Check out this LOW MILEAGE & RARE SUPERCHARGED Jaguar XJ8!!!!

According to Wikipedia, only 788 of the Supercharged VandenPlas XJ8's were produced from 1997-2003, so this is a VERY RARE Jag! See article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XJ_(X308).

The Platinum Silver exterior looks beautiful and the Charcoal Black leather interior is very clean! There are signs of some paintwork (few small areas of clear coat flaking on the passenger side; very minimal, but a slight shade difference in paint hue). The seats show signs of aging but are not torn. Headliner is sagging in areas, but still intact.

All 370 horsepower of the 4.0 liter V8 in this Cat purr, and the automatic transmission shifts smooth and strong! Every amenity works like it should, including front and rear heated seats, ice cold air conditioning, power locks, power windows, remote entry, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power seats and power moon roof.

A great matched set of Continentals are wrapped around very cool aftermarket 17" rims. The car runs, drives and handles just like a Jag with only 70,000 miles would!

At times the ABS/Traction Control light does illuminate (no other warning lights). Told by those in the know that likely culprit is wheel speed sensor, and being intermittent, probably needs cleaning.

Check out the value in this car: KBB suggested price is $18,000! Original MSRP was $85,000! See link to valuation at http://www.kbb.com/jaguar/xj-series/2001-jaguar-xj-series/xj8-vanden-plas-supercharged-sedan-4d/?vehicleid=4514&intent=buy-used&options=4514%7c46983%7c49418%7c100%7c10%7c&mileage=70000

PLEASE NOTE: while my dealership is in Holland Michigan, the car is currently located in Chicago at the Manheim dealer only auction. It will be auctioned off on there on Thursday July 24th if the reserve has not been met on this auction. You are more than welcome to contact me with a Buy It Now offer. This car is also advertised on my website (peoplescarcompany.com) and is for sale on the open market as well. Should the car sell outside this eBay auction the listing and bids will be cancelled. Pickup of car can be coordinated in Holland Michigan or Chicago Illinois.

IN ADDITION: as a licensed Michigan car dealer it is required that I collect tax, title fee, and registration/plate fee. I also charge a $95 documentation fee for processing the paperwork. All fees above and beyond the sale price of the car are the buyer's responsibility. Transporting this car is also the buyers responsibility, though I will help in any way I can, including utilizing the wholesale shipping network that I have. If you are flying in to Grand Rapids Michigan airport, I will pick you up at no charge and take you to your new Jag for you to drive home. You can confidently hop in this car and drive it anywhere! That said, the car is still sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied.

FINALLY: while I don't utilize eBay for many of my vehicle sales, I have been an eBay member since 1999 with 100% positive feedback (check out username kevhead31). I take very seriously the accuracy of my listings and honesty of my descriptions, which is why I have never had even 1 negative feedback.

UK car output falls 14% in March, may get worse with no-deal Brexit

Tue, Apr 30 2019

LONDON — British car output fell for the 10th month in a row in March, hit by a slowdown in key foreign markets, and the sector stands to suffer a lot more if the country leaves the European Union without a deal, an industry body said on Tuesday. Output tumbled by an annual 14.4 percent to 126,195 cars in March, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders said. Exports, which account for nearly four out of every five cars made in Britain, were down by 13.4 percent. The SMMT said analysis it had commissioned predicted output would fall this year to 1.36 million units from 1.52 million in 2018, assuming London can secure a transition deal with the EU. If Britain has to rely instead on World Trade Organization rules for its trade with the bloc, which include import tariffs, output is forecast to fall by around 30 percent to 1.07 million units in 2021, returning to mid-1980s levels, the SMMT said. The forecasts were produced for SMMT by AutoAnalysis, a consultancy. Prime Minister Theresa May has secured a delay to the Brexit deadline until Oct. 31, giving her more time to try to break an impasse in parliament over the terms of Britain's departure from the EU. Foreign minister Jeremy Hunt traveled to Japan earlier this month to try to persuade the Japanese government and Toyota, which has a big presence in Britain, that London was determined to avoid a no-deal Brexit. "Just a few years ago, industry was on track to produce 2 million cars by 2020 — a target now impossible with Britain's reputation as stable and attractive business environment undermined," SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said. "All parties must find a compromise urgently so we can set about repairing the damage and diverting energy and investment to the technological challenges that will define the future of the global industry." Daily Driver: 2015 Jaguar XJL AWD

Mon, Jun 15 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers who drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Jaguar XJL AWD, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: [00:00:00] Hey everybody, it's your old pal Seyth here with Autoblog. I am in the 2015 Jaguar XJL. That L is for a long-wheelbase. The engine powering this car is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6. My cameras inside probably didn't pick up a lot of that, but the supercharged 3.0-liter does have a nice little growl to it, especially in sport mode [00:00:30] where I'm staying higher in the rev range. It doesn't have that same big, luxurious, meaty, whoofly V8 sound as the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter used to. At 340 horsepower, 332 lb-ft of torque, this engine has everything that you need. I think that they say the 0 to 60 time is around six seconds. Frankly, the car feels a little bit faster even that that. Again, we're talking about a large long-wheelbase car here. What's particularly interesting and [00:01:00] relevant to the weather that you see behind me right now, is that this car is not rear-wheel drive. It is in fact all-wheel drive. Even going into this, knowing obviously that I was in an all-wheel drive car, the first drive really reveals it to handle a lot like a rear-wheel drive vehicle. That's appropriate. That's what you want in a car of this class. Something very luxurious and that has a reputation built on sporting dynamics as opposed to sort of just comfort and refinement. [00:01:30] Jaguar's goal with an all-wheel drive system like this is to make the car still feel very much like a rear-wheel drive vehicle but give you just enough ability to be able to pull out of a corner smartly when the grip is a little bit lower than you'd expect it to be. Obviously if there's some snow on the ground, that's a helpful thing. Or on a day like today, when I'm coming out of a corner on a slightly slippery road, being able to put the power down is advantageous. To be honest, so far the application has been really seamless. The power seems to be [00:02:00] flowing from the engine just to the rear wheels. I feel like I'm getting a little bit of assist, right now I'm entering a corner at a moderate speed and not really slipping at all. It feels like a rear-wheel drive car. I've always loved this XJ.

2015 Jaguar F-Type V6 S Coupe

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

My first, ill-fated job in the auto world was at an exotic car dealer in metro Detroit. The job itself sucked, but the cars, they were exceptional. Amidst a sea of Tiptronic Porsche Boxsters, first-gen Mercedes-Benz SLKs and abused second-generation Range Rovers, there were some real gems.
In particular, I have fond memories of a trio of undrivable Jaguar E-Types. Two Series II coupes as well as a Series III convertible (that featured a mostly broken roof) spent the entirety of my brief tenure at the dealership in the back of the musty service garage. I'd make side trips through there just to see the trio of E-Types, which rarely failed to put a big, ridiculous grin on my face.
Since that time in the summer of 2005, there hasn't been a single Jag that's been capable of eliciting the same goofy smile. Not the XFR-S, with its un-aristocratic wing, nor the XKR-S. At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, though, Jaguar introduced this F-Type Coupe. Sure, the droptop model had been around for a bit, but I thought it was the new coupe that most captured the E-Type's classic aesthetic, with a swooping roofline, those gorgeous rear haunches and a long, powerful hood. I had to drive one.
