The original buyer only put 18 thousand miles by 1997. This is documented in the service record which I will provide as part of the sale. Everything works, a/c blows cold, all windows, seats etc. work. There is a wear spot on the driver's seat. Paint in very good condition, a few chips, see the pictures. Interior is very good, dash is great."

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A 1992 JAGUAR XJS with very low mileage. It has the more desirable V-12 with the dependable GM Turbo-hydra automatic. The rear axle is the jaguar live rear-end  with in-board brakes-- Like all legendary XKE Jaguars.

Everything works, I have done little with the car other that regular tune-ups and oil changes, and flushed the transmission, and radiator. I did replace the front brakes a few months ago. The car has needed no repairs. The belts, hoses, are in excellent condition.  The engine runs well, lots of power, again, I believe the car's mileage of 35,4458.00 to be correct,  the original owner only put 18 thousand miles on the car in the first five years.--I have the original sales and service records which I will provide as part of the sale.

I have had the car since 2009,  when I bought it it had 32 thousand miles so I have only put on approximately 3 thousand miles. This is why I am selling it, I don't drive it, I have several other cars, I need the room and I really hate to have this car sit. This is a car the needs to be driven. It is fantastic on the highway. The interior is in very good condition, it has one wear spot on the driver's seat. Look at the pictures, other than that,  the interior is excellent, all of the interior wood is in excellent condition. The exterior is very good, there are some paint chips but the pictures provided will show the ture condition  of the car. The tires still have a lot of tread, again see the pictures. the wheels have some chips and weather wear. The original power antennae does not work, (I broke it on my lift, so I just put in a flexible antennae, which is not hooked up. Radio and cd work, Stereo, and radio work, there is a 9-disk remote changer in the rear trunk. Carpets are in excellent condition. The air condition blows cold air.   Power seats work.

There is nothing you have to do except drive the car. It has been very reliable and a lot of fun to drive.

Payment in full must be made within one week, either by cash, check money order or cashier's check. I will send title  when check clears. I do reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Car is being sold as is where is. Buyer must make  arrangements for shipping and transport.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, I HAVE PRICED THE INITIAL BID AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE OF $ 5,400.00.

Jaguar crossover won't be based on Evoque or have off-road chops

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Jaguar's long-rumored crossover won't be built on the same platform as the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, says the Australian site Car Advice. The future of the new CUV remains uncertain, but if Jaguar does dip its toes into the SUV/crossover pool, though, the new vehicle will likely be a car-based soft roader, lacking (or perhaps more appropriately, not needing) the off-road-engineered chops inherent in Land Rover's small CUV platform.
Jaguar product planner Steven De Ploey explained to Car Advice, "There's many groups around the world [platform sharing] - obviously Volkswagen Group is doing it all the time - but I think we have to be careful. He added, "Jaguar is something quite different... It's about capability, but very much on-road focused capability." That seems to gel with our suspicions that the XQ, as it's expected to be called, will share its platform with an upcoming small Jaguar sedan, the oft-rumored X-Type successor.
Still, we'd recommend taking any mention of a Jaguar crossover with a grain of salt. Based on many of the (quite compelling) statements made by De Ploey against a Jag crossover and previous statements made by Jag's design boss, Ian Callum, the case against a leaper-bearing crossover seems strong. If a high-rider were to arrive from Jaguar, though, the article insinuates that it'd be more in line with the BMW X6 or upcoming X4 - sort of a coupe-based crossover. Like we said, grain of salt. If a Jag crossover is going to arrive soon, the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show is the most likely locale for its debut. We'll find out in a few weeks.

Jaguar details new Ingenium four-cylinder engines [w/video]

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

When Jaguar lifted the veil on its new XE sports sedan earlier this month, it only revealed details on one engine - that being the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in the flagship XE S. But we already knew that the British automaker's new entry-level model will offer many other powertrain options, and now it has revealed a little more.
Jaguar has been developing a new family of 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines it calls Ingenium, which will be offered in a wide array of configurations and specifications. In advance of its debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the Leaping Cat marque has announced the specifications of the two diesel versions. The first will offer 161 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and some of the best environmental credentials on the market. There will also be a more potent version with 177 hp and 317 lb-ft, which Jaguar says is "one of the highest torque outputs in the class." Either way, both versions feature variable exhaust valve timing, cooled low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation and selective catalytic reduction technologies to help meet the stringent Euro 6 standards.
That's all well and fine, but considering that Jaguar doesn't offer diesels in North America, the chances of these oil-burners making their way Stateside seem slim. But if you watch the video below, you'll also find basic specs on their gasoline counterparts as well. Like the diesels, they're turbocharged and displace 2.0 liters, but in petrol form, they offer 197 hp and 206 lb-ft of torque, or 236 hp and 250 lb-ft.

Jaguar hints at what might become of XK after F-Type's arrival

Wed, 02 Jan 2013

Jaguar may move the company's XK further upmarket following the introduction of its forthcoming F-Type. The newcomer to the range easily shoulders the burden of carrying the Jaguar sportscar mantle, freeing up the XK to evolve in another direction. While speaking with Autocar, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said there's an opportunity to grow the grand tourer both in size and luxury.
Whether that means the vehicle will retain its two-plus-two seating configuration or swell to offer buyers even more space remains to be seen. Either way, the future will likely see the XK soften its claws moving forward. And that's no bad thing. Jaguar has a long history of building luxurious grand tourers more content to soak up miles of highway than bounce from apex to apex.
What else is in store for the brand? Callum seems to have kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to acknowledge ongoing rumors of a Jaguar crossover beyond saying the brand "had to take notice" of the popularity of the luxury SUV market.
