1995 Jaguar Xjs Coupe! British Racing Green. Clean! on 2040-cars
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States
I have decided to list my 1995 jaguar xjs coupe as sad as it is. I usually hang on to cars a long time but this one has to go. I bought the car out of Greensboro, NC and had it trailered home. I would never sell but I have found the "holy grail" of the 1995 jaguar xjs. I found a 1995 jaguar xjs coupe with the v12. 1 of only 51. This car I have listed is 1 of only 364 coupes with the 4.0 liter 6 cylinder motor. Anybody who knows this motor knows that it is a work horse that can run for 200 thousand miles plus with plenty of snap and get you where you need to go. This car glides!! Grace and Pace was jaguar's motto. I have owned this car a little over 3 years. When I got it I had a little bit of work done to it, and I stress LITTLE AMOUNT. The front bra was not cracked but it had some scuffs. THEY ALL DO. Anyway, I had it redone and repainted. It turned out beautiful. While I did they I had the rear one done as well. It had just a few tiny rock chips from the rear wheels. The only reason I am selling is I think a new fence around my new house would look great. The front drivers seat had NO CRACK AND NO TEARS but I had it re stained along with the arm rest. This turned out great as well. The wood was all in wonderful condition with no cracks. The shift knob had one hairline crack running through it so I decided on a new $120.00 shift knob made from Chappy. The headliner is flawless. I would drive this car across the entire country. Other than that the car is flawless. No door dings that I can see whatsoever. Bid confidently and just in time for summer. If you choose to buy it, and fly in to drive it home I will pick you up at the airport. If you have any questions at all you can call me at 605-321-0996. My name is Cade.

Ferrari exec to lead Jaguar North America
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Jaguar has announced that Jeff Curry will be serving as the brand's new North American vice president, effective August 13. The move is a coup for Jag, which lured Curry away from his previous posting as VP of marketing for Ferrari North America, and is further evidence of just how strong Jaguar's comeback has gotten.
Curry has spent over 20 years in the auto industry, and has worked with Audi, SiriusXM and Land Rover, where he made his start in the industry. His primary responsibilities with Jaguar will cover marketing communications, customer relationship management, and product planning.
Jaguar Land Rover's North American president, Andy Goss, heaped praise on the brand's newest addition saying, "Jeff brings with him extensive automotive and luxury marketing experience, critical expertise in leading-edge technologies and a personal passion for automobiles."
Recharge Wrap-up: Jaguar Land Rover talks EVs, Batteries should be modular
Wed, Sep 3 2014A new study out of Germany suggests adopting a modular approach to battery offerings in plug-in hybrid and extended range electric vehicles. Automakers could offer the same car with different battery sizes (and different costs, accordingly) to drivers depending on their driving ranges. This would optimize the total cost of ownership for various drivers better than the current approach. Developing a modular battery design and offering appropriate batteries for different customers "is the key for electric powertrains to meet customer expectations and become cost competitive against conventional technologies," according to the report from the Institute of Vehicle Concepts, German Aerospace Center. Learn more at Green Car Congress. Jaguar and Land Rover are looking to offer more electric driving from their vehicles. Wolfgang Ziebart, head of product development for Jaguar Land Rover, said in an interview that its hybrid system is being tweaked for more electric power and "downsized" combustion. He also said the likely target market for EVs would be second and third vehicles, rather than primary vehicles for urban driving. Within that market, Europeans look for something smaller, while American drivers lean toward larger luxury vehicles for their second car. Ziebart uses the Tesla Model S as an example of American tastes, and compares its size to that of the Jaguar XJ. Read more at Automotive News Europe. Thailand will likely approve a Volkswagen factory as early as next week. A German newspaper suggests that Thailand's Board of Investment is set to greenlight the plant, which is planned for a site near the Port of Bangkok. Thailand is a relatively large and growing auto manufacturing country, which seeks to be a major producer of eco-friendly vehicles. The country's "Eco2" program would provide incentives to Volkswagen if it builds clean cars and meets certain production targets. Read more at Reuters. Formula E has chosen Sky Deutschland for broadcasting rights in the German market. The deal includes television rights, as well as online broadcasting. Sky Deutschland has 3.8 million subscribers in Germany and Austria. Showing the races on Germany's largest pay television provider should help generate interest for the series, particularly the Berlin ePrix - the inaugural season's penultimate race - scheduled for May 30, 2015.
