This is my 1994 Jaguar XJ12 luxury sedan with the 6.0L 300HP V12 engine.  This is a very rare classic Jaguar that was built in very low numbers.  These cars are rare and becoming collectible in all-original condition such as this one.  Production numbers are somewhat difficult to come by but there seem to have been only about 485 of these cars built in 1994.  This is probably one of the nicest XJ12 models of any that remain.

This was the top-of-the-line Jaguar built at the time.  You could not get more luxury or more features than this car.  In my opinion it is a great balance between classic Jaguar looks and modern features.  And the butter-smooth 300HP V12 really makes this a special car.

This car was just brought from Portland, Oregon where it has been since new.  Portland has a unique climate that preserves cars longer than anywhere else I've seen.  It never gets hot, never gets particularly cold and the sun doesn't shine much.  Therefore cars last incredibly long.  This car has NEVER been exposed to road salt (it's illegal there) and this car has all-original paint that looks very good.  There are no significant exterior flaws- no dings or dents and absolutely no rust.  

The interior of this Jag looks beautiful.  The upholstery and leather looks very good for the age and has held up very well.  The driver's seat had some wear but I had it professionally reupholstered for a cost of over $1000 at a shop that does Pebble Beach-quality restoration work.  The passenger seat and rear seats look very good and the leather is in good shape.  The carpets are in good shape and the interior as a whole looks very nice.

This car runs and drives very well.  The V12 is smooth and powerful and runs well.  You can hardly believe how powerful this car is- the acceleration is so smooth you have to look at the speedometer before you feel like you're going fast.  There a no known major mechanical troubles and no warning lights or check engine lights are on.  I don't know of any reason you couldn't drive this car anywhere.   

This is a 1994 car and as such it isn't brand new.  Please expect normal issues and wear and tear consistent with the age of the car.  Here is a list of anything and everything I know of wrong with the car:  Three of the aluminum wheels have some oxidation in the spokes and the clearcoat has worn through.  The remaining wheel was most likely the spare and it looks like new.  There are minor swirl marks and scratches in the paint- very minor.  There are a few pieces of chrome door trim broken off slightly.  The original driver's floor mat is missing.  There is one broken foglight. There is some suspension noise over large bumps.  That's it.  This is probably one of the nicest of these XJ12 models remaining in the country.

Pivi Pro Jaguar Land Rover Infotainment Review | A massive improvement

Infotainment systems in Jaguar Land Rover products have irked us for a long while. They’re generally a good step — or several — behind other luxury automakers' infotainment systems in terms of features and looks. But the big problem has always been their functionality. Even right out of the gate, they exhibited an undue amount of lag and general bugginess. Pivi Pro is supposed to change all of that. ItÂ’s JLRÂ’s completely new-from-the-ground-up infotainment system that is quickly spreading across the companyÂ’s range of products. It features a new screen size and layout. Plus, the software itÂ’s running is vastly different from what we saw previously. Our Byron Hurd got a first taste of it with a number of JLR products in a short period of time and found it to be a big improvement. Now, weÂ’ve had a new Land Rover Discovery in the garage for a longer period to fully suss out the system. Will it hold up? Watch the video above for a quick tour, and keep reading for some more detailed thoughts. Before diving in too deep, you should know off the top that Pivi Pro is a massive improvement over JLR infotainment systems of old. There are still some issues, but the new systemÂ’s performance is exponentially better than what itÂ’s replacing. This is partly thanks to it now running off its own backup battery. This allows the whole system to load immediately upon startup, ensuring that you arenÂ’t sitting and waiting for items to populate after you press the start button.  The new 11.4-inch screen this software plays on is splendid to both look at and touch. ItÂ’s a super-high-resolution panel, and it takes to our inputs quickly and without protest. The new UI layout makes things easier and prettier, too. All of your important items are tucked into a panel on the left, making them super easy to find and select. Plus, a sticky “home” button means you can always find your way out of menus when youÂ’re done diving around. We dig the three-panel home screen and its minimalist style, but for those who might favor maximum functionality over a pretty home screen, you can replace this with rows of app icons. For those wanting to use their phones, there is indeed an in-car WiFi data plan available to buy. Plus, JLR newly allows you to connect two devices via Bluetooth instead of just one. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are nicely integrated with this new system.

Jaguar designs Tour de France racing bike [w/video]

Jaguar is known for designing luxury sedans, and it's known for designing GTs. But once in a while it dabbles in a new area of transportation design. It's working on its first crossover at the moment, and even did a speedboat concept a couple of years ago. Now it's turned its attention to bicycles.
While many automakers have designed bikes in the past, Jaguar's project has a bit more of a direct correlation. It's been working with Team Sky - the outfit that has won the Tour de France two years running now - since 2010, furnishing the team with support vehicles for bicycle races around the world. But now it's stepping its collaboration up a notch by redesigning the team's bike.
Working with frame manufacturer Pinarello, Jaguar took the existing Dogma 65.1 racing bike design back to the drawing board. Jaguar's designers and engineers reshaped the frame tubes, seat post, front fork, derailleur and all the components attached to the frame, each part streamlined for aerodynamic efficiency. They ran it through Jaguar's Computational Fluid Dynamics processor 300 times then verified the results in the wind tunnel.
