I purchased this XK8 from a dealer in TX in Feb of 2013 because I thought the body style of the XK8 was cool, and I've never owned a Jag before. The guy (used car dealer) pretty much overstated the condition - "rust free, perfect interior, showroom condition" etc. Well, its not showroom condition and the interior is not perfect. It is, however rust free compared to 16 year old cars that spent their lives in the North East. I ended up having a lot of work done such as; brakes, struts, hood struts, plugs, power steering pump, A/C repair & recharge, transmission, tires, etc., and now I don't think its so cool anymore ;-) I have all the repair receipts.
I had a new stereo put in (CD player, MP-3 input & satellite radio) as it came with only a cassette player. Its a nice, fun driver and everything (now) works. The exterior is "ok" with no sizable dents or scratches - the clear coat is peeling a bit on the mirrors. I have an unused can of high quality clear coat repair from Eastwood Automotive, I'll throw that in. The interior is also just "ok" - the leather on the driver & passenger seats is cracking a bit - the backseat is in excellent condition cuz heck, you couldn't fit anyone in there anyway... My pal who owns a car care business quoted me $300.00 each to recover the front seats with OEM leather - I'll pass... I did, however, have him refinish the wheels - they all look great. It really is a nice-looking car (if you don't look real close) and my son and I get a lot of compliments when we drive it. Feel free to ask questions or set up an appointment to see that car. Thanks for looking |

Jaguar Land Rover opens winter testing facility in Minnesota
Wed, 12 Dec 2012As it begins the rollout of the all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ and XF models, Jaguar Land Rover has just announced that it has opened a new facility in northern Minnesota for winter testing. Located in International Falls, MN (on the US and Canadian border), the British automaker says it is one of the coldest locations in the Continental US. Jaguar's new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system was developed primarily to help sell more cars in the northern US, so it only makes sense to open a testing area in the US as well.
With temperatures that can drop to minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit, International Falls was chosen to mimic some of the worst weather a Jaguar or Land Rover will ever see. The grounds house testing chambers, various road surfaces and even a frozen lake. This new facility complements the hot-weather testing grounds in Phoenix, AZ.
The official press release is posted below.
Lister says it'll tune F-Pace SVR into the world's fastest SUV
Fri, May 11 2018The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is fast. Blisteringly fast. With its 550-horsepower, five-liter V8 it will hit 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and go on to 176 mph. That sounds like the perfect blank canvas for Jaguar outfitter Lister, doesn't it? Known for its Jaguar-based race cars and road-going specials, Lister has built some legendary cars in its time. Now, accompanied by the teaser image the company's account tweeted yesterday, Lister says it'll build the world's fastest SUV out of the F-Pace SVR. It'll actually have to be really, really quick, as several sports utility vehicles now hit 60 mph in well under 4 seconds. The Tesla Model X P100D does that in 2.9 seconds with Ludicrous Mode selected, thanks to its electric grunt. On the fossil fuel side of things, there's the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which relies on the 707hp Hellcat V8 to reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. That number is matched by the Lamborghini Urus, and another Italian, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio can get to 60 in under 4 seconds. Beat all of those, Lister, and the throne is yours. Earlier in an Autocar interview, Lister's Lawrence Whittaker claimed the Lister-tuned SVR will have as much as 670 horsepower, a good hike up from the stock vehicle's power figure. Reportedly 250 units will be built. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. 2013 Jaguar XF 2.0T
Fri, 10 May 2013Jaguar is moving to modernize its XF engine lineup - once the exclusive territory of V8 mills - with a range including a turbo four, a supercharged six and supercharged V8s of various potencies. Personally, I'll miss the combination of this smooth looking and driving XF sedan, and the lazy power of the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine, even if the super six has earned some praise in other applications.
The truth is that the four, six, eight lineup for the XF makes a lot of sense, and this 2.0T version of the sedan is far better than I expected it to be. In fact, there's a legitimate argument to be made for it as the XF that works the best for the largest group of customers. Here's why:
