I am the second owner of car. I purchased it in the mid 80's from the original owner, a Doctor in Los Angeles.
The car has never been outside of California or Arizona. I shipped it to the Phoenix area in the late 80's. It has always been garaged. It has never been dented, and never been in the rain or snow. The mileage is actual. The car is in perfect mechanical condition, maintained in LA by "Just Jaguar aka Jags Only - Los Angeles Magazine “Best Auto Repair in Town”, and the owner of the shop in the Phoenix area that maintains all my cars. The current Mechanic that has maintained it for over twenty years is available to talk about the car's condition and maintenance. I have all the repair records. It has been painted once to restore the color and I had the wheels chromed. The only flaw is the drivers seat stitching is coming loose and needs re-switching, all other leather is in great shape. It has all new Lucas/factory tail light lens, new headlight rims, and backup light bar, etc. I purchased the factory plastic and chrome trim years ago and stored for this occasion. I can have the seat repaired depending on the final price. It was manufactured in England in 1984 but imported in 1985 so California called it a 1985.. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?

Tata confirms JLR is looking at NA for new plant
Thu, Feb 26 2015Despite recent rumors to the contrary, Jaguar Land Rover is considering building a factory in North America, though not necessarily in the United States. The confirmation comes directly from former Tata Motors boss and still chairman emeritus Ratan Tata in a conversation with Automotive News. "The company is indeed looking at North America as a location for another plant. Where they locate that plant, in which country or which state they locate, is something they will need to decide," Tata said to AN. The magnate indicated that he wasn't taking part in the decision, though. Rumors of JLR's plans to open a factory in the US go back to at least to 2014. The automaker was reportedly looking to open a plant in the South to produce around 200,000 vehicles a year, and at the time, South Carolina was considered a possible location. However, later speculation made Georgia a likely contender, especially after the state's governor reportedly flew to the UK to pitch the company on the idea. Recently, the business had allegedly changed its mind and had turned the sights towards Austria or Turkey as potential alternatives. JLR is seemingly on a factory building binge at the moment. It opened a new engine plant in the UK late last year and its first manufacturing center in China at about the same time. The latest Land Rover Discovery Sport will also get assembled in Brazil for the local market. Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
