1986 JAGUAR XJ-SC VERY RARE V12 AUTOMATIC CABRIOLET LOW MILES NEW SHOCKS 1986 Jaguar XJS XJS-C 2-Door Convertible
Vehicle Description THE VIN # FOR THIS CAR IS SAJJNACW4CC128271 .... E BAY DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE VIN AS THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD NEW IN GERMANY ... Created as successor to the legendary E-Type and the last model designed with input from the firm's founder, the legendary Sir William Lyons, the XJS is actually more than just a replacement. It is a Grand Tourer par excellence, the finest mode of transportation for two people wishing to travel fast and in style. Produced for over two decades, from 1975-1996, a few special iterations of the XJS have already attained classic car status, among them the rare XJSC, or "Cabriolet." Just 3,864 of these Landaulet-like, V12-powered Cabs were manufactured between 1983 and 1988, with a only a few hundred sold in the United States, in '86 and '87 only. The car presented here is a very special survivor, being an extremely low-mileage rust free Jaguar. As pampered as they come, it's truly a dream come true for the serious XJS-C connoisseur! Just serviced with recent waterpump and replaced (all 6) shock absorbers. Drives beauitfully and runs very well. Does show some age both inside and outside but a very nice affordable classic Jaguar that will go up in value. The dashboard wood is cracking and needs replacement or refurbishing, the seats and carpets are very good throughout but again show some age and wear. The two removable roof panels and the hard top "cap" have been recovered to a very high standard and the headliner on the two removable panels also recovered. there is no soft top with this car. The body is beautiful but does have some scratches and chips around the hood and fender edges. Tires are very good and the wheels are nearly perfect. Originally sold new in Germany and imported in to the USA in 1986. The car has a vin# that does not conform to all US vin decoders and some states may require and inspection before issuing a new title. The Carfax report is clean and the current Michigan title is a clean and fully assignable. In Michigan we do not have "smog" testing so I have no idea if the car will pass a test in your state if they have one. A very rare and beautiful car offered at a very affordable price - this is an E Bay only price please mention this ad when calling 1 810 487 0303 PLEASE CALL (810) 487-2020 WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE PLEASE CALL (810) 487-2020 WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE Sovereign Auto Purchasing LLC is a Michigan based auto dealer operating under Michigan License number B005324. Buy a Jaguar E-Type continuation, get a matching wristwatch
Tue, Feb 28 2017From time to time, automakers release special branded watches. Jaguar and Land Rover are no different. The latest from Land Rover isn't particularly remarkable, but one new Jaguar piece is pretty special. Jaguar partnered with British watchmaker Bremont for a line of watches, the most impressive being a 43mm watch that commemorates Jaguar's continuation series of Lightweight E-Types. Like the cars, only six of the watches will be produced, and they will be offered to the owners of those $1.5 million cars. Each watch features a serial number that matches a corresponding car, and the faces have been designed to look like the instruments aboard the E-Types. The same goes for the hands, which look like the gauge needles. The winding crown also has a tire tread pattern that wraps around the sides, with Jaguar's heritage logo on the top. And these timepieces are built with aluminum left over from the continuation E-Types. On the back is the most impressive part, though. Here is where the watch's automatic winding weight is visible. It's shaped like a vintage steering wheel, and the outer rim is made from real wood. The weight keeps the watch and its exclusive Bremont movement wound. If you can't afford this ultra-limited watch, Bremont has a line of other Jaguar watches with many of the same design cues, at prices ranging from less than $5,000 to more than $11,000. The Land Rover watch is a bit disappointing, since it bears little apparent connection to the vehicles. Zenith, the Swiss company that partnered with Land Rover for the piece, claims the design is inspired by the Range Rover. And Land Rover claims a connection in that a British explorer wore the same series watch while completing an expedition with a pair of Range Rovers. There's also the fact that the watch and the SUV are both made of aluminum, but otherwise, the Zenith watch doesn't look particularly automotive. The box sounds pretty cool, though, since it's fashioned from Land Rover wood and upholstery. Related Video:
Are you the soon-to-be-revealed Jaguar CUV concept?
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Following the teaser of the Jaguar CX-17 Concept released last weekend, the first official image of the Jaguar crossover concept appears to have hit the Internet ahead of its introduction at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Assuming this is the real deal, the tall, upright front end removes any doubt that this is anything but a preview for the upcoming Jaguar crossover, which will likely be called either the XQ or the Q-Series. Reports suggest that Jag's first-ever CUV is likely to go into production in 2016, and it will bring with it the option for a Jaguar-developed four-cylinder engine replacing the current mills still sourced from former parent Ford.
Jaguar sculpture by RCA design students is a minimal beauty
Fri, 24 May 2013With its well-deserved reputation for high design, it is not particularly surprising to see Jaguar reaching outside of the automotive realm for future inspiration. To that end, the British automaker recently enlisted the talents of students at the Royal College of Art to create a piece of forward-looking, automotive-inspired sculpture.
The result of this project can be seen above; a sculpture created by RCA students Claire Miller and Ewan Gallimore, and unveiled to a small audience to kick off London's Clerkenwell Design Week. The spare and rather elegant form created by the talented pair absolutely harkens back to coupes from Jaguar's past as well as its present (read: F-Type) without aping any one model particularly.
In a press release, the artists had this to say about the work: "Our form relates to the Jaguar brand through its sculptural volumes, bespoke materials and visual lightness. These elements helped us to create a sculpture that aimed to display a seamless transition between interior and exterior space." Get a better look at the Jaguar artwork in the gallery above, or read through the press release, which follows.
