Beautiful 1974-xke, Ots, Series Iii, V12, British Racing Green With Hard Top. on 2040-cars
Hollywood, Florida, United States
1974 Jaguar E-Type-OTS-V12 This is one beautiful cat. A 1974 JAGUAR XKE or E-TYPE, OTS, Series III, V12 Roadster convertible with original hard top. Impeccable British racing green, black top and beige leather interior. Had it for 8 fantastic years in Florida. Always garaged and driven only on sunny days. It is a 4 speed manual, wire wheels, new tires, canvas top and much more. This car was treated like a baby, a real baby. Have to sell it since I just got a boat and wife will only allow one toy at a time. I want to sell this beauty to a caring individual that can use it and enjoy it more often than I can. The exterior is stunning. The paint is amazing and in fantastic condition. The chrome is shiny and bright. There is no corrosion. The car has a black canvas top that is in great condition with no rips or tears anywhere. The whole undercarriage has a protective coat to protect it further from the elements. This car has never seen rain, dust or salty roads. I personally traveled and purchased in 2005 after an exhaustive search throughout the country, for the best jag my money could buy. The V12 is strong, runs very smooth and drives fantastic. As any classic, it has very minor details that may need to be fixed to make it perfect. A small scratch on the interior side panel (my wife’s heels that almost caused a divorce), the drivers head rest and the drivers visor need foam filling. Exterior of fan heater assembly needs a little paint. Some other very minor details that will be fully disclosed to lucky buyer. I didn’t drive this jag more than a five hundred miles a year. Always properly serviced by the Jag Doctor in Ft. Lauderdale. During my tenure, changed the clutch, installed new exhaust system that produces an amazing sound. I just changed all the brake hoses, installed a modern and upgraded 2 fan and new radiator. It has a new upgraded starter. I also got rid of the useless air distribution pipes that improved the performance greatly. I have them in a box in case someone once to re-install them. The tires don’t have more than a thousand miles. It took me a while to take this step and made the very hard decision to sell this amazing car to someone that will enjoy this beauty and treat it with love and respect. Contact me at calbear81@hotmail.com if you want further information. Happy bidding. On Feb-08-14 at 07:33:13 PST, seller added the following information:

Land Rover will put a Covid-nuking air filtration system in future cars
Tue, Mar 16 2021Jaguar - Land Rover (JLR) is developing an air filtration system that inhibits up to 97% of viruses and airborne bacteria. Designed like a face mask for your car's HVAC system, it's built on Panasonic's Nanoe X technology. Most of the company's models (including the Land Rover Defender) currently come equipped with Panasonic's Nanoe technology and PM2.5 filtration. Nanoe X is 10 times more effective, according to the brand, because it relies on a high voltage to create trillions of hydroxyl (OH) radicals enveloped in nano-sized water molecules. Think of them as Roman guards in front of a fortress: they keep the bad out, and ensure only the good can come in. Viruses and bacteria proteins are denatured when they come into contact with the filtration system, meaning they can't reproduce or grow. The OH radicals also zap common allergens and mold, but they're harmless to humans. JLR stressed it's not relying on computer simulations to decide whether its filtration system works as designed. It asked British laboratory Perfectus Biomed to perform a test that simulates a ventilation system in recirculation mode for a 30-minute cycle in a sealed chamber. The results were encouraging: 97% of viruses and airborne bacteria were nuked. The carmaker pointed out Panasonic's Nanoe X technology has been independently proven to inhibit 99.995% of coronaviruses during a two-hour laboratory test carried out by French immunology lab Texcell. Future models from Jaguar and Land Rover will use this technology, though a representative for both companies declined to tell us when it will reach production, and which nameplate(s) will inaugurate it. Meanwhile, Honda launched its own coronavirus killer across the pond. It's a cabin air filter sold as a genuine replacement part that consists of four layers, including one coated with an active substance of fruit extract that inactivates nearly 100% of the viral aerosols it captures. It's available in Europe through Honda dealers, but it won't be sold in America. Jaguar Land Rover
This classic Jaguar XJ has a 720-hp ungentlemanly secret
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Forget Tawny Kitaen. If you want to make a Jaguar XJ rock, just do what this guy did: stuff a heavily modified and turbocharged General Motors V8 under the hood, and take it to the track.
The video calls this Series 1 XJ a sleeper, but with its open exhaust and obvious turbo whistle, the once-gentlemanly sedan is anything but. The owner says that the engine is GM LQ9 V8 that has been stroked to 402 cubic inches putting out around 720 horsepower with 12 pounds of boost (in standard form, this 6.0-liter V8 was used in the second-gen Cadillac Escalade). Check out the video below to see what that kind of power does for this classic Jaguar in the eighth-mile.
Jaguar XE SVR to challenge M3, C63 with supercharged V8 power
Tue, Oct 14 2014Jaguar has a healthy powertrain range lined up for its new XE, including an array of four-cylinder engines and a supercharged 3.0-liter six that will, for now, serve as the range-topping offering in the XE S. But Car and Driver claims to have it on good authority that an even more powerful eight-cylinder version is in the works, as well. According to C/D, the XE's engine bay has been designed to accommodate the company's ubiquitous 5.0-liter V8 engine, which in the larger XF is offered in several states of tune, including the XF Supercharged with 470 horsepower, the XFR with 510 hp and the flagship XFR-S with 550 hp. Just which version (or versions) would be offered in the XE remains to be seen, but even in its lowest-spec supercharged form, the 470-hp version would already be enough to challenge the 425-hp BMW M3 and the base 469-hp version of the new Mercedes-AMG C63. If Jaguar wants to take on the C63 S, however, it will need to shoehorn in one of the more powerful versions. In the end, Coventry's new Special Vehicle Operations division may opt to offer two versions, like it does with the XFR and XFR-S. Expect the top version, however much muscle it packs, to wear the British automaker's new SVR badge. It just may take a few years before it does so.
