Hello,

For sale my extremely clean, top of the line 2006 Jaguar XJ Super V8 Vanden Plas.

29,000 miles

I bought this car from the original owner. He was obviously an older gentleman who drove very little and kept the car immaculate, it's like new.

Carfax is flawless.

Private Party Blue Book is $33,000. The reserve price on the auction is way below wholesale.

Because of the condition and rarity, this XJ will not sell for less than the reserve price.

There are very, very little signs of wear anywhere on the car.

The interior is near mint, and the exterior is as clean as a 2006 can be.

The brilliant silver paint is perfect showing no scratches or dings.

2006-2007 are the last great years of this particular classic model.

There are no issues to speak of whatsoever, car is perfect. Runs & drives perfect, as it should.

Everything works, has brand new tires, car has been thoroughly inspected, brakes are perfect, tires perfect, alignment perfect. Not only is this a rare car, but super rare in this condition with such low mileage. It's a gem, and that's why I bought it. I'm selling because I just ordered an FTYPE Coupe. Last year I bought a Tesla P85 and a V12 Ferarri, this car is more of a pleasure to drive that either of those.

Included are all original booklets, radio code, etc. No rust.

Bluetooth phone connection works amazingly well.

DVD Navigation, parking sensors.

Front & rear heated seats.

Heated steering wheel.

This is the standard wheel base, not the super long L model. It has the sheep skin floor mats, in great condition. Everything about the car is great condition, both the front & back seats look brand new. All the panels and dash look brand new. Includes untouched full size spare tire & jack. There is minor wheel rash from the previous owner but can easily be fixed.

This is the easiest listing I've had to do, there's nothing that needs to mentioned with his car, see the photos.

When I purchased the car, I paid $4100 for a bumper to bumper 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. After the inspection though, I cancelled the warranty. I purchased it through Fidelity.

Please email with any questions, or to obtain phone number, or to schedule test drive,

thank you.

2023 J.D. Power APEAL Study shows new-car customer satisfaction scores slip

Thu, Jul 20 2023

J.D. Power survey results have been slightly up but mostly down for automakers this year, literally. In February, the 2023 Vehicle Dependability Study showed an overall decline compared the 2022 a month before the Customer Service Index Study did the same. The trend reversed in June with a better overall score on the 2023 U.S. Electric Vehicle Consideration Study than in 2022, then declined again the same month on with a lower overall score on the 2023 Initial Quality Study. The declines continue with the 2023 J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, overall satisfaction among the 84,555 respondents down two points overall compared to 2022, to 845 out of 1,000 points. Because last year's score dropped compared to 2021, this year marks the first consecutive decline in the study's 28-year history. The study tries to "[measure] owners' emotional attachment and level of excitement with new vehicle" after 90 days of ownership by asking new owners to rate 37 attributes in 10 areas around the vehicle, such as the feeling they get when they hit the accelerator. Satisfaction with nine of the attributes is down this year versus last, fuel economy the only segment to show better results with 15 points more satisfaction. Styling and infotainment are big drags on satisfaction. Responses to new car exterior looks tallied 888 points, down from 894 last year, the largest drop in this year's study. On the digital side, less than half of those surveyed this year said they prefer using a manufacturer's built-in infotainment. From 70% of respondents in 2020 preferring to use a manufacturer's in-house software to play audio instead of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, that's 56% in 2023. Going all-in on Google appears to have the best effect. J.D. Power said that vehicles with both Google's Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS) and Google Automotive Services (GAS) "score higher in the infotainment category than those with no AAOS whatsoever. AAOS without GAS receives the lowest scores for infotainment of the three categories."  Frank Hanley, senior director of auto benchmarking at J.D. Power, said, "Despite the technology and design innovations that manufacturers put into new vehicles, owners are lukewarm about them. While innovations like charging pads, vehicle apps and advanced audio features should enhance an owner’s experience, this is not the case when problems are experienced.

Jaguar F-Type coupe to cost more than convertible?

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Jaguar may price the much-rumored F-Type Coupe above the F-Type Convertible, if a report from Australia's Drive is to be believed. What makes Jag think that such a pricing strategy would work? Porsche. Take a look at the German manufacturer's consumer site, and you'll notice that the Boxster is less expensive than the Cayman, despite being essentially the same car.
It's a fair point, and a price premium does a good job of emphasizing the sporting chops of the coupe over the open-air experience that normally entitles convertibles to higher MSRPs. It's unclear just how closely Jaguar will follow Porsche's example, though.
Both the Cayman and Cayman S boast an extra ten horsepower over a Boxster or Boxster S, and while this bump in grunt is negligible in every situation but an argument over which is "best," it isn't something to be ignored in the F-Type, particularly as cranking more power out of its supercharged engines should be a rather simple matter.

Jaguar CEO says people just don't want EVs right now

Mon, Jun 22 2015

"Customers are not impressed with it currently." These are the words of one Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, spoke at the Automotive News Europe Congress in Birmingham, England. The "it" Speth is referring to is battery technology, which he characterized as "too heavy, too expensive," and with power density that's "too low." That all could go some way towards explaining why the British automaker has yet to bring an electric vehicle to market, why it killed the C-X75 hybrid-turbine supercar project, and why it only recently started offering hybrid versions of its Range Rover models (and has yet to offer them in the United States). That doesn't mean the company won't pursue electric propulsion in the future, though. According to Automotive News Europe, Speth forecasts that "the next generation of batteries will be higher density, lower weight and the cost will come down." What he didn't say, exactly, is when he expects that next generation of battery tech to come around – or when JLR will start to more closely embrace electric propulsion. In the meantime, Jaguar Land Rover will continue investing in research and development. Since Tata acquired the brands from Ford seven years ago, JLR has quadrupled its R&D budget and doubled the number of engineers on staff. Related Video:
