I bought this Jag in 2009 on Ebay and have driven it about 3,500 miles since then. It was a California car. I have always kept it garaged and not driven in the winter. The exterior is an original dark blue with matching dark blue interior. Wheels are original and the tires are in good condition. Tires are BF Goodrich and the spare is a Pirelli which appears to have never been used. Smooth running, strong engine. Starts easily, smooth idle. The interior is in near perfect condition. Has heated power seats and trip computer. The original sound system is intact and has a JVC CD player in the trunk wired into it. Speaker system is original. The original owners manual with leather case and the tool kit with case go with the car. There is a low reserve on the car so don't be afraid to bid, it will sell. I am selling this car as is with no warranty. The successful bidder will be required to make a deposit within 24 hours of $1,000 through Pay Pal or cash. 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S [w/video]
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Withhold judgment on the world's greatest exhaust note until after you've heard the Jaguar F-Type V8 S (scroll down now for a sneak peek). Its cackle, boom and pop under deceleration will have you rifling through its glovebox looking for a tool to remove the stereo as an in-dash audio system.
Combining modern technology with age-old exhaust plumbing, Jaguar's British engineers have developed a way to propel spent combustion gases into the atmosphere in a manner that elevates the complete driving experience. At idle, it purrs. Under acceleration, it roars. During cruise, it soothes. Perhaps most compellingly, during deceleration, it titillates.
Thankfully, the newest two-place convertible from Jaguar isn't only defined by its mesmerizing soundtrack - the F-Type would be an impressive sports car even if the world went silent.
Jaguar F-Type Coupe is here, will debut on stage in LA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013When Jaguar previewed its new sportscar two years ago with the C-X16 concept, it showed a coupe form. But when the car hit production as the F-Type, it rolled out in roadster form only. Not that we're complaining, but we all knew it wouldn't be long before Coventry revealed the production coupe, and that's just what it's doing at this month's LA Auto Show.
Jaguar hasn't given us much to go on yet - just a single shot of the vehicle from above and nothing in the way of technical details - but we all know the drill. The F-Type Coupe will essentially be the same as the existing roadster, only with a fixed roof - with a large glass panel, mind you, to let plenty of light in and keep the cabin from feeling markedly more claustrophobic than the open-top version.
That ought to make it a little lighter (though not much) and a little stiffer, but otherwise we can expect more or less the same specs as the convertible. We'll have to wait until the evening of November 19 to know for sure, though, so watch this space for more.
Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.
