sep 2013After enviously watching its competitors rake in piles of crossover-shaped dollars for years, Jaguar is poised to get into the game with a production model based on this C-X17 concept. While the British brand hasn't officially confirmed it will sell a utility vehicle - indeed, brand fans and industry watchers have wondered whether the Leaping Cat even need to get into the game considering its corporate cousins at Land Rover - we would be dumbfounded if it didn't happen in short order.
We've always been concerned that Jaguar's styling language wouldn't translate well to a high-riding shape, but here at its Frankfurt Motor Show debut, the C-X17 comes off as quite handsome (if predictable) in the metal. The same couldn't always be said of Jag's styling DNA, but newer models beginning with the XF and the XJ have introduced design elements like a larger, more vertical grille that suit the C-X17's form factor exceedingly well. Even the rear end successfully borrows its taillamp design from the glorious new F-Type Roadster.
Underneath the concept's two-box shape is a new aluminum unibody that Jag says it is poised to employ on its next-generation models, including the long-expected midsize sedan coming to North America in 2016. Jaguar has long been a leader in aluminum chassis development even as it has struggled to take weight out of some of its vehicles (the F-Type, for instance, isn't exactly lightweight). Thus far, Jaguar isn't talking powertrains other than to say it will employ a new generation of gas and diesel engines.
