Purchased from West Side Jaguar in Brooklyn,Ohio in 2009 has almost 100,000 miles . Car was involved in accident in 2011 car cut me off had to either hit car or go over median which caused most damage under vehicle unknown if there is frame, motor or transmission damage? Please consult a authorized Jaguar technician if you don't know the mechanics of the car. I have little to no knowledge about auto repair? I do know how much I miss this car. The leather seats are in tact car doesn't start due to air bag deployment. Dash light head light and tail light turn signals function electronics such as power window, radio, 6 disc changer, heated seats, sunroof work with jumper cable connected. Honestly I was going to keep the car and repair it. However due to my injuries and medical bills I have decided to part with my joy. This Car is suggested for someone who knows about auto repair or is looking for a great parts car or donor. Driver and passenger airbag deployed. When I purchased this car the sales man at the Jaguar dealership suggested it may become a collector car one day due to a limited amount produced for the first year of the XJR. I believe this would be a great project for someone I just don't have the knowledge about it. Car is available for local viewing is located in public storage area during daylight hours if you are local. If you purchase you will need a flatbed truck. If shipped after final auction closes buyer is responsible for arranging shipping any costs involved. Title fee and taxes to be calculated in addition to price of car if applicable. There are two ignition keys, handbook many many original service records. Car has light sun damage on roof and a small repairable rust area near gas tank area and rust area This opportunity won't last don't be shy to make me a reasonable offer PayPal Only car as is no REASONABLE offer will be refused car has no warranty and AS IS ALL SALES FINAL. Any questions send me a message.

Jaguar InControl Touch Pro Infotainment Review | Improved, but far from the best
Tue, Jul 28 2020The infotainment systems in Jaguar or Land Rover vehicles over the past many years have been a cause for concern. They’ve been slow to respond, lacking in features and lagging behind the high-tech luxury competition by a wide margin. Software updates and newer, better hardware keep coming, though. That being the case, it's time to take another look at what the latest infotainment system from Jaguar can do and how it goes about its business. We happened to be in JaguarÂ’s freshest product on the market for this test, too, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type R. Watch out for a full test on that car soon. Jaguar names its tech the Jaguar InControl Touch Pro system, and itÂ’s running on every model but the ancient XJ. The refreshed XE is also distinctive in that itÂ’s running the Touch Pro Duo screen setup that replaces the vast majority of the physical climate controls with a touchscreen. To get a visual guide and watch the screen in action, check out the video above. In addition to the central screen, we also dive into the fully digitized instrument cluster thatÂ’s become the standard for other Jaguar models. The F-Type gained the screen this year, and it operates similarly to all the others. On the surface, JaguarÂ’s infotainment system is rather simple and modern. ItÂ’s a clean UI thatÂ’s free of the many frills and fancies you might find in a Mercedes or Audi. YouÂ’ll never get lost in a sea of menus or settings a la BMW iDrive, as Jaguar never allows you to dive several levels deep. ThatÂ’s good for simplicityÂ’s sake and makes operating the system a cinch once you learn where the functions are. JaguarÂ’s bottom row of frequently used items is a perfect place to start, because thereÂ’s a good chance that youÂ’ll rarely need to stray from this small subset of functions. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto boot right up via a wired connection. They worked without issue all week long in the F-Type without glitches or failures to operate. In fact, we were generally impressed with this infotainment system and the accompanying digital cluster. It was only plagued by the occasional stutter or long pause between clicks, but not as often as in past Jaguars and Land Rovers. Unfortunately, itÂ’s tough to keep up when the German competition seems to be running systems that are faster, more fluid and bursting with features. Admittedly, some of those features are things that may never be truly useful and add to their aforementioned complexity.
1965 Jaguar E-Type with just 8,000 miles is headed to auction
Sun, Jul 18 2021The Jaguar E-Type is considered by many to be the most beautiful car ever built, and that's particularly true of the first-generation, Series 1 cars. And while there are plenty of gorgeously restored examples, there can't be too many unrestored E-Types as well preserved as this 1965 roadster that will cross the block at the Gooding Pebble Beach Auction next month. Finished in black with a black top and matching interior, this E-Type was sold new to Ronald Goldstein, of East Longmeadow, Mass. The car remained with its original family until earlier this year, acquiring just over 8,000 miles before it was retired to the garage in 1972. Owing to its long storage, the exterior is dusty, light surface rust is visible on the bumper, and the plastic rear window is cloudy. But the car appears remarkably intact, particularly the interior. According to Gooding, this Jaguar retains its numbers-matching powertrain, a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six engine and four-speed manual transmission, wears its factory paint, and even rolls on its original Dunlop tires. It also has its original Blaupunkt radio, factory soft top, convertible top boot, maintenance booklet, warranty card, and more. This has to be one of the most original Series 1 E-Types left in existence. We expect bidders will be raising their paddles high for this one. The dilemma for the winner will be whether to wash off that 56-year accumulation of dust and let this Jag's original beauty shine through.
Jaguar XFR-S is motor-porn on a mountain road
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S might have only been good enough to take the runner-up spot in our Editor's Choice top five debuts at the LA Auto Show, but we'd be hard-pressed to find a car with a more exhilarating exhaust note. As proof of this, Jaguar released a video showing the XFR-S tearing up a windy, European mountain road in close to a minute of hardcore driving footage.
The big blue cat has the same great exhaust note of the XKR-S, and the driver puts all of the car's 550 horsepower to work demonstrating the handling - and drifting - abilities of the new XFR-S. If there's any disappointment to be had, it's the fact that you have to jump to the 30-second mark of the video for any of the action to start.
Scroll down to watch the video, and be sure your speakers are turned all the way up.
