THE ONLY FLAWS THAT THE CAR HAS ON THE INTERIOR ARE THE USUAL WEAR ON THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE MIDDLE TOP REST BETWEEN THE SEATS. THE ONLY FLAWS ON THE EXTERIOR ARE ON THE PASSENGER MIRROR, IT HAS A SCRATCH ON IT FROM RUNNING ACROSS THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE WHEN WE DROVE INTO THE GARAGE, TOO CLOSELY. THE REAR LEFT QUARTER PANEL HAS A LITTLE DENT ON THE TOP OF IT DUE TO ME DROPPING A BOX ON TOP OF IT, BUT IT ISN'T SCRATCHED AND CAN LIKELY BE PULLED UP WITH A SUCTION CUP AT A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP FOR MINIMAL COST, BUT I NEVER HAD IT FIXED SINCE YOU CAN'T EVEN NOTICE IT UNLESS YOU LOOK FOR IT. THE FRONT HOOD HAS A FEW ROCK CHIPS WHICH IS NORMAL WITH ANY CAR. BUT THE PAINT AND CAR LOOK FLAWLESS, LIKELY DUE TO BEING KEPT IN THE GARAGE AND BECAUSE MY WIFE AND I HAVE ALWAYS PAMPERED THE CAR. WE PURCHASED THIS CAR WHEN WE LIVED IN LAS VEGAS, BUT WE MOVED BACK TO CONNECTICUT TO BE CLOSER TO FAMILY AND WE RARELY DRIVE THE CAR, SO WE DECIDED TO SELL IT. IT HAS BEEN THE BEST CAR WE HAVE EVER OWNED. IT IS INCREDIBLY FUN TO DRIVE WITH THE TOP DOWN. THE CAR HAS NEVER HAD ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS FOR US AND IT SEEMS TO BE FLAWLESS, MECHANICALLY AND IN APPEARANCE. IF YOU HAVE EVER WANTED A FUN, SUPER FAST, BEAUTIFUL JAGUAR CONVERTIBLE, THIS IS THE ONE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. IT LOOKS AND DRIVES LIKE THE $80,000+ SPORTS CAR THAT IT WAS, NEW. THIS CAR HAS THE BEAUTIFUL AND RARE WHITE EXTERIOR WITH AN OATMEAL (TAN) INTERIOR AND THE COLOR COMBINATION IS INCREDIBLE. YOU WILL LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS AND DRIVES. THE CAR IS ONE OF THE NICEST CARS YOU WILL FIND. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL. |

Jaguar Land Rover will electrify all new models after 2020 — and maybe some old ones
Thu, Sep 7 2017Just as Volvo did earlier this year, Jaguar and Land Rover announced a date after which all new models introduced will be electrified. That date is 2020, a year after Volvo, and JLR's definition of electrification is very similar to Volvo's, including full electrics, plug-in hybrids, and mild hybrids. Whether the British automaker's mild hybrids will be something like the 48-volt start-stop function on the Audi A8 or a more conventional hybrid has yet to be announced. Regardless, internal combustion engines won't disappear from the Jaguar and Land Rover lineups yet, and there's still a couple of years before the start date for the companies to sneak in a fully gasoline or diesel model if they wish. And on the flip side, there's nothing stopping the companies from releasing EVs or hybrids before the start date, which is exactly what Jaguar is doing with the I-Pace. Jaguar reiterated that the electric crossover will go on sale in 2018. View 11 Photos Jaguar specifically isn't just looking at electrifying future cars, but also possibly classic cars. Jaguar Land Rover Classic revealed its fully electric E-Type concept. The vintage car department took a first-generation model and created a battery pack and electric powertrain that could fit in the car, leaving as much original as possible, including the way it drives. The battery pack and motor are mounted up front, with power sent to the rear, and they weigh roughly the same and fill roughly the same space as the old straight-six engine. This keeps weight distribution the same, makes packaging easy, and should keep the driving experience roughly the same as the old car — though the electrified version is faster. Jaguar claims a 0-62 mph time of 5.5 seconds, which is about a second quicker than the gas-powered model. It also has a range of 170 miles and a charging time of around 6 to 7 hours. Other changes include an updated interior with touchscreen infotainment, carbon fiber dash, and LCD instruments. Jaguar said this electric conversion is just a concept right now, which could be just as well. We're not sure many E-Type owners would line up to replace their old six- and 12-cylinder engines. After all, part of the appeal of those cars is the sound of the engine, and stirring a manual gearbox.
Jaguar F-Type SVR graphics package makes it look like the Project 7
Mon, Mar 5 2018If you missed out on buying a Jaguar F-Type Project 7 roadster a few years ago, Jaguar will now offer a way to get the next best thing. It's rolling out a new graphics package for the F-Type SVR that adds a set of stripes and contrasting accents that are very reminiscent of the special Project 7 and the race cars that inspired it. And since the current SVR makes the same power as the Project 7, you won't be missing out on much except the custom bodywork. Across the hood and fenders are similar horizontal stripes that only really differ in how the number "575" is included. This number represents the car's 575 horsepower. The front stripes are joined by more on the sideskirts and mirrors, with those on the sideskirts also getting the 575 designation. The stripes are complemented by a grille surround and wing end caps finished with the same color as the stripes. Jaguar will offer the graphics package in six color combinations. It can be had in white with red stripes, black with gold stripes, grey with blue stripes, red with black stripes, blue with grey stripes, or silver with black stripes. Also, while it will be a no-cost option overseas, it will add a bit to the cost of North American examples. Jaguar didn't say how much the option will be here, though. Jaguar design boss admits X-Type was a mistake
Thu, 19 Sep 2013History has a way of repeating itself, especially in the auto industry. When Jaguar was owned by Ford, the British brand attempted to field a competitor for the BMW 3 Series, called the X-Type. Based on the bones of a Ford Mondeo, it aped the styling of Jaguar's flagship model, the XJ, while borrowing liberally from the Ford parts bin. That was 2001.
Now, in 2013, Jaguar is planning a new 3 Series challenger based on the platform previewed by the C-X17 Concept, while Ford is attempting to take the latest Mondeo upmarket. The moves have both brands recognizing where, why, and how the X-Type failed. "It didn't look mature or powerful or anything. It was just a car," Jaguar's current head of advanced design, Julian Thomson, told PistonHeads. Basing the X-Type on a front-drive car while giving it styling that was meant for a rear-driver lead to proportions that "were plainly wrong," Thomson told PH. Ford's European head of quality, Gunnar Herrmann, added that the X-Type was "a fake Jaguar, because every piece I touch is Ford."
For what it's worth, the X-Type's successor in the segment will sport rear-drive, with plenty of input from Ian Callum. Thomson described the new model, which would challenge the 3 Series as having, "Big wheels right to the ends of the car, low bonnet, short overhangs, very low cabins." Sounds good to us.
