Beautiful Jaguar Xj8 Low Miles on 2040-cars
Louisville, Kentucky, United States
You are looking at a really nice 1998 Jaguar XJ8. It has a beautiful color combination, exterior color is Mistral and interior is Oatmeal Connolly leather with Walnut trim. It has always been serviced at the Jaguar dealer including its major services and a new transmission in 2011. As you will see from the pictures the vehicle has a lot of features including an Alpine CD changer in the truck (an $800.00 option on the window sticker), power windows, power locks, power seats, power tilt and slide sunroof, power tilt and tele steering column, automatic climate control and more. The vehicle also has new tires that were installed last week. How nice this car is now and all the options it has tells me why it was $56,130.00 in 1998.
It truly drives very solid and better than most new vehicles on the road right now. I have the original window sticker, all books, 3 keys, 2 remotes and all service records. The pictures are good but if you really want to appreciate how nice this car really is please come see it in person and take it for a drive. You will love it. Thank you for looking |

Autocar compares new Maserati Quattroporte to Jaguar XJ
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe took the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte on a spin along snowy mountain roads to test it for a specific brief: as a limousine for the chauffeured class. It's sporting credentials are impressive: Twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, 532 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque in casual circumstances that rises to 532 lb-ft in overboost, a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour sprint of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.
However, citing Maserati's desire to not just increase its sales to 50,000-per-annum by 2015, but to sell many more of its cars in China, Sutcliffe wanted to find out if the livery side of the Quattroporte could match its sport sedan side. So after taking the pilot's seat and trying out the sport settings, Sutcliffe hops in back to test out the CEO's seat.
Then he compares the Quattroporte against the long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ with its supercharged V8, a sedan that's 15,000 pounds less expensive than the Maserati. It doesn't take long for him to find that one of them is a clear winner when it comes to transporting VIPs. To find out which one, enjoy the video below.
Xcar weighs in on the five best-sounding modern cars
Fri, Jul 24 2015Getting behind the wheel of a well-balanced vehicle can be a wonderfully visceral experience, thanks to the combined feeling of things like the weight of the steering, the bite of the brakes, and, of course, the roar of the engine. Unfortunately, many of the sensations of driving require actually being in the driver's seat to understand them, but thankfully the intoxicating noise of a beautifully tuned internal combustion engine can be shared with everyone. In a new video, Xcar shares their opinion on the five best-sounding modern performance cars. The list is a symphony of horsepower. As opposed to keeping all of the vehicles brand new, Xcar actually picks a few that are recently off the market. They're all definitely champs, though. While the list itself is well stocked, you might be able to argue with the specific order, and it would be nice to hear a few participants from outside of Europe for a collection like this one, too. No matter. Every listener is sure to find something they like in the bunch, though. Turn up the volume and enjoy.
