Very rare 2005 Jaguar X-Type AWD Wagon with 1 owner 41,230 actual miles. This car was serviced regularly as you can see on autocheck or carfax, the original owner took extremely good care of this vehicle. It was traded in for a new Honda and I purchased this car from the Honda dealer and now I am reselling it. This car is equipped with cold a/c, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, am/fm/cd, automatic transmission, sunroof, driver power seat, power mirrors, rear back-up sensors and much more standard accessories. Mechanically this car is in excellent condition, the 3.0 liter V-6 engine runs perfect, the transmission shifts perfectly, and the brakes and suspension are in excellent condition. No issues mechanically. Cosmetically, the vehicle presents itself very nicely, I have taken pictures of the deep scratches on the right front fender and the scratches on the right side of the front bumper. The rear bumper has minor scratches on it as well, the paint and body are in very good condition but please keep in mind this is a 9 year old car and there are some minor scratches and imperfections throughout. Tire condition is good, it has 17 inch Michelin tires that have 60 70% tread left. I have taken pictures of the rims, three of the rims have scuff marks on them. I am a licensed and bonded used Texas used car dealer, the vehicle and title will be released to the new buyer when payment is completed and verified. 2015 Jaguar F-Type V6 S Coupe
Wed, 03 Sep 2014My first, ill-fated job in the auto world was at an exotic car dealer in metro Detroit. The job itself sucked, but the cars, they were exceptional. Amidst a sea of Tiptronic Porsche Boxsters, first-gen Mercedes-Benz SLKs and abused second-generation Range Rovers, there were some real gems.
In particular, I have fond memories of a trio of undrivable Jaguar E-Types. Two Series II coupes as well as a Series III convertible (that featured a mostly broken roof) spent the entirety of my brief tenure at the dealership in the back of the musty service garage. I'd make side trips through there just to see the trio of E-Types, which rarely failed to put a big, ridiculous grin on my face.
Since that time in the summer of 2005, there hasn't been a single Jag that's been capable of eliciting the same goofy smile. Not the XFR-S, with its un-aristocratic wing, nor the XKR-S. At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, though, Jaguar introduced this F-Type Coupe. Sure, the droptop model had been around for a bit, but I thought it was the new coupe that most captured the E-Type's classic aesthetic, with a swooping roofline, those gorgeous rear haunches and a long, powerful hood. I had to drive one.
Jaguar's XF diesel isn't just fuel efficient, it's the cheapest XF available
Tue, Sep 6 2016Jaguar announced the 2017 Jaguar XF will now offer the 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel the company introduced on the XE. In addition to returning an impressive 42 miles per gallon on the highway and 31 in the city, the diesel is the cheapest XF available at $48,445. This means that picking the oil-burner will save you $3,040 over the cheapest gas V6 version, which only manages 29 mpg on the highway and 20 in the city. With 180 horsepower, the diesel is significantly down on power compared with the base V6 model. As a result, the diesel moves slower. Jaguar estimates the base V6 is good for a 5.2-second 0-60 time and the diesel should be able to do the same in 8 seconds. However, that's the only real downside. Even with the slower acceleration times, the diesel still has a very usable 317 lb-ft of torque available from 1,750-2,500 rpm. Based on our test drive of a diesel-equipped XE, the engine also breaks the old diesel stereotypes. It's both quite smooth and responsive. Unless you seriously need that straight-line performance, the Jaguar XF diesel arguably makes the most sense. It provides significant price savings and better fuel economy. The diesel XF also joins the XE and F-Pace diesels, leaving just the XJ and F-Type as the only Jaguars without compression-ignition engines. The British automaker is planning to remedy that, as a Jaguar Land Rover executive said the company plans to also add a diesel XJ variant in the US, even in the wake of the VW diesel scandal. 1955 Jaguar D-Type that won Le Mans sets $21.78 million record price at auction
Sun, Aug 21 2016There's simply no denying that the Jaguar D-Type is one of the most noteworthy race cars ever devised. Jaguar pioneered the use of the monocoque chassis design, and D-Types won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957. And with its bodywork pulled taught over the wheels, engine, and passenger compartment, not to mention the massive fin behind the driver's headrest, the D-Type also one of the most stunning. The car you see above, Jaguar D-Type chassis number XKD 501, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956, narrowly defeating a team from Aston Martin. Along the way, this D-Type completed 2,507.19 miles at an average speed of 104.47 miles per hour, and a maximum speed of 156.868 mph on the Mulsanne Straight. It was entered by the non-factory team Ecurie Ecosse, and therefore painted in the team's traditional Scottish blue with a white cross. That kind of provenance, coupled with its pristine original race-winning condition, makes XKD 501 extremely valuable. In fact, it just sold at RM Sotheby's Monterey auction for $21.78 million (a $19.8 million bid plus auction fees), making it the most expensive British automobile ever sold at auction.
