2005 Jaguar X-type...3.0l...awd...clean...runs Great--no Reserve--steal It on 2040-cars
This 2005 Jaguar X-Type is clean inside and out. The car has been well maintained. In fact, it was just inspected and fully serviced; so you can feel safe driving it anywhere. The engine, transmission, drivetrain, and all other components function perfectly. Plus, the AWD drive feature is great in the snow. The ABS light and airbag light are on. The ABS just came on a few days ago, and the mechanic stated, it is probably a ABS sensor, or simply due snow getting one of the sensors. The airbag light has been on for a while, which is due a bad clock spring, which common on European vehicles. Nonetheless, this vehicle is very safe and reliable.
The interior is in very good condition, showing minimal wear and tear. The leather seats, panel and dash still look great, and the carpet is free on stains. The exterior has minor scuffs and dings, but is in overall good condition. The paint still has a nice shine to it. Just view the pictures for yourself and you will see. This is a really nice car, and it's price to sell quickly. Although this is a NO RESERVE auction, the car is also for sale locally, which means the auction could end early. So offers are welcomed. Don't miss out on this deal. Thanks and Good Luck! Is Jaguar's 3 Series-fighter the brand's last chance?
Wed, 16 Oct 2013The upcoming line of compact 3 Series-fighters from Jaguar, often referred to as the Jaguar XS, could consist of a sedan, wagon and possibly a coupe and GT model (think BMW 5 Series GT). The car's all-aluminum architecture also will provide the basis for two new sports utility vehicles. Just how important is the much-touted "baby Jag" project to parent company Jaguar Land Rover? A JLR executive reportedly says the brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS, codenamed X760, Autocar reports.
The brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS.
"If the X760 fails, it will probably be the end for the [Jaguar] brand," the executive says. But Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, claims Jaguar will "build the most advanced, most efficient, most refined car in that [compact luxury sedan] segment. Not almost as good as, but better than the best in the world."
Jaguar names its 3 Series-fighter XE, packs it with Ingenium engines
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Jaguar is committed to emerging from the fringes of the luxury car market and into the mainstream. Just take a look at where it was a couple of decades ago and where it is now: In the 1980s, it had essentially two product lines, the XJ sedan and XJ-S coupe/convertible), and now it's got the XK coupe and convertible, the XJ sedan, the XF sedan and wagon and the F-Type coupe and roadster. But it's not about to stop there.
Coventry knows that if it's going to take on the German and Japanese heavyweights, it's going to need a compact sports sedan, and it's not about to repeat the mistake that was the X-Type. To that end, it's long been rumored to be developing a rival to the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class - it just hasn't given us much to go on. But that changes right here and now.
At the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar has confirmed the imminent arrival of its new sports sedan, and along with the teaser image above, has given us some juicy details. For one, it'll be called the XE - fitting nicely alongside its big brothers the XF and XJ in Jaguar's growing sedan lineup. For another, it'll hit markets overseas in 2015 and arrive here in the United States in 2016.
Jaguar Land Rover and Chery investing in Chinese plant
Sat, 24 Nov 2012While the European auto market for Jaguar and Land Rover is waning, Chinese car buyers can't get enough of the British marques. To meet that demand, Tata Motors, parent company of Jag and Land Rover, is partnering with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co.
The two announced plans to invest $1.75 billion to build a new plant and create a new, China-focused brand. 2014 is the target for completion of the factory. Jaguars and Land Rovers built at the facility will be the first ever produced outside the UK according to the Associated Press. The JV will be called Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company Ltd.
The announcement comes less than a month after JLR announced it would open a design studio in China. It's not clear from the reports whether the two announcements are part of the same JV or two separate plans.
