1991 Jaguar XJS V12 Classic
Convertible, British Racing Green
Pre-Ford, Built in England
1991 Jaguar XJS Classic Convertible. Original V12 engine. This car has a clear Florida title and has never been wrecked. I am the second owner and have had this auto for about 10 years or so. It has 113,000 miles on it right now. Female owned. She runs great. The faster she goes the smoother the ride. The tires on it are fairly new and have lots of tread. The engine is smooth as silk. The car does need some work and the low price reflects it. I've listed all of the issues that I'm aware of that need to be addressed.
The starter went out on it about a year ago and its been parked in my garage since.
The front brake calipers are leaking and may need replaced.
Engine hoses need replaced. Not leaking but they are due for replacement.
The top's canvas is toast, but frame and electrics are good. The rear deck canvas cover is good.
Needs a battery.
Like all Jag's it has electrical quirks but nothing to keep it from being driven.
Interior is fair.
Exterior is original with no rust and has the preferred wire spoke wheels.
Drivers door only opens from inside.
Rear windows are stuck down. Probably need the wiring looked at.
There are lots of reasonable parts for these cars listed on ebay, so fixing some of these issues won't break your bank!
All in all a way cool beach and weekend rider for a pretty low price. If you are handy with tools and have a garage and a little time you could have a head turning super cool classic for a great price. I hate to see it go but I have not the time, money or know how to fix it myself.
Note this vehicle is listed by ebayer "thebluemeridian" as a favor for a friend. Thanks.

Lapping Le Mans with 1956's version of a dash cam
Wed, 01 May 2013Mike Hawthorne and Ivor Bueb won The 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955 driving a Jaguar D-Type. The following year, a few days before the race, a British broadcaster put cameras on Hawthorne's car, hung a mic from a plate on his race suit and had him narrate a lap of the Circuit de la Sarthe.
It is compelling viewing. A new pit complex was built after the massive accident on the front straight in 1955, but this was still a time when crews prepped for the race on roads that were open to the public. Hawthorne's lap includes maneuvers to avoid bicyclists and cars, and gems like letting us know that doing 185 miles per hour down the Mulsanne Straight was where you could "relax a little, recover your energy." Watch him work it like the men of old in the video below.
Jaguar Land Rover data leak reveals employee records, upcoming layoffs
Fri, May 25 2018A massive data leak has revealed the personnel files of hundreds of employees at Jaguar Land Rover's factory in Solihull, England. The documents reveal details such as sick days used, disciplinary issues and — most notably — red lines indicating potential firings in the weeks or months ahead. In total, the personal records of more than 600 workers were released. JLR is scrambling to contain the crisis. The breach was first reported by the Huffington Post UK, with the automaker initially claiming the story was "fake news." That publicity gaff certainly didn't help matters, especially for employees staring at their name with a red line slashed across it. Last month, the British automaker had said it would be eliminating roughly 1,000 employees at factories in the U.K. The Solihull plant, which produces models like the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Jaguar F-Pace and Jaguar XE, was among those mentioned in the statement. JLR, which is owned by the Indian conglomerate Tata Motors, is facing a steep drop in sales, particularly in its home market. The main culprits include a huge slump in sales of diesel-powered vehicles - a vital part of JLR's business in the U.K. and throughout Europe - along with fears about how the upcoming "Brexit" will affect business operations. In the HuffPost UK story, one worker called the situation "disgusting" and "embarrassing," adding that people at the factory now know whether they, or their colleagues, are soon due to lose their job. Jay Leno drives the Jaguar F-Type Project 7
Tue, Sep 22 2015Even for Jay Leno, Monterey Car Week is a special experience. After all, his collection is absolutely massive, but vehicles show up for this exclusive event on the California peninsula that even Jay doesn't know about. He's giving us a just a tiny taste of this year's event in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage. The majority of this clip is dedicated to an in-depth look at the Jaguar F-Type Project 7, and Jay gets the details direct from designer Ian Callum. The two of them are old friends after doing the 2014 Mille Miglia together in a Jaguar XK120. After getting a mountain of info about the inspiration behind this special F-Type, they go for a ride on some beautiful California roads to listen to the wonderful, crackling exhaust. Following the drive, Jay finds a racecar from the teens that he is completely unfamiliar with. Thankfully, the mechanic is nearby to shed some light on this rarity. We hope there're more videos to come about Leno's visit to Monterey Car Week, but hopefully his team can fix some of the sound issues in this clip.
