Jaguar Xjs Coupe on 2040-cars
Gig Harbor, Washington, United States
We took this car in as partial trade for one of our pre-war cars. The owner has owned this car for quite a long time and he took great care of this car and it shows. The car has a little over 67,000 miles on it and it runs, drives and looks pretty close to perfect. The leather interior is light beige and shows little wear, with very minimal imperfections. As part of the trade for a totally body off restored Ford, the owner also traded in a 1966 Cobra 429 replica in perfect condition, a 1929 Model A sedan that has been restored from the frame up, as well as a 1981 Ferrari 308 GTS. All these cars are for sale and serious discounts will be given for someone looking to buy more than just the Jaguar. Although this jaguar is a beautiful automobile, my shop specializes in restoring muscle cars as well as pre-war cars and these cars need to get sold to make room for our project cars. Take a look at our other cars at jimsclassicgarage dot com

Xcar experiences the 2015 Mille Miglia from a Jaguar C-Type
Fri, Jun 12 2015Xcar Films has returned to the Mille Miglia this year for another trip from Brescia to Rome and back. However, unlike the last survey of the historic rally from the comfy seat of a Jaguar F-Type, it did things properly in 2015 with a first-person look at the entire event from a somewhat temperamental Jaguar C-Type. As you'd expect, you get to check out 1,000 miles of beautiful Italian roads and similarly gorgeous vintage sports cars, but the reporting here is great, too. Alex Goy alternates between navigating and learning to drive the C-Type with its tricky gearbox over the four-day rally, and he narrates the entire video, as well. From what we can tell, participating in the Mille Miglia is essentially a license to break every law of the road imaginable. The police not only allow this to happen; they encourage it. Goy does a fantastic job of giving viewers an idea of what's it like to take part in the historic event. Being in a 50-year-old racecar for that long looks absolutely exhausting but also completely worth it.
Jaguar XFR-S is motor-porn on a mountain road
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S might have only been good enough to take the runner-up spot in our Editor's Choice top five debuts at the LA Auto Show, but we'd be hard-pressed to find a car with a more exhilarating exhaust note. As proof of this, Jaguar released a video showing the XFR-S tearing up a windy, European mountain road in close to a minute of hardcore driving footage.
The big blue cat has the same great exhaust note of the XKR-S, and the driver puts all of the car's 550 horsepower to work demonstrating the handling - and drifting - abilities of the new XFR-S. If there's any disappointment to be had, it's the fact that you have to jump to the 30-second mark of the video for any of the action to start.
Scroll down to watch the video, and be sure your speakers are turned all the way up.
Top Gear caught filming Best of British near Buckingham Palace
Mon, 24 Jun 2013YouTuber and car-fan extraordinaire Shmee probably had very little trouble tracking down the Top Gear film crew recently, as the group was putting together an episode that could accurately be described as "excessive." With its flag-waving (literally) Best of British theme, the TG guys gathered a jaw-dropping array of British cars, and parked them all right in front of Buckingham Palace to make extra sure that the point was driven home.
Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were outfitted with a trio of Jaguar F-Types festooned with gigantic Union Jacks, with which to survey the landscape of British motoring glory. In the video below, you'll see that this includes any number of Mini, Aston Martin, Lotus, McLaren, Land Rover, Bentley and Rolls-Royce models (just to name a few), as well as a healthy dose of weird stuff that most people would never guess at being built in the UK. The lawnmowers and military vehicles are especially cool.
