1994 Jaguar Xjs Convertible Very Nice No Reserve !!! on 2040-cars
Pinellas Park, Florida, United States
For sale is a very nice 1994 Jaguar XJS Convertible. It is champagne in color with tan leather interior and a dark tan top. This is a NO RESERVE auction and will sell to the highest bidder!! Car is in great shape and is currently a daily driver, car 116,710 miles on it and everything works fine. Has the 4.6 liter v8 engine which runs great and automatic transmission is fine too... Car has had a new convertible top professionally done along with the front seats, both were done at On Top Of The Lines Auto Interiors who specialize in convertible tops along with BMW and Jaguars and cost me $1900. These were done just because of normal wear and cosmetics. Also like to include car has been painted about 5 years ago due to hood and trunk fading but everything looks decent. All glass is excellent, Car has never been in any accidents and shows itself very well for the age and mileage of the car!! It has truly been my pride and joy... Car is not a garage queen, it has been driven and enjoyed.. There is a small crack in drivers side rear tail light. Overall I would rate the car an 8/10. Wheels are in nice shape and tires are all matching bf Goodrich 235/60/15 and near brand new. Battery is good all lights come on and go off like they should car doesn't leak any fluids and I would think nothing of driving the car 20 hours with the top down. Having said that please understand the car is a 20 year old car, and peoples opinion's on what they believe is poor, fair, excellent vary so would recommend an inspection prior to bidding. Pictures show cars actual condition and is ready for a new home. Have title in hand and is in my name. Hope I have included everything, if I have missed anything please look at pictures for further details or message me. I have receipts for any work that has been done since I've owned it. Once again this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION I ask winning bidder pays $500 deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance within 7 days. I can pick up at the local airport if this helps or can help assist in shipping. |

Jaguar envisions future without V8 engines
Wed, 21 Aug 2013With tighter emissions and fuel economy regulations looming, Jaguar may have to do more than make a small, fuel-efficient hatchback to lower its model range's consumption figures - it also might give up its venerable V8 power, Drive reports. But not anytime soon, says Steven de Ploey, Jaguar's product and marketing director, who recognizes that the V8 can be replaced only by something that offers the same, or better, performance. But he has a word of caution: "We are not wedded to V8s."
In the meantime, de Ploey says there are other ways to reduce emissions. One of the first steps Jaguar could take is to shift away from the use of superchargers, which aren't as good as turbochargers at maintaining efficiency and making power. But he adds that supercharging still is "at the heart of Jaguar's performance proposition," and that the company has addressed the current downsizing trend by "replacing our naturally aspirated V8 with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6."
Consider one of de Ploey's comments on the cancelled C-X75 supercar (pictured) for some clue about Jaguar's future: "Some of the stuff we have already exploited to the extreme in the C-X75 is the kind of thinking for us and is an essential test bed to see how we could evolve from today to something that is sustainable in the future."
Jaguar details new Ingenium four-cylinder engines [w/video]
Mon, 29 Sep 2014When Jaguar lifted the veil on its new XE sports sedan earlier this month, it only revealed details on one engine - that being the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in the flagship XE S. But we already knew that the British automaker's new entry-level model will offer many other powertrain options, and now it has revealed a little more.
Jaguar has been developing a new family of 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines it calls Ingenium, which will be offered in a wide array of configurations and specifications. In advance of its debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Leaping Cat marque has announced the specifications of the two diesel versions. The first will offer 161 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and some of the best environmental credentials on the market. There will also be a more potent version with 177 hp and 317 lb-ft, which Jaguar says is "one of the highest torque outputs in the class." Either way, both versions feature variable exhaust valve timing, cooled low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation and selective catalytic reduction technologies to help meet the stringent Euro 6 standards.
That's all well and fine, but considering that Jaguar doesn't offer diesels in North America, the chances of these oil-burners making their way Stateside seem slim. But if you watch the video below, you'll also find basic specs on their gasoline counterparts as well. Like the diesels, they're turbocharged and displace 2.0 liters, but in petrol form, they offer 197 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque, or 236 hp and 250 lb-ft.
Jaguar XE promises to net 'over 75 mpg,' just not for us [w/video]
Tue, 29 Jul 2014With around a month away from its world debut on September 8, Jaguar continues to issue a constant drip of updates about its upcoming XE compact luxury sedan that's aiming to take on the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. Where the company's last bit of info focused on the car's suspension setup, this time Jag's putting the spotlight on the new model's modular platform and making some big promises about it, too. How big? Try over 75 miles per gallon big.
That's the headline figure that Jaguar is claiming for its new sedan, but it's keeping mum on just what powertrain will realize that figure. Furthermore, that result is on the European test cycle, which is more lenient than America's EPA testing regime. In any case, when the XE hits the road, Jag says it will be the most efficient vehicle from the company, ever.
That's thanks in no small part to the aluminum-intensive monocoque chassis underpinning the sedan. It's constructed from a new grade of the lightweight metal called RC 5754 that uses a high portion of recycled material. "The Jaguar XE body uses over 75-percent aluminum content, which far exceeds any other car in its class. This gives us a body structure with unrivaled low weight: it's light but also immensely strong with extremely high levels of torsional stiffness," said Dr. Mark White, Jaguar Chief Technical Specialist; Body Complete.
