This 1972 E-type 2+2 coupe has just come out of storage. It has been tucked away for 7 years and is a matching number car. The previous owner had a new interior put in the car. The front, rear seats and headliner have been done as you can see. Also a new dash was installed including the top of the dash which is usually cracked. The desirable 4 speed manual transmission came factory installed in the car. There are all new tires on the car. There is a new stainless steel exhaust from head to toe. The engine turns over freely and as we speak though, we can not get a spark. There is a new fuel pump and fuel tank. The paint is about a 6 from 1 to 10. It has some minor scratches and chips. The glass is in excellent condition. I have a clear title on the car. The car is being sold for restoration. It steers and rolls for ease of shipping. 2016 Jaguar XE pounces on the Parisian port
Thu, 02 Oct 2014It's been about five years since Jaguar discontinued the misguided X-Type and exited the compact luxury sedan market, but today marks the British automaker's re-entry into the segment with the public debut of the all-new XE.
Pitted against the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the new Jaguar XE is based on an all-new aluminum architecture that will underpin many new felines to follow, and packs a new family of four-cylinder engines. That is, aside from the range-topping XE S pictured above, with the super-six borrowed from the F-Type.
Conservatively styled but elegant and uniquely Jaguar, the XE isn't set to arrive Stateside until 2016. So unless you're planning a trip overseas (with a stop at a Jaguar showroom on the itinerary), our gallery of live shots from the floor of the Paris Motor Show here at the Porte de Versailles may be the best look you'll be getting at Coventry's latest for the next couple of years.
2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT claws at the driving enthusiast in us
Wed, 27 Mar 2013If you still find yourself coming up a few seconds short per lap in your Jaguar XKR-S, the British automaker has introduced the XKR-S GT - a cat specifically tuned for the racing circuit - at the New York Auto Show.
While Jaguar has left the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 unchanged (550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque), it has tuned and tweaked all the items that really make cars go quicker on the track (e.g. suspension, aerodynamics, contact patches, brakes). A once-over reveals upgraded go-fast goodies including a new ventilated hood, extended wheel arch spats, reworked front end with a bespoke front splitter and canards, a massive rear wing, height-adjustable adaptive dampers, active exhaust, carbon-ceramic brakes and sticky Pirelli Corsa tires. Try as we might, the driver in us can't find anything we not to like about this enthusiast-tuned coupe.
Of course all of the upgraded XK goodness doesn't come easy, or cheap. Jaguar will limit North American sales to just 30 units and price each at $174,000. Learn all the juicy details in the official press release below.
