This car has a salvage title, Please check your local laws to see what is needed to register it in your state. You can see the collision damage. I don't feel its nearly as bad as it looks. It runs great. It doesn't move forward but goes into reverse. I think its a shift issue from the recovery. Not a big deal. This looks like it was a very well kept car before the accident. I normally do not take the cars apart. I cannot predict what problems could arise after purchase or what you will find if/when the car is taken apart. I assume no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle or any incorrect assumptions made by Buyer. 2. Consumer organizations recommend having an independent inspection of a used car before purchasing. EBay usually provides a link for you to arrange such an inspection, regardless of where you live. 3. This car is located in Massachusetts. This sale shall be governed by and under the laws of Massachusetts. Any dispute or action arising out of this sale must be brought and resolved in Massachusetts, and the parties agree that Massachusetts shall have personal jurisdiction over them and be the exclusive venue. 4. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pick-up of the vehicle. I can help to arrange shipping, but Buyer must pay all costs and enter the final arrangements with the shipper. I cannot be held responsible for any damage or other problem associated with shipping. 5. Winning Bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours, I reserve the right to relist the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or otherwise. Full balance is due within 5 business days of auction end and signed Bill of Sale must be received before the car will be released. 6. Any car not picked-up within 90 days after auction end will be subject to a $50 per day storage charge, unless I approve another arrangement in writing. 7. Jaguar Project 7 concept is an F-Type in a D-Type mold [w/video]
Wed, 10 Jul 2013In addition to the XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S GT models Jaguar is bringing to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, the manufacturer announced that the F-Type-based, D-Type-inspired Project 7 design study will make its "dynamic" debut at the festival, with driving duties assigned to Mike Cross, Jaguar's chief engineer of vehicle integrity. Here's the cool part: With Jaguar's Director of Design, Ian Callum, leading the team responsible for Project 7, it went from the drawing board to track testing in only four months, Jaguar states, with a claimed 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds and top speed of 186 miles per hour.
Project 7, which was named in honor of Jaguar's seven wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be making runs up the hill at Goodwood over all three days of the festival, which starts at the Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, this Friday.
Far from a fragile concept car, Jaguar says, the single-seat Project 7 is a fully functional sports car. It uses the all-aluminum chassis and body of the F-Type, retains that car's 550-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and eight-speed automatic transmission but features lots of bespoke carbon fiber aerodynamic bits, some of which were inspired by the Le Mans-winning D-Type of the 1950s. The most obvious nod to that classic is the rear fairing with integrated rollover hoop - the F-Type's convertible top is gone. The windshield was also lowered, giving the roadster a more rakish silhouette as it sits on 20-inch forged-alloy wheels with carbon fiber inserts.
Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.
In the video, the XKE sits in front of two heavily modded XK120s and another '63 XKE, but Leno said all he's done - and all he plans to do - is clean it up and put on a modern set of wire wheels for safety.
He's not on any junket and there are no guests, it's just a guy talking about an object dear to his heart. If you need a refresher on the excellent genes of the new F-Type, check out the video below.
Jaguar shows off production XE body in camo
Sun, 18 May 2014Jaguar turned to Twitter and Facebook to reveal the production form of its coming XE sedan that we'll see for real at the Paris Motor Show. This is the first of a series of show-offs, Jaguar planning to wrap the bodywork in see-through camo that shows off the aluminum monocoque and other internals the company will use to promote the XE over its German rivals. That aluminum structure, which Jaguar calls iQ[Al], will also be used for other Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Underneath that long bonnet and ahead of that terribly short trunk will come a series of Ingenium engines, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines in diesel and petrol forms that will come in a variety of power options, and the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that can also be found in the F-Type.
