2000 Jaguar XJR Here is a very nice 2000 Jaguar that is a 1 Owner and ONLY has 58K Original Miles on it. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Look at the Autocheck Score. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a very nice car and one of the most fun cars you will ever drive. These cars have the huge 4.0L V8 that is Supercharged. These cars put out a ton of power. This is a 1 Owner Car that only has 58K Original Miles on it. Someone took good care of this car over the years but it does have an issue that is going to have to be addressed. The turbo on this car is bad and is going to have to fixed or replaced. I paid to have the timing chain replaced and then come to find out the bearings are loose in the turbo and that's what you can hear. I didn't want to fix it and not get the warranty. I figured if you fixed it or had it replaced you would get the warranty for the work. I would probably get a new one instead of fixing this one but that is just me. The car is currently is valet mode and has some lights on and won't go over 30mph due to the turbo being bad. Other then that the car is super nice. Under the hood and undercarriage are clean and dry as can be. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of the car inside and out and even take it for a test drive. This is a 1 Owner Car that ONLY has 58K Original Miles The exterior of this car is beautiful. It is white in color and I don't usually like white on cars but this car really pulls it off. The paint is very nice and has a nice shine to it. The car looks like it was parked in a garage most of the time. The body is straight as can be and it's hard to find a ding anywhere. There is some scrapes on the front bumper and if it was me I would just have that painted at some point. The car looks great just like it is though. I really like the bigger factor 18" wheels that they put on these cars. The really give it a nice look. The tires are very nice and have lots of tread life left. The interior is very nice on this car. It is a tan in color and shows hardly any wear. The drivers seats shows a tiny bit of wear like a couple stress marks in it but other then that the seats have no rips or tears in them anywhere. The back seats don't look like they hardly ever got sat in. The carpets are in the same great shape and I like how they did the two tone interior with the black carpets. It really gives it a classy/luxury look. These cars are fully loaded with every options imaginable or that you could want. Everything on the car seems to work but watch the video I go through and show you everything. This car is just a rare beauty that you just don't see to many like. Once the car is fixed you will have a super low mile car that you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner one. I took pictures of every detail of this car so you can get the full picture and know exactly what you are getting. Jaguar Land Rover considering Mexican plant
Mon, Apr 27 2015Jaguar Land Rover has been expanding its production out of the UK and into overseas markets, and according to the latest word from Bloomberg, the British automaker is considering spending more than half a billion dollars to build a new assembly plant somewhere in Mexico. Since the Range Rover Sport and Evoque are two of the company's top sellers in the US, those would reportedly be the most likely to be manufactured at the Mexican plant, although Jaguars could follow as well. The automaker was previously said to be leaning towards a location in the Southern US, and while it could conceivably proceed with plans for both, it would be more likely to go with one or the other. State and local authorities below the Mason-Dixon line have been soliciting the business with various incentives, but lower labor costs South of the Border could prove more attractive to JLR and its parent company Tata. It wouldn't be the first, after all. Over the past month alone, General Motors committed to building the next Chevy Cruze in Mexico, Toyota did the same with the Corolla, Hyundai was reported to be considering a similar step, and Ford announced two new plants in the country amounting to a $2.5-billion investment. Luxury automakers like Audi, BMW and Mercedes have also been delving into Mexican production as well, blazing a path that JLR could potentially follow. The British automaker recently opened a plant in China and another in Brazil, while investing in additional facilities in the UK as well.
Jaguar to go racing with F-Type GT3?
Sat, Nov 22 2014Most British automakers have some manner of racing program. Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren race as a matter of course. Bentley recently got back into racing, Morgan has dabbled here and there, even Land Rover has its off-road racing programs. The only one, it seems, that isn't racing these days is Jaguar... but that could be about to change. The latest intel from the UK suggests that Jaguar is closely evaluating the prospect of building a GT3-spec racer based on the F-Type. Like the Bentley Continental GT3 co-developed with M-Sport (not to mention Coventry's own successful partnership with TWR), the Jaguar program would need an established racing outfit to help develop the car and field it, and the automaker is said to be evaluating three potential partners. The development of the GT3 racer would allow Jaguar to compete (or sell cars for others to compete) in a variety of racing series around the world, including the Blancpain Endurance Series, the European Le Mans Series and, if properly adapted, other series like the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jaguar's car would have to compete with such rivals as the Aston Martin Vantage GTE, Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari 458 GT, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R. Current FIA GT3 regulations use a Balance of Performance equation that allows for a curb weight between 1,200 and 1,300 kilograms (2,645 to 2,866 pounds) and produce between 500 and 600 horsepower. A more cost-effective GT4 racer could follow. But the best part is that Jaguar could, according to the report in Autocar, develop a road-going version as well, even more focused than the Project 7 pictured above and similar to what Bentley did with the Continental GT3-R. Jaguar of course has had a rich history with motor racing, reaching back to its dominance at Le Mans in the 1950s with the C-Type and D-Type, extending through the TWR partnership in touring car and endurance racing in the 1980s and 90s, to the short-lived Formula One team that became Red Bull Racing. It launched a GT2-spec XKR a few years ago and was tipped to be developing a new LMP1 prototype, but neither are on the track today, where Jaguars only compete in vintage racing. Jaguar has something special planned for Goodwood
Mon, 23 Jun 2014It's been barely a week since JLR announced its new Special Operations division, dedicated to creating limited-run halo cars and custom creations for both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Now the British automaker has confirmed the debut of the division's first project.
We don't know what it is, exactly, that Jaguar will be bringing to the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week, but we bet it'll be exciting. If we were the betting kind, we'd put our money on some kind of hot-rod F-Type, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Alongside whatever JLR Special Operations has got cooking, Coventry will also be bringing the new F-Type R Coupe and XFR-S Sportbrake to run up the hill alongside a whole slew of classic and racing Jaguars, including a pair of D-Types, a Group 44 E-Type, a Group A XJS and the reunion of XJR-9 and Andy Wallace that last saw each other on the top step of the podium at Le Mans in 1988.
