Year:2006 Mileage:34106
Location:

West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States

West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States

For sale at NO RESERVE is my absolutely immaculate 2-owner, garage kept, low mileage Victory Edition XKR in Black Copper Metallic. This is a specialty color that is different from Jaguar's typical "anthracite" black vehicles and is exclusive to these limited edition cars. In the sun the paint looks incredible and gets a lot of attention!  Another exclusive option is the carbon fiber interior trim on the dash and window switches. Stunning is all that I can say about it.

Very low miles! 7000 of them were strictly highway as I drove the car across the country back in 2009 shortly after I got it. The car had a clearbra on it so no rock chips appeared anywhere from the trip. Attached are a few pictures of the car on the West Coast. This is one of the last true Jags before Tata took over the brand and it will for sure be a classic. Gets tons of looks/comments. I really do not want to sell it, but due to purchasing an XKR-S convertible and planning on buying the new Z06 Convertible, I have no more room for the car and refuse to let it sit outside.

Everything about this car is in perfect condition and every device works perfectly.

Maintenance Schedules (includes a binder full of receipts)

- 4,000 Mile Castrol Syntec oil changes, or 6 month intervals whichever comes first
- Every 2 years brake fluid/coolant and cabin air filters changed
- Every 6 months, $350 professional detail job including claybar, machine-polish then waxed.

30,000 Miles:

ZF Trans fluid drained and refilled by exclusive Jaguar shop ($600 service)
Replaced HID bulbs that were dimming ($800 bill)
Replaced tie-rod ends and control arm bushings (not necessary, but wanted like-new performance and warranty covered it)
Replaced both front adaptive shocks due to leaking strut on left from pothole ($1500 bill). Car rides like it's brand new.
Replaced Brembo brake pads on front/rear and front rotors renewed ($2300 bill)
Replaced tires with Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Pole Positions
Replaced supercharger belt and accessory belts/tensioners

Tasteful upgrades are as follows

Mina Gallery Catback (Nice european tone, not too loud, just the perfect sound)
Mina Gallery Lower Front Grille
15% Tints

I guarantee you will not find another XKR of this caliber! Don't miss out on a true classic at an incredibly low price. This car needs nothing and is pristine in every way imagineable.

Call or text 714-697-7576.

I will work with anyone who wants to ship the car and who is local and wants to test drive and see the car in person. The car is listed for sale locally and has already gathered lots of attention. As such, I reserve the right to stop the auction and sell as a first-come, first-serve basis. Accepted payments are cash ($100 bills only), Cashier's check and bank wire transfer.

2017 Jaguar XE First Drive

Wed, Jan 28 2015

For the first time in decades, the prize for the best-driving compact luxury sport sedan is very much up for grabs. BMW's 3 Series, the segment's longstanding archetype, has grown a bit soft, distant and pricy. Its Japanese rival from Infiniti, the Q50, lost the plot thanks to its video game steering and dated powerplant. The Audi A4 is due for replacement and the fantastic Mercedes-Benz C-Class skews luxury over sport. The Cadillac ATS? With an excellent chassis hobbled by middling powertrains and the devil's own infotainment system, it isn't selling. Unlikely as it sounds, the Lexus IS is probably the segment's best driver, but you've got to learn to love those turn-to-stone looks. So, where's a segment malcontent to look? Provided he or she is patient enough to wait for this car's spring 2016 arrival, allow us to recommend the 2017 Jaguar XE. Let's be honest. Jaguar really needed to come out with guns blazing. The last time the British brand battled in the compact premium sport sedan segment, its much-maligned X-Type slinked into the underbrush, tail between its legs after just a single generation. While the X was in some ways a better car than history will begrudge it, there's no getting around that Jaguar brought a front-wheel-drive-based knife to a rear-wheel-drive gun fight. This new XE will need to be a very different kitty, and it is. Internally known as X760, Jag's latest rides atop an all-new aluminum-intensive modular architecture wearing a handsome mosaic of aluminum and steel body panels. While the XE's design has struck us as very familiar since it first bowed in September, it's an attractive shape. Its longish, 111.6-inch wheelbase and wheels-at-the-corner stance gives the design a planted look emphasized by its wide rectangular grille and prominent lower air intakes. Jaguar claims a super-slick .26 coefficient of drag, but that's the skinny-tired overseas base model that we'll never see – ours will likely ring up a few hundredths higher. The aluminum body-in-white is itself an impressive piece of work, weighing just over 550 pounds. Vehicle engineering manager Jonathan Darlington says it's 20-percent stiffer torsionally than the XF, and "the lightest in the sector by far." What's more, the chassis incorporates liberal amounts of recycled aluminum (a claimed world first) and increased use of structural adhesives.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

Jaguar working on windows that open when you touch them

Mon, Jan 12 2015

Jaguar is working on side windows that will whir up and down not with a push of a button, but with a touch of the glass itself. According to Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, "For instance, if you want to pull the windows down, you touch a certain area of the glass and you can actually just drop them down." Callum would go on to caution, "These things are all a work in progress at the moment," before pausing and saying, "That's coming." When we asked when we might see such technology deployed in a production car, Callum, who spoke with Autoblog at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday, said, "I don't know when, but we certainly know how to do it." Callum was less forthcoming about how the technology functions, saying, "Oh, I can't tell you (laughs)... it's proximity, mainly." It's not clear whether traditional physical switches mounted on the doors would still be required with such a system. The designer then went on to discuss Jaguar's innovation in proximity-based switchgear – the automaker has already been using the technology for its interior overhead lighting controls and glovebox release. When we asked about any safety concerns that touch-control windows might generate, Callum said, "I think if it's a very specific area, there's absolutely no ambiguity about what you're trying to do – it's fine." Callum knows a thing or two about the need for absolute specificity in this area – when Jaguar introduced its XF sedan with proximity switchgear, it found passengers were accidentally opening their gloveboxes with their knees, which prompted a quick redesign. "It's a whole new genre of disciplines that we have to think about – what is safe," he said. Design/Style Jaguar Technology Luxury 2015 Detroit Auto Show
