Jay Leno checks out a replica 1937 Jaguar SS100

This 1937 Jaguar SS100 might be fantastic, but it's not an original. It's a replica, but one built to exacting standards and the original design. And it stopped by Jay Leno's Garage for a quick spin. The original was built by SS Cars Ltd, the precursor of the company we know today as Jaguar – and which changed its name and logo after WWII for reasons that shouldn't require explanation. There were only a few hundred of them made between 1936 and 1940, but they remain a popular choice among recreation manufacturers. Many of those replica constructors are based out of the UK, but this particular example is the work of one Jason Len, head of XKs Unlimited out of San Luis Obispo, CA. Len and company will produce a turnkey replica of the pre-war Jag convertible starting at $170,000. Which may seem like an awful lot for a replica, but that price may seem entirely reasonable when you see all the attention that goes in to building one. Watch the video above to see for yourself. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.

Season Two of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicked this week in style. How much more style is there to be had than in a 1969 Jaguar XKE, after all? This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration.
