2005 Rare Jaguar X Type Wagon 3.0 Awd (no Reserve) on 2040-cars
Salisbury, North Carolina, United States
Hi and Thanks for looking at my Wife's car. This is a sporty little wagon. This has been my Wife's daily driver for the last 2 plus years. She is a kindergarten teacher and drives approx. 10 miles round trip to work. She just turned 60 on December the 4th and she wanted a sporty convertible for her birthday so I bought her a BMW 645CI. We have owned 6 different Jaguars over the years and love these cars. This car has been basically problem free except for normal maintenance type items such as a couple sensors, a fuel cap, a radiator cap and it had a weak coil pack so the mechanic replaced all three on that side as they were hard to get to. The tires are approx. 3 months old. We have kept the car serviced regularly and there are no known mechanical issues. The car is in good overall physical and mechanical condition. As with any 2005 vehicle it does show normal wear. There are a few small door dings and the rear headliner was loose when we bought the car but it is secured by furniture screw pins and does not pose a problem. It is not perfect but is well above average for a 2005 vehicle. The car runs strong! You are welcome to come view or drive the car. Note: I reserve the right to sell the car before the end of the auction as I have it listed locally Terms of Payment- $ 1,000.00 is due by PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the sale. The balance is due within 5 days of the end of the sale. Note: My Wife is a school teacher and we do have a small loan at our N. C. State Employees Credit Union is Salisbury. I will accept a bank wire type payment for the remaining balance and you can send it to the Credit Union which will in turn send you the title. We have dealt with them for over 20 years. I will assist in the purchase and the title will be sent to you ASAP. Shipping- Any shipping related expenses or arrangements will be made and paid for by the buyer. I will be glad to drive the car approx. 20 miles to a Wal-Mart etc. for your shipper to pick-up. |

Jaguar XE SVR to challenge M3, C63 with supercharged V8 power
Tue, Oct 14 2014Jaguar has a healthy powertrain range lined up for its new XE, including an array of four-cylinder engines and a supercharged 3.0-liter six that will, for now, serve as the range-topping offering in the XE S. But Car and Driver claims to have it on good authority that an even more powerful eight-cylinder version is in the works, as well. According to C/D, the XE's engine bay has been designed to accommodate the company's ubiquitous 5.0-liter V8 engine, which in the larger XF is offered in several states of tune, including the XF Supercharged with 470 horsepower, the XFR with 510 hp and the flagship XFR-S with 550 hp. Just which version (or versions) would be offered in the XE remains to be seen, but even in its lowest-spec supercharged form, the 470-hp version would already be enough to challenge the 425-hp BMW M3 and the base 469-hp version of the new Mercedes-AMG C63. If Jaguar wants to take on the C63 S, however, it will need to shoehorn in one of the more powerful versions. In the end, Coventry's new Special Vehicle Operations division may opt to offer two versions, like it does with the XFR and XFR-S. Expect the top version, however much muscle it packs, to wear the British automaker's new SVR badge. It just may take a few years before it does so.
Jaguar takes bite out of Mercedes' Magic Body Control chicken ad
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We were quite impressed by Mercedes-Benz when it aired its Magic Body Control commercial, starring a group suitably funky chickens demonstrating their ability to jive to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Now, Jaguar has taken the opportunity to poke some fun at its German rival, releasing its own take on the Magic Body Control spot, and um, there's a big cat involved.
You'll really want to take a look at this video, which is just another sign that in terms of clever ads, Jaguar is doing quite well. We aren't sure if "Jaguar vs. Chicken" will make it onto TV any time soon, but it's still fun to see the British brand take the mickey out of Mercedes - it's rare to see automakers go after each other so bluntly in their marketing efforts. Scroll down to watch the video (we've also included a bonus video, Jag's recent "Cat In A Box" spot).
Jaguar planning all-electric E-Pace crossover
Mon, Oct 26 2015Jaguar hasn't quite finished rolling out the new F-Pace (pictured above), and already reports are circulating of another crossover model to join it in the near future. According to Automobile, it'll be called the E-Pace. Here's the kicker: it'll be all-electric. The E-Pace would take advantage of ultra-efficient aerodynamics in order to drop its drag coefficient to just 0.28 g, thereby increasing efficiency. It'd also be the first fully electric model from Jaguar, and would likely be even smaller than the sporty new F-Pace. Through-the-road all-wheel drive would give it poor weather traction, and the electric motors would provide plenty of low-end punch. The model would go up against the Tesla Model X and a potential production version of the Audi E-Tron Quattro concept revealed in Frankfurt. Rather than handle production in-house, the E-Pace could emerge as the mysterious upcoming model which Jaguar Land Rover is planning to have Magna Steyr build on its behalf. The factory in Graz, Austria has long built the G-Class for Mercedes-Benz, continues to assemble the Mini Countryman, and has also handled models like the Aston Martin Rapide and BMW X3. Automobile figures that Jaguar would need to make at least 20,000 units each year to make the model profitable. For comparison's sake, Tesla is projected to move about 33,000 Model S units in 2015. Even if the E-Pace falls short of this target, the project could be worthwhile for JLR purely for publicity purposes and to help cut its average fleet emissions. Related Video:
